TOI: People will see real me-Ram/Wont leave BALH

Life OK's yet another reality show, Welcome-Baazi Mehman Nawaazi Ki will hit the airwaves from 21st January. The channel with making a slight change in the original version of the show, Come Dine with me, has approached the best fitted personality 'The Ram Kapoor' to host the show.

Therefore; when asked Ram about what is the reason he feels that the channel has took him up on the show as a host, he says in a humorous way, " I think, there was some lack of sex appeal to the show so the channel has approached me to anchor for them." On a serious note he further states, "I am here on the show to entertain my audiences with real me. Till now I was always seen in characters but for the first time I will be portraying myself in the show and I will try all means to keep my viewers entertained."

We further went ahead to ask him few questions and let's see what he has to say:

To whom are you saying 'welcome' through this show?

I am saying audiences a warm welcome through this show and else my audiences will see.

What do you like to eat in real life?

I like eating indeed (laughs). I don't like to differentiate between food items whether It be Indian, Chinese, Italian or any other dish, I like eating.

Which is your favorite dish prepared by your wife or mother?

I like everything that is made but especially I like Aloo Parathe.

Do you cook?

No, I cannot cook. I love to eat that's simple. I never tried cooking.

How much do you agree on the phrase Athiti Devo Bhava?

I agree completely, as at my house we have been taught to entertain our guests and take proper care of their needs. So YES! I agree on it

What will be your role in the show as a host? Will you judge who is the best?

My efforts in the show will be only to bring the real faces of the actors in front of the audiences. I will try to show them how they are in real. I will not cook anything, I wont enter anyone's kitchen and neither I will decide who is the winner. All I have to do is to just see and inform who reacts how in the show.

Buzz was in the media that Ram Kapoor will leave Bade Acche... for taking up other shows, is that true?

It's a mutual decision between the channels to take me as a host and I keep doing my work as much I can but at the same I will be available for Bade Acche Laggte Hai whenever they need me. I will not leave Bade at any moment.
