A hug that meant a million words

Hug is a very simple yet powerful gesture especially when you don't know how to convey your feelings to the other person. As they say , the best feeling in life is when you hug the person you love and he/she returns that hug with no inhibitions and with a greater force.

Today when Ram hugged Priya she didn't hesitate even a bit to respond to that HUG. It came in so naturally because both had their own fears and anticipation about their relationship. They know that they want to be together more than anything in the world ,but there are umpteen bridges that they need to cross before they can completely drench in each others affection.

On one side we have Priya with the guilt that it is her own father who wanted to take her husband's life. But she doesn't understand why he needs to do that and what has instigated him to take her husbands life. She is also burdened by the care and support she got from her husband . We need to understand Priya has never got this kind of care from any other man. When she hugged him , she was thankful to god that he is alive and at the same time she is guilty that it is because of her dad her husband had to endure so much challenges in life.

On the other hand that hug from Ram is because he is happy that she is alive. He feels guilty that he has not been righteous as a husband to her . He has been hiding about his past and many a times never trusted or supported her. In spite of all this she was willing to give her life in order to save his. He has never experienced this kind of purity in a person. He feels blessed having her in his life and wants to do everything possible to keep her happy and safe.

Both did not know how to tell the other their thoughts especially after what they had experienced. They are scared of loosing each other as they are not sure how the other will react. The trust is yet to be established between the two. They do not want to do anything that will jeorpodise their journey as a couple. They want to be together and dont want to part . They are carefully doing a tight rope walk so that no action of theirs should be the cause to part with the other.

That hug replaced a million words that they wanted to express to each other and silently conveyed how important they are to each other. They might not have started their married life like soul mates but I feel they will soon progress into one.

Beautifully put together post and very true. Even the build up to the hug was so nicely played out. Both acknowledging that there had been tension between them prior to the accident. Ram's hesitation in even putting his hand on Priya's and confirming that she wouldn't flick his hand off. To then later pulling out the tissue to wipe her tears, cracking a really bad joke (Ram Tissue Kapoor...lol) and then just pulling her very naturally into a hug and Priya bursting into more tears when he did that ❤️. There was such ease, normalcy and pure genuine emotion in how it played out. To then the way Priya tried to distance herself when she said it was an 'ehsaan' and Ram coming back to its what a husband does for his wife and not an ehsaan. Also apart from the hug, such good dialogue writing in the car scene when Priya acknowledged she does get emotionally dependent on Ram no matter how hard she tries and that Ram always lost his perspective and promises when angry, so her fears of him turning on her and discarding her from his life are so justified. Surprisingly self aware writing! 👏

Nakuul and Disha were also just so good! They really do well in the more natural, less over dramatic scenes. There is some really lovely familiarity, comfort and authenticity to them and how they play off each other as actors. I find that truly enhances their scenes together. I find Disha is also one of the few people that looks gorgeous when she cries, she brings out the incredible sadness and pain through her facial expressions really well👍🏼...They both are so truly the pillars of this show!

And for the most part the entire episode was good and things are moving so much faster. Priya disclosing the truth to Sara di, Priya on her way back home already, Ram finally using his brain in the Akki Shivi fiasco, Ram starting to stand up to his useless Mami.... Looks like we're finally moving to better tracks 😃

I saw the scene in a loop and especially the transition to that hug. It was so organic, so seamless, not romantic exactly but more like soulmates.

It said how they complete each other. The moment has a soft feathery touch to it, just smooth. It was a zone where you don’t need words to communicate, like don’t say anything I understand and I am there for you.

The way they were lost in each other for a few moments like they were transported to a different world where no worry no random thought can reach them, they felt safe. He was thankful that he did not lose her and she was thankful that she could save him from the evil shadows at the same time she was broken that she was responsible for all that went wrong with him.

All credit goes to the brilliant actors, they make it seem so effortless. Their expressions clearly showing two people who finally found solace. Had it been anyone else in their place I think it would have seemed more methodical or edgy.

Their hugs are worth any of the greatest words. You're absolutely right. They don't need conversations to say more. Designate the main.
