😆

That's right! 😆😆😆
Another thing you noticed? Everytime these people will pack a gift to give it to their family members, even when Simran will come from an international conference, she will give well wrapped gifts to her dad, sister etc. But Sia did not have that in it's original packing.

Thank you 😳

I've always felt gaandhaari made an error in judgement by blindfolding herself...both blind parents brought up blind children it seems..

😆😆

if u don't mind, can u expand on these 2 statements you made please....

  • It was her pride that made her tie up her eyes, not her 'satitva' as later translations of the Mahabharat would make us believe. was it not misguided "satitva"?

It was not misguided satitva because when she first tied her eyes up, the intention was not to sacrifice but to avenge! 'Satitiva' in the hindu context usually rests on a willingness to sacrifice, not a forced or angered reaction towards the spouse. This meaning of has been often quoted by the people who have been actively working against rituals like 'Sati' in India.

  • that lend credence to the pride of Gaandhaari....sorry - pls explain what you mean by credence?

Credibility...i was just trying to justify that the thoughts that i represented in the post are not of my own making, but there exists literature out there that supprts this argument 😊

I don't understand one part though, how come Simran did not have a music system or at least a primitive radio at home ? Shocking 😲 !!! There are so many 24 hours news channel where she can get the news.

But NO, Sia has to come and show her yet another idiotic move of buying radio for Simran mom and then asking Shaguna - Aayee, mera breakfast ready hai? Mujhe jaana hai!!! But did not forget to hug mom before leaving.

That is a very good point raised , Chikoo😆.God knows what is happening to folks at Astitva , they are consistently degrading quality. And I also feel that Niki always gets an inferiority complex with talented youngsters around her, so that we have to bear with SIA , SID , and now this Yash creature , wonder where they found him!

They did show some dissatisfaction on the part of Gandhari (i recently saw the serial again on DVD) but nothing substantial. they did depict it like a sacrifice on her part in the serial and Shakuni was the only one who showed anger. It is the most common version of Mahabharat. The beauty of the epic (original one) lies in the fact that every human has a range of emotions, and how these emotions can be misinterpreted by others; misleading to others; and that in order to become great, it is not necessary to have 'greatness' in every facet of life. I can keep writing on this, but i guess this is the wrong forum for it 😊

I think most of the stories in any epic have both the sides and kinda depends on how we take it. It also depends on how the author has translated it from original language sanskrit(?). Sometimes translator itself try to inject his own ideas too.
