Shweta Keswani straddles a comedy track to enter BBB
Shweta Keswani one of the original Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki bahus who gave up soaps to become a glamorous anchor is all set to re-enter soaps on a comedy track with Baa Bahoo Aur Baby.
Shweta Keswani one of the original Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki bahus who gave up soaps to become a glamorous anchor is all set to re-enter soaps on a comedy track with Baa Bahoo Aur Baby.
Shweta says: "I have completed shooting for one day. I don't know when this episode will come on air. But it was fabulous experience working with them. I may continue shooting with them. But right now they have a bank of episodes. Further JD Majethia is the right person to know more about the role. It will be a humorous role and I'm doing this kind of track for the first time."
Shweta isn't doing much right now on the professional front. Personally she just got engaged to long time beau.
Shweta's fianc Alex is running an outsourcing business in Mumbai for the last five years. Shweta met him at J W Marriot through some common friends. They dated for two and a half years and finally got engaged last week. However Shweta says: "We both want to concentrate onour careers. So maybe next year we'll get married. After marriage we'll settle in Mumbai. I liked his simplicity."
About her career Shweta says, "I am not doing anything right now apart from this show. I haven't taken this gap purposely. In fact I was busy shooting for Arranged Marriage. I shot for that serial for ten months. But the production house (UTV) told me that the channel has no time slot for this show. Everyone is asking me the same question but there are ten people more senior than me on the show, so I can't be the only person to answer this question. In fact no actor will be able to tell you that why his or her serial is stuck. We are actors and our job is only acting and taking money for our work."
"Apart from this show I was busy anchoring shows and doing plays last year. I did a play called Residence Visa last year. I performed two shows of the play in the Gulf. Gagan is the director of the show. Gagan is a well known RJ in Dubai. He is the lead of the show and I played his wife in the play. This play is a sequel to the earlier play which Gagan has done called Visit Visa."
Earlier Shweta had done serials like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Des Main Nikla Hoga Chand and films like Chor Mandli, The Memsahib, Tauba Tauba, and Love In Nepal. Her forthcoming film is Gas Station On The X-Press Way which will complete this year. Apart from this she was host of Parde Ke Peeche which was telecast on Star Plus. In both her shows Kahaani and Des Main Nikla Hoga Chand Shweta had played a negative role.
