Telly actress Deepshikha was subjected to whistles and catcalls when she recently gyrated to Mangta hai toh aaja at St Andrews Auditorium (Bandra) for a social function called Mee Marathi. "I was very sceptical of performing on such a raunchy number, but I did it for Kanchan Adhikari (wife of Markand Adhikari), who approached me for this," says Deepshikha. On the work front, Deepshi (as she is fondly called) has signed Kumar Mangat's Hai Mera Dil where his daughter Amita is making her debut. "I play a Sardarni who owns a dhaaba, but is dressed up in a very modern way," says the actress, who completed a four-day schedule in Panchgani recently. Also, Deepshi has Partner where she plays Sallu's sister; Brahm where she plays a magazine publisher and Red Swastik where she plays a magazine editor. Atta girl! |
