This a TS on RAYA.
I have never written a fan fiction, this is my very first time and so if there are any mistakes on my part I am apologizing priorly.
Priya looked pale and drawn. The tiredness was because she was overworked. She was not only managing Ram's office- although it didn't seem like a burden thanks to Adi, Kunal and Vikrant- but also handling paperwork from college.
Besides these handling the bakery accounts was another major task for her. Sara managed everything else, but the accounts needed a final look by Priya. Lastly, came the most exciting of all her assignments- cooking his favourite dish, mutton biryani for her foodie punjabi husband who was currently in quarantine. No wonder she was tired!
But she was also worried about her husband's health, so she had decided to go to the temple to pray for her husband's well being.
And so after a brief discussion with Mr. Merchant, who is a client of Shubham's recently established business, she started walking to the temple.
A worried frown crossed Priya's face as she recalled Shubham's act from last night and the conversation about the same with Mr. Kapoor over lunch. Though she had brought up the idea of returning the shares Ram had given her, she had made sure not to tell him about the entire fiasco of shubham getting drunk and the events that followed. She had not wanted to spoil Ram's good mood and ruin his light-hearted teasing her about how she had managed to impress Mr. Merchant on their first meeting. Priya had noticed, however, that her husband had seemed a little jealous of Mr. Merchant who had apparently been all praises for Priya over a phone call with Ram that morning. The thought made her lips curve upwards into a smile. He had seemed to be a little proud of her, which had made her heart flutter. But she had mastered the art of hiding her emotions, and had masked her pleasure at her husband's approval this time too by remaining nonchalant about the whole thing. But inwardly, she had admitted to herself that she had gradually begun to enjoy her husband's personality.
She reached the temple, and bowed her head in front of the Almighty, constantly praying for her husband's speedy recovery. The priest interrupted her and asked the name of the person for whom the pooja was to be done. Just as Priya was about to speak there came a familiar manly voice beside her.
"Her husband, Mr. Kapoor.. I mean...Mr.Ram Kapoor".The priest smiled and began doing the pooja.
Priya stood wide-eyed as she took in the speaker standing beside her. It was her so called 'sick husband' Himself!
An ocean of emotions surged through her- joy at seeing him looking healthy and fully recovered, confusion as he was supposed to be in quarantine at the hotel and finally anger as she realised his reports must have been negative and he hadn't told her. She was gaping wide mouthed at the handsome man in front of her who she had missed for the past 48 hours and whose thought had not left her mind even for a single second.
Ram seemed to read his wife's mind and immediately blurted out, "before you give me a tongue-lashing, let me assure you I heard from the lab right after we spoke. I thought of calling you, but then thought I'd give you a surprise by arriving in person. I was driving this way when, by a stroke of luck I saw you enter the temple and so I decided to come in as well."
The quick chain of words he had spoken in a flurry were clearly a sign that he was scared, and if she had been left any longer without a plausible explanation of his presence there, she would have given him an earful right there in before the priest which would eventually embarrassed both of them.
Thankfully, Priya seemed somewhat mollified which was fortunate since the priest was looking at them curiously, holding out his hand to offer them the prasad. Ram sighed in relief. He had managed to avoid a major showdown at the temple. But he knew it wasn't over.
As soon as they were seated in the car, Ram asked the driver to leave them alone for a while. He sensed his wife was not entirely satisfied and would be wanting to hurl more questions at him. Wilting under her severe glare, Ram wished he had some sort of super power that would make him invisible right now. That he was scared would be an understatement. He mentally prepared himself for a rant ,but was stunned at what she did next.
