… that is what I said in my later posts after that… I am linking it this much because of that book…
Yeah, not in mythology.. I agree
, more like philosophy…
Yep,even Dante talks of lust(that’s circle 2… closest to Limbo. As also explained by my beloved Gabriel, it’s the second circle because Dante apparently considered lust to be the least harmful sin) and hades in 7th canto… he literally equates him to satan(not exactly Satan… he is perceived as a raging worshiper of Satan because the words he is muttering aren’t traceable so they consider it to be incantations made to the Satan)… but I think he does so because he was lead so by his mentor, virgil…(But even Virgil is a figment of his imagination! So I would say, him presenting these gatekeepers of various circles of hell as demons is just him sticking to his theme of Hell in Inferno. Hell is a bad place and so he paints the picture of demonic giants waiting for people at the various gates of hell… also to scare people of the consequences they would have to bear at the hands of these demonic giaints for the sins they do on Earth)
There are alternate theories that , though Persephone’s story has been used in art and culture in making the Plutus/hades the bad guy… it might be just that… a myth propagated to equate him being underworld lord and evil guy.
, (now here’s the thing… Ploutos is a more positive version of Hades. They say “Ploutos was a lover of Persephone who loved her a lot”… that’s also true for Hades, but he is shown as someone who IMPOSED himself on Persephone to stake his claim over her… same story different angles! But that’s the only bad thing ever mentioned about him… otherwise he was, as I mentioned earlier, the most neglected of Olympian Gods, for various known and unknown reasons!)
I am realising that, all through the theories, he is a one woman man always… 🙈
Parallels a bit in Hindu demigods to Yama, the first mortal of following the path of righteousness , the deliverance of justice and at times actually tells the path to heaven, though he is the keeper of hell by duty. He immensely loves his sister, and is a one woman man too… pakka usoolon wala Demi god.🙏 judges and acts pretty quickly!
so , I had to stick to this narrative in case of Ram, also, the ram bhajan bgm behind ram doesn’t even let my brain get to greyer side, forget darker tones
(he is a Bhola bhala shareef sa child-like man…)
That he is🤣 as we noted, Righteousness is the defining aspect to ram’s character.
The little sized text was for interpretation…🙈 I think even kids under 15 visit/ are in the forum…😂 although they might be aware of a lot of things ,(Ek toh kids as young as 10-11 are well versed with Iliad and Greek mythology… perhaps even better than us🤣 And Joh Nahi hai, unko hum bade hone k naate knowledge de rahe hai! Yahan entertainment k saath saath Mythology/literature/art n culture ka gyan bhi mil jayega unhe…🤣) I don’t know their emotional processing level.”
