Since the forum seems to be missing a written update for Friday, I guess I can provide a quick summary :-)

1) Nikumb threatens to quit his column at the newspaper if the picture showing him and Yamini at the engagement gets published and the editor gives in to his demand after protesting a bit...the leverage being that Nikumb's column is super hit and he can't afford to lose that.

2) Nikumb's theater group had been trying to reach him all day about an emergency but he'd been busy with this picture crisis...finally him and Yamini rush back only to find out that their leading actor has landed up in jail so now they have no one to play Dushyant.

3) Everyone is upset for a bit...Yamini tries to cheer up Nikumb and ultimately hits upon the idea that Nikumb should play Dushyant in the play as no one knows the whole play better than him...she rallies the whole group including Azam to support her in convincing Nikumb but Nikumb gets very upset and vehemently refuses to act in the play.

4) Azam reveals to Yamini the reason why Nikumb won't act in the play is because his own father always discouraged him when he wanted to act and told him that he's no actor and shouted at him if he ever showed up around the stage or theater...this left a lasting impact on Nikumb's psyche.

5) Yamini decides to talk to Nikumb about this and help him overcome this wound of his past...that is where the epi ends.

Precap shows Raghu childishly pulling down Nikumb's portion of the poster of the play which has him featured as Dushyant and Raghu shouts that the play will be named only Shakuntala, no Dushyant in the title😆

Just a couple of quick observations😊
- Even though the full dynamics between Nikumbh and his dad has not been unveiled, it is quite a coincidence to see how their respective dads have shaped both Nikumbh and Yamini's life.
- Saw the BTS of the yesterday's episode early last week on the forum, looks the team has a good bank of episodes - very good for them👍🏼
- For a such a cohesive soap.. the forum activity is abysmally low!!!

LOL the audience doesn't want cohesive soaps, they want HOTNESS and ROMANCE...and a much revered and blindly worshipped female lead would also help forum activity, I don't doubt😆

It is pitiful that there are no takers for classy, intelligent entertainment on Indian TV anymore but that is how the ball rolls, what to do.

Worshiping on IF does not have gender bias IMO😛 and when it happens just changes the entire tone of the forum😕, lines get blurred between onscreen and off screen ...but that is a topic for another day😊

This soap is a breath of fresh air spearheaded aptly by story and narration. How long it will last, I do not know but am enjoying it for now. Maybe in someways it is ok to be obscure but good in content?😃

LOL ofcourse blind worship is not gender specific...and it is my misfortune that I've seen the absolute worst cases for both genders...but since my recent unfortunate experience was in a blindly worshipped female lead forum, that came to mind first.

So yes, anyday I'll take this brand of obscurity over the rabidness I see in most other forums.

Hi Anu- I am here finally! Still trying to catch up- saw lots of episodes yesterday- time i should have devoted to more productive things for sure- but thats me- always finding ways to procrastinate!
It really helps that I have no previous knowledge and experience of watching most of the cast here except- yes- Raghu dear- you know from where 😉 And I have to admit here a bias towards the male cast- Nikumb, Aazam and Raghu- they are so very authentic and damn good. Yamini- Vinita joshi is good but she doesnt have 'THE ACT' to pull me in! Vaise I think I always have these issues with female leads of the shows I have watched till now- sad- i should connect to them more somehow😕

Anyways- still got a lot to catch up- but it has me hooked for now- just hope that it will avaod the cheese central zone somehow that all the soaps steer towards invariabely at some point or the other 😳 (tabela romance anybody??)

Bhelcome, Shalini ji, Bhelcome! The male cast no doubt is better than the female one in this show although I'd say Daddo is well cast and quite adorable...she grew on me...yes Vinita doesn't have the x-factor exactly to make you sit up and take note but she is doing a competent enough job otherwise.

Well the fact that the show has so much of a bank of episodes gives me some hope that it is unlikely to change tracks randomly...so let's see how it goes.
