so for eg JLZ TVT is 1.7..so TRP wld be around..0.8.

Coming to Ek nayee pehchan..its 1.9.(TVT) wchh comes around as..0.89. only minuscule more than BALH(yes its promoted v v aggressively by sony..)

ALso,Agree BALH is not like it was in its glory days..but many reasons for it.

1.The soap is running for 2 and a half yrs so viewer fatigue does set in..but such ups and downs happen..and its impossible that a show stays No.1 for longer esp if its not a saas bahu show..

2.Another pt my frnd is that the ratings are now coming from the LC1 towns (post Dec 2012 ) and with due course more and more LC1 towns had been added..SOny 's core audience is not from LC1..it may even not be reaching LC1 towns..SO deffo we see low numbers..NOT only for BALH but for all sony shows..CID and CP used to be 4+ ratings but CID is arnd 2.2-2.4 now CP is 1.5.now..

Also wld like to add it does NOT make sony a flop channel for its is making profits and is still around 15+ yrs..Advertisers knw sonys core audience and wld sponsor sony shows if they reach the core audience irrespective of the overall avg ratings..

For eg there are niche channels like MTV shows over all ratings are poor but are super hit in their target group aundience..ie the youth and the advertisers lavishly sponsor their shows as their reach in the desired audience is decent..

Likewise sony is more metro centric..so until its doing as expected its all fine and its NOT a flop channel..NOw this is NOT reflected in the ratings you post..

3.Another very important part ..as per TAM research the viewership in time bands of (7:30 to 10:00) is maximum in LC1 towns..hence shows featuring in this time band wld always garner more ratings in than say 10:30 pm shows.

for eg if you see all channels across the board..mostly their 10:30 pm shows have amngst the least ratings when one comapres them with shows from 8-10 pm band ..take it SP..colors or zee..

its sad that ENP and JLZ are not doing that well inspite them being new launches and aggressive promotions by sony..ideally they should have been muccch ahead of BALH..given the scenario..

SO chill take these ratings with a pinch of salt..BALH will end when it has to not because of ratings but because of no more story left..

ALso these ratings are very flawed and advertisers themselves know that and don't blindly follow them..

they are just indicators and not absolute numbers..

So chill and enjoy the show..Ratings ko itna seriously mat lo..

BALH is a superhit show..any show wch last s2+ yrs is..and it will end one day..when it has to.
