Popular Child Actors in Indian TV Serials
There was a time when child actors were roped in Indian Television dailies just for an eye candy. They were used to bring in some freshness, charm and exuberance in the show. But those who thought they can't do more… think again. A child is said to be father to a man and rightfully so, we see a new era in television where these child actors have proved that not only are they capable of showcasing their acting skills with ease but can get youTRP's you could have only imagined. They have carved a respectable niche for themselves and have a huge fan following from all age groups.
So much so that storyline of shows are fabricated to bring them in the forefront. This revolution was most strengthened by launch of Colors' Balika Vadhu which went on to become one of the most successful shows on Indian Television till date. It's hard to say if this show had brought fame to Avika Gor aka Anandi and Avinash Mukherjee akaJagdish or this little bundle of talent had created a brand name for Colors' TV.
The audiences loved them and the channel got TRP it was looking forward to. To further bask in the glory, another show based on childhood friendship and jealously namedUttaran was launched by the channel which introduced us to Sparsh Khanchandani akaIccha. She was last seen in Sony TV' Parvarish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi. It seems that Bhavya Gandhi aka Tappu of SAB TV' Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah reached his adolescence on television only. We have seen 1100 plus episodes of entire Tappu sena growing up with us since July 2008.
Success of these shows not only brought diversity in content for the channel as well as the audiences, it brought critical acclaims and also opened gateways for fresh talents. The production houses were taking leaps in ongoing shows to make way for entry of child artists in the show or were deliberately delaying the impending leap in their shows due to their central child actors fan following. Today our shows seem incomplete without these little wonders and so would be our article if we don't talk about some of current child actors on Indian Television.
According to me, one of the cutest and cuddliest child actors is Dhriti Bhatia who waslast seen as Krishna in Jai Shri Krishna and Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon. But then how can we forget our reigning sweetheart Amruta Mukherjee aka Peehu of Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. The show became more popular after her entry. This chubby 5 years old enjoys her stardom a lot and wants to become a teacher when she grows up.
Ashnoor Kaur made her acting debut with Zee TV' Jhansi Ki Rani and reached new scales with portrayal of Nanhe, a very sensible and mature child inNa Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha. No wonder the adult Nanhe of season 2 had tough time getting audience's acceptability post Ashnoor. With a very strong performance in Jai Jag Janani Maa Durgashe has yet again proved her acting mantle.
To be richer and more successful than Bill Gates is the big dream of small and naughtyShivansh Kotia aka Duggu of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. This seven year old young lad has impressed all with his performances in popular shows like Balika Vadhu,Mrs.Tendulkar, Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha and Sridevi's comeback movieEnglish Vinglish.
Our next young boy dreams of defeating Salman Khan, in terms of popularity. We have seen him in shows Chintu Chinki Aur Badmash Company, Sankat Mochan Hanuman andBhai Bhaiya Aur Brother but, we adore him as Lord Ganesha of Devon Ke Dev Mahadev. This seven year old year boy Sadhil Kapoor enjoys playing role of Ganesha the most and is fascinated with his long ears and trunk.
How can we forget the cutest trio of Ansh, Palak and Payal Sindhia from Punar Vivah.Divyam Dama aka Ansh had enchanted us with his performance in Balika Vadhu as well. This mischievous boy likes to study and does not want to be an actor once he grows up, though he enjoys acting. And did we not mention about the awesome twosome of our television Bhavesh Balchandani aka Ranvijay and Harshita Ojha aka Veera from the show Veera Ek Veer Ki Ardaas. This brother-sister relationship is one that makes you envy. Bhavesh started his career in television as one of the contestant of India's Got Talentseason 1 and displayed his dancing skills. We then got to see his acting skills in Phulwa.
While reading through this article you would have agreed to the fact that today there is no dearth of talent in Kiddos of our Television industry.
