Priya is trying to put an end to the game of emotional blackmailing that Pihu has become very good at. Pihu is a selfish brat, who is not capable of thinking about anyone else's feelings except her own. What she is claiming to be love for Sammy is not in the least love for him, its just an infatuation turned into an obsession, and a relationship which has been bought and built on lies cannot survive long. Sammy still blames Pam for his having one night stands with girls, so clearly for him things dont remain in the past.

Very rightly said, times change and after all he is a good person. Once his own phase of wanting revenge from Suhani for breaking his heart, he will be miserable in a relationship where he is just about as worthy as any other inanimate object in Pihu's possession. To be kept on a leash and made to do anything and everything Pihu desires with the sword of Papa Ram Kapoors axe ready to fall on him in case he does not. I think the whole point is that Priya understands her daughter and her tactics a bit too well. Till date she is the only one who knows what happened with that boy 7 years ago, the starting point of Pihu finding the good use and power of her very own weapon of "Ram Papa" by using emotional blackmail She had feelings for him, but it took her less than a second to back up and blame him.
