Humshakals 2nd day Saturday
box office collections were
around 11.95 cr according to
early estimates. The 2 day total
collections stands at 23.70 cr.
The collections of the film are
very good as the media has
completely written the film off
right before the first show
started. The reviews are horrible
to say the least almost in the lines
of Himmatwala and Besharam.
The collections have surprised
each and every trade maverick
and the critic. The movie is now
all set for a healthy weekend. The
almost similar figures to Friday
on Saturday clearly indicate the
Sunday growth will be there
primarily due to the family
audiences. The movie is faring
quite similar to Holiday in the
initial two days.
On Saturday the film opened to
good occupancy of around
30-35% in morning shows and
showed good growth
throughout day much like Friday.
The growth in multiplexes is
completely visible which is very
positive sign for the movie. The
single screens dropped which is
usual stuff for a big film.
Humshakals performance circuits
wise was very inconsistent it was
good in places like Gujarat,
Mumbai , Delhi , Rajasthan , CP-
Berar etc and average in eastern
circuits. The collections of the
film were better in multiplexes in
all circuits and the single screen
dominated circuits CI, Bihar
were below par. Other circuits
like Mysore, Nizam/Andhra were
decent to below average on first
day.
With a big release size (3050+
screens) the film has huge scope
to improve on Sunday and put
up a good first weekend
number.
