I don't remember where I got the heart brushes from sorry.

Yes you can put objects on the transparency just choose the color that you like nup they didn't comed out white I chose white color.

Yes you can put tbrushes on transparency alone but make sure after making the line you go to LAYERS> MERGE> MERGE ALL (FLATTEN).
