A sentence in a post defending Karthiks action is "no one thinks when they are angry,no one analyses the situation before they react to it" .that is the core point... It should be in your core that hitting your wife is wrong. You know stealing is wrong .if you find a wallet on a table in a restaurant , you will ask around whose is it or will pocket it in? That is the morale I am talking about .we are taught from child hood that stealing is wrong.i. Such a situation you will not analyse wether to take the wallet or to find the owner because there is no question in your mind, you just react that you ask around whose is it.it is similar in the husband wife scenario when you get angry , whatever the reason , you don't hit your wife to calm down your anger. That's it. There should be no need to analyse , in a marriage you don't hit.

Exactly Sri.. The very core of us is an ingrained trait.. The value systems of whats right and wrong is a basic foundation our parents lay in us..What we are taught and instilled in our childhood, we express and carry ourself in future.. Seems this dosent apply to Karthik at all..

First in the beginning of the show, then again by Kartik, 3 times by Ayesha after the fashion show and this will be the 6th time. Just because she has been taking it CVs have granted all the slaps to her.

Hahaha.
Similarly if the wife takes it then husband might think it is okay too.so it is upto the educated women to put your foot down and educate more women that it is unacceptable to hit your spouse and you have the strength to say no , I am not Going to take it at all.

Three things come into play in this scenario Chitra.
First is the strength factor, generally women are not as strong as the men , built, height, strength wise. And physically it no wonder they are called the weaker sex.
Secondly the conditioning of the Indian women especially that being hit by husband is okay because of Pati parmeshwar, they are Llowed a lot of leeway and
Thirdly in India generally husbands are elder in age so cannot hit elders.badon pe haath nahi uthaate.
But husbands should deserve this respect being elders that choton pe haath nahi uthaate..
If a man has the maturity to accept his wife as an equal, he will not hit or resort to beating .

True. Our circumstances are weird. And I have one more doubt. Violence is consideed as A certificate by the censor board. Sex and even lip locks are considered as A certificate by censor board. Then why march 12th episode has been bashed? Now that the society is changing, people are accepting a few things like they are. Why did people were even allowed to watch physical abuse. Going by the references I gave, both are not to be watched by family audience. Then why bias?

Natasha might want to make a record of being hit a dozen times in this serial. Well, when once my cousin's hubby did that. she just held his hand and repeated what he did. That was the end. Now my Jiju never behaves like that. I am proud of my cousin.

That is what is the problem that most think this doesn't apply to us .this should also be one of the morals to be laid down .hope that these posts educate the young girls and boys in the forum who are going to be the future men and women of our country to understand why domestic violence is a big no.domestic violence does not have a set definition that slap is not included but beating is .it doesn't work like that. I hope with this discussions the future generations are clear about it , hitting in a marriage in unacceptable

Me too. Very proud of her. Now she has put an end to it. If a woman thinks its okay for hubby to hit ,how can she put an end to it.

Absolutely. My elders were against him slapping her but they didn't like that she reciprocated. But we sisters and brothers stood by her saying what she did was ok. Grow up girls. No one is gonna help u. Adjust with ur family, but do not compromise to the extent that u lose ur individuality

In the name of displaying realistic situations, the CVs and the producers should not go overboard...Violence and blooshed is sadly the reality of the world today 😭...what is the point in showing it again on TV shows too?...Its time for retrospective thinking on everyone's part - the audience, the CVs and the media...

That is. What I want to say, why is violence the reality of life, specially domestic violence, it's because the women have been conditioned to think it is okay for hubby to hit his wife if she does a mistake, why why,? ..why is it okay why?
