This has lot of generalization in it. I'm gonna answer in a round about way.

Trial & error is something Indian Hindi tv shows or cinema industry does not want to opt for.

That is why Hindi shows or movies are 99.99 % romantic type.

A case in point - ZKSP - remake of Korean Hit drama "Smile You" began in 2011 with really talented team of ppl. 1st day it was 20 min long, then day by day mins got reduced and it became less than 15 mins a day / 7 days a week. Around 3rd month , show ended blaming on trp.

There was lot of pressure on the team who worked on it. All the hard work did not get noticed at all.

The other regional movies and shows in India are not at all like Hindi and they do make effort to try new things and make sure marketing is done properly and sufficiently promoted. Actors and the team do get appreciation and awards.

So what's wrong with Hindi channels - I hv no clue. I will never agree on the part - they put blame on viewers. In order for a "change" to take place, sufficient time needs to be given and need lot of promotion.

After all , the shows / movies that are categorized as "romantic" get tons of promotion.

Until the "Hindi channels / movie producers " actually decides to accept - "if they are offering something different than usual, they need to give that show / movie a chance" - the seasons won't make any difference.

It really is a matter of changing actors or tiny bit of story line - a marketing strategy right?

In the western countries - lot of research is done on what to offer to ppl. Viewers have variety on what to watch. It goes by age group as well. Also ppl have lot of other activities they can do in different seasons. Seasonal shows work here bec. viewers are not depended on tv alone to entertain them.

Balraj is my fav. character - I think cuz of Kiran Ji.

There is no words to describe how much soul he put in to a "soul less" character.

hmm I guess I could ask "Mr. Asthana what happened to your soul?"

- he'd hv a ready made answer I'd assume something like

" I buried it as it serves no purpose" or

"I buried it as I need to make way to survive in this world and searching inside looking for conscience won't allow me to succeed".

I mean his response based on his thinking & his experiences in life, which we end up assuming a lot and have not seen in the show yet. There is a mystery behind him " What made him so ruthless" ? Everyone has reason, would like to know what his is.

This is interesting. But I can't really describe. In the summer we have stuff for Niagara falls trips those are fun.
The ones I hate are cheesy commercial about " turning your gold into cash" we have that add all the time and only one guy that comes on tv for years.

I agree with you abt Indian shows. The content and quality will never see a change if the channels continue their rigid and regressive mindset and instant TRP game. Some times I wonder why some of the good shows never achieve top TRP.

we are on the same boat for the sub of seasonal breaks. In case of CB, KMH and NBTMKK I found the 1st season better than the 2nd. Even the euphoria dies down during 2nd season...some how its never dealt good by the story developers and creatives... keeping in mind the first part.

The bizarre romance trend is killing some good actors in television industry especially senior actors. They are stuck with non-challenging supp. character roles of Papa, Maa, Chachi, Bhabi, Bhaiya, Uncles of leads. I was watching this new romantic show SC of Bhansali which took a good start but it fizzled out for me.

BRKD is an exception with equal footing given to Balraj's character.. he is kept on the level of the two female protagonists as one of the three faces of the show. 👏 Even Beeji is no less than a lead in screen space and importance in the story.

Even supp. characters need to be developed to make the whole product strong. BRKD did a unique and good work by exploring each and every character This show is at least trying which makes me thankful of ROP.😊

Marketing strategies have a lot of importance. Good promotion helps. I watched shows after finding a promo interesting in 6th week or 7th week. It does happen. I watched QH 2 months after its start. The channel needs to give every show that boost and chance to be marketed well to welcome viewers. Viewers cannot be blamed for a show's failure.

Channels need to be more patient with TRP biz. They shouldn't compromise with quality for TRP. Someone in the industry needs to try or else there wont be a change
