I wanted to use the tantrum-throwing kid as a means to get them to talk about parenting and their views. The last part was an afterthought. I didn't really plan on having Priya pregnant but then wanted to end on a hopeful note so left the possibility that she might be open!

This one was a lot more light-hearted, but I loved it just as much!

Their cute banter in the beginning, with Ram not being able to win regardless of what side he picks 😆

Also Ram knowing the parenting styles was pretty hilarious, but understood considering the only other option were the Kardashians.

Ram talking about what he'll do as a father of a daughter. It's so adorable but hilarious... And then in the flow of things, that's where she slips up!

I thought this was just going to be about them discussing having kids, but this was such a surprise!! I mean of course it's just a missed period which doesn't mean anything even remotely conclusive, but still. It's something!!

Aah you do so well with this genre too. I'm absolutely a fan of your work.

When I planned this piece in my head, I had all the dialogues mapped out except the ending. I had initially meant to leave it as just a discussion on parenting but then it felt inconclusive, so I added this in as an afterthought.

I love writing (and reading) pieces with humour in them. I fall in love with characters that are humorous. I think making people laugh via writing is really, really tough. Tougher than evoking any other emotion, so I admire writers that can do that and keep trying in my own small way to bring in doses of humour in my writing.

Hey this was best thing I read yesterday morning.. made my day.. it felt I was watching this unfold before my eyes .. the whole conversation and observation and Priya and Ram moments were beautifully written. The cherry on top was the ending the scene the way ram realizes that he will be dad soon and the whole thing playing out before them was so pure. The hopefulness and joy of starting and having made a life together was beautiful.. loved it :)

Thank you! Yes Ram went from skeptical, horrified bystander to eager, expectant dad real fast didn’t he? I expect he’s gonna pamper the heck outta Priya and drive her crazy if she’s indeed pregnant. Hmm, that gives me an idea for another fic! 😆
