Why do women think that it is okay for the husband to hit his wife in some justifiable situations? Wo decides this justifiable situation that yes this mistake is deserving of a slap, this mistake is deserving on sleeping in the cold outside, this mistake deserves, sleeping on the floor, this mistake deserves pushing and shoving? Who who gets to decide????
Hitting, slapping, physical abuse in any form is unacceptable. .ladies and gentlemen, totally unacceptable.we are human beings for god sake .do you think in any situation slapping or hitting is going to improve the already volatile situation, Is that how we resolve ? Even to freak out in anger and hit your spouse will it help to calm down in anyway.? Think folks think.think not as a daily soap , think if it was your own mom or sister, will you accept it in your own life? That a husband is slapping his wife for her mistake...
Don't say from point of view of Karthik he is not at fault because Nutz deserves it, but that s my question who decides who deserves what??.

A sentence in a post defending Karthiks action is "no one thinks when they are angry,no one analyses the situation before they react to it" .that is the core point... It should be in your core that hitting your wife is wrong. You know stealing is wrong .if you find a wallet on a table in a restaurant , you will ask around whose is it or will pocket it in? That is the morale I am talking about .we are taught from child hood that stealing is wrong.i. Such a situation you will not analyse wether to take the wallet or to find the owner because there is no question in your mind, you just react that you ask around whose is it.it is similar in the husband wife scenario when you get angry , whatever the reason , you don't hit your wife to calm down your anger. That's it. There should be no need to analyse , in a marriage you don't hit.

Sri nice topic..
Slapping and hitting of the spouse seems to garner more interest and eyeballs for Indian soaps and thereby up the TRPs..
But in reality I consider this act barbaric and call for punishing the preperator of this act..Its a form of abusement thats going unchecked in many homes where violence seems to be the normn in gaining upper hand.. Its happening across the societies; the only difference is the upper and middle class do it within the four walls(sometimes outside too) while the lower strata do it in full public view..
Somehow what many consider as unacceptable in reality watch such a slapping on TV with gusto. Ofcourse there are equal number of people who abhor it too.
So does this mean? TV channels can show this ill treatment and abusement all in the name of shows? CVs and producers can go any lengths to make their show more sensational by incorporating such scenes in their serial? And the viewers who normally consider such acts unacceptable watch them and accept it meekly whats dished out to them in their fav show?
YES... The answer is a big YES..We have learnt to and conditioned our mind to watch all this crap on TV..We have learned to crib and criticise, vent and spew anger on different forums about this menace and still come back and sit before the idiot box to watch our shows..
So who is to be blamed?
The media for not highlighting this issue and helping the concerned GOVT authorities to take necessary action?(the present regulatory authority is quite toothless and is titular in nature)
The public in general who can do a concerted campaign and shout their voice against such scenes?
The TV Channnels who in the race to numero Uno position have no qualms in airing such scenes?
The CVs and producers and directors who come up with such brainwave(lets say braindead) ideas and will do anything for sustaining their shows and be guided by the mantra of TRPs??
Who is to be blamed for such slapping and hitting shown on the shows???
The answer is within each and everyone of us Humans who watch TV daily..
Look well into thy self and you will understand..
BTW Thanks Sri for giving me the platform to shout and vent my views..

We need to watch out how circumstances develop in the show that such a thing happens. But yes a no no to such domestic violence. Also poor Natasha, this is the 6th time she is getting slapped. First in the beginning of the show, then again by Kartik, 3 times by Ayesha after the fashion show and this will be the 6th time. Just because she has been taking it CVs have granted all the slaps to her.

I agree with you...its not fair to show all these nonsense...it really puts off the viewers and spoils the show...

In the name of displaying realistic situations, the CVs and the producers should not go overboard...Violence and blooshed is sadly the reality of the world today 😭...what is the point in showing it again on TV shows too?...Its time for retrospective thinking on everyone's part - the audience, the CVs and the media...

I always had a feeling if man and wife are equals, when a man hits his wife, why can't the wife does the same?

Three things come into play in this scenario Chitra.
First is the strength factor, generally women are not as strong as the men , built, height, strength wise. And physically it no wonder they are called the weaker sex.
Secondly the conditioning of the Indian women especially that being hit by husband is okay because of Pati parmeshwar, they are Llowed a lot of leeway and
Thirdly in India generally husbands are elder in age so cannot hit elders.badon pe haath nahi uthaate.
But husbands should deserve this respect being elders that choton pe haath nahi uthaate..
If a man has the maturity to accept his wife as an equal, he will not hit or resort to beating .
