I too had got the chance to see the movie on the day it released in ours... :)

Was so happy to see the film in theatre..And Dangal is the first film that I had watched on first day of its release ...

And reason would been know to all😳..both powerhouses of talent,Sakshi and Aamir made me to do what i did..

Dangal was superb in all aspects. In all quotients,its a right mix,be it humour,emotion,drama,realisticness and powerpacked performances..One could not come out seeing the film without being affected by the onscreen mahavir pogat family and the powerpacked performance of the cast. You would be smitten by them..

Just like in the trailer, again in the movie also you could see people who just lived those characters onscreen..no stardom,superstars,established/debutant actors nothing... they just lived those characters and were so real and lovely...

Amir - he lived as mahavir phogat..nothing more he could add to that character of his...cent percent justice to character he played.

Young girls zaira ,suhani - my favs on the girls..loved their cutness,innocence ,mischeviousness ,humour and ofcourse their dangal.zaira killed it.. loved her transformation and throughout.

Fatima, Sanya - same way, onscreen they portrayed geeta and babita to the core..their dangal, emotional scenes ,all prove their caliber.

And none of these 4 girls seemed debutants and they rocked.

And that cousin character ,comes in as a narrator at times was a good comic relief..

And now coming to our darling..powerhouse Sakshi -

Her performance proves why she was selected among the lot. Sheer Brilliance.

She just nailed it whatever scenes she got with and the screen space she got..

Yes it was less but her presence, her silently revealing emotions and expressions added a major plus point.

A perfect wife who questioned when needed, gave backup to hubby when she thoughts he is right, same time worried for her girls, as always bridges between hubby and kids..all emotions, all phases smoothly showed by her.

Her silence with facial expression speaks a lot most time in movie.

Best portrayal of daya kaur. There was variety of emotions she portrayed..

Humour in beginning, gussa in not allowing to do chicken, emotional scenes when seeing her girls going thru tough strict phase under papa, motherly love for her girls..all well portrayed...

A needed subtle performance but strikes your heart where it had to..

Love you a lot ST.

Wanted to watch again and again..casting part in the movie was the best. Really applaudauble ..

They all made you feel their emotions along with them and cry when they cry...

A sports drama that one shuld never miss..

Brilliant movie and best part was they all really look like a family
I did not saw Aamir, Sakshi, Zaira, Fatima, Sanya...i saw phogat family
They all were into the characters and How!

The scenes that touched my heart:
Hair cutting scene
Zaira n Sakshi nailed it
She looked at her mother with hopes and mother had helplessness in her eyes
All her pleas n promises to stop her determined father went in vain

Father- daughter phone convo

Father-daughter match to prove each other who is right

Phogat pleading officials not to expel his daughters

And last national anthem scene

Funny scenes:
All omkar scenes...both the actors had gud comic timing and it never looked forced...natural they were

And that chicken scene...she wont take that kadayi back in kitchen

About negative reviews:
People said that movie shld hv shown mother's pov too...as a fan i wud hv love to see Sakshi getting more screen tym but but its a movie and you cannot go on showing each n every character pov...its not daily soap so you have to restrained by tym

Phogat's dialogue where he asks his wife to give him year tym and if he fails he will end it all was clear enuf for me
He asked his wife to support him for one yr and she did and world can see results
She did felt for girls, tried to do her bit yet kept supporting husband

About Babita's fights:
Agree she did not got much screen space but lets not forget Geeta is the first woman wrestler to win gold and it justifies. If they wud hv shown Babita's fights too again it wud hv increased movie's tym

About repetitive wrestling fights:
It took the girls 2 years to perfect those wrestling moves and here we are expecting them to show varied moves...its fictional and i guess itni liberty toh milni chahiye
Lets not disrespect their hard work of 2 years

About coach:
It wud hv been gud if dey had shown coach as supporting one...who trained geeta along with phogat instead of opposing his ways and it wud hv saved some of the tym and makers cud hv utilised it on showing a bit of mother's pov and Babita's fight

Aamir was totally into character- the swag wen he says "chinta na kar national level champion se haara hai"...i loved it
He was brilliant as khadus n dominanat father

Sakshi...i can write on and on her
When you have those expressive eyes who needs dialogues
Her eyes nailed the scene...she hardly had dialogues to express herself but her eyes emoted what all the character was feeling at that point

Zaira took the cake for me...who will believe that young girl is debutant...she was sheer brilliance on screen...will deffo watch secret superstar for her

All The scenes you mentioned are topnotch..

The hair cut scene, words cant express the emotions prevailed there..

Mother - daughter duo killed it.. that was the best one for me..

Similarly the phone convo, so real it was...

Their fight, pleading and final anthem..

I just loved one more scene ,where daya motherly love shows up once again..

She allowing the girls to go for function and decking them up and saying finally my girls look like one..

She suppressed her feelings for her husband's aspirations but innerly feelings showed up now and then with her little,little nuances and expressions..

Chicken scene and omkar scenes are hilarious..lol..

S,those expressive eyes of hers, once again made us fall in love with her..sakshi nailed it..

And zaira, was a bundle of surprise ,that surpassed all expectations that one could have from that character potrayal.. she was a rockstar in the film..me too thought the same,shuld watch the next movie of hers just for her..

Unbelievable performance by Sakshi... no much dialogue but talking through her eyes... my fav scene were Geeta calling her dad for sorry, before that Sakshi Amir scene, Geeta winning match at last and Sakshi expressions, hair cut scene.. Amir excellent, Fatima bang on.. and Sakshi supporting character but still stands beside Amir... wow

Yes, she said she allowed girls to do wrestling,but no chicken..

Even girls she allowed but no chicken means no chicken..😆

Yes tht scene outdoor,wont tk tht vessel back, and the slap to omkar was typical wify anger and reaction.. 😆

Yes poor guy omkar is😆.. but both young and grownup fellows did well..the young one needs a special mention too,the humour was free flowed in him...
