Couple unite on big screen

Gautami and Ram Kapoor will be seen together after a decade but this time on a big screen. Gautami was last seen portraying Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, whereas Ram is busy with his Balaji show Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. Gautami talks about working with hubby and her future plans.
There had been rumours that you are beginning your second innings on TV.
I don't know where these rumours had come from. No, I'm not doing any show as currently I am busy with my films. I'm getting a lot of offers but nothing has been finalised yet.
What Bollywood projects are you doing?
I'm doing two films. The first one is a children's movie called Ginliya Aasman starring Raveena Tandon. The second film is Karan Johar's Student Of The Year in which Ram and I are playing parents to David Dhawan's son, Varun, whom Karan is launching in this film.
So why are you staying away from TV?
We are yet to finish Student Of The Year. Once I finish that, I will think about taking something concrete on television. I'm travelling so much that I really don't get time to shoot for a daily soap.
How was it to work with Ram?
Oh, it was fantastic. It's always been a pleasure to work with him. He has grown so much as an actor and there is so much to learn from him. We started as actors together in Ghar Ke Mandir.
Does he gives you any tips or tells you to do a certain scene in a particular way?
No, but I do ask him once in a while. I observe lot of his work and learn a lot from him.
Ram is a very busy man it seems. How does he juggle a daily soap and his films?
It's tough for him to manage time as he is doing lot of films. There is Agent Vinod and then he is also doing a film with Asha Bhosle called Maai. An actor waits for his work to take over and Ram is in that phase right now.
Both of you are busy shooting outdoors. So do the children tag along?
We have never taken our children along with us. We don't believe in mixing work and family life. My kids are very well taken care of. I have a good infrastructure and my in-laws are there to take care of kids so it's easy for us to travel.
