I think extending to 20 episodes caused it..But Hye Na turning negative..It showed how everyone is grey shade again!!! If they showed her good then it would have been normal!!! This made more interesting!!!

On Gold bars..I read what they showed on spending millions of money for private coaching is true..They asked many about whether this is true or not from SKY universities students..It is..From the comments..

And SJ was desperate..So gold bars are no big deal..Since she didn't have cash which she already got from her MIL..Even for a hour its million bucks na..So.

On WJ tho..Completely agree!!!

I think I found SC sharing similarities with "A Strange Hero" .. execution is different but similar issues were raised ... "Class division, expensive coaching, manipulated winning certificates, paper leak" and so on ... I think that's why may be I lost some interest there as well! ... I found both shows to an extreme actually! ... "A Strange Hero" was way too idealistic while "SC" was way too "negative and cynical"! ...

For SC, I may just watch scenes with "cup noodle" family .. they were the best part of the show! .. 😆 ... Like you guys mentioned lady and her hideout .. 🤣 ... I loved husband-wife scenes in the last Ep .. they were so cute esp that stern dorky husband ... 😆😆 ... loved their chemistry together!

I found ASH very cliche'..No wonder it didn't do well..But yes..I watched all episodes..By playing Candy Crush most of the time..Multitasking!!! 🤣

There was no class division nor winning certificate like how they showed in MST which reserved for toppers..Only coaching..Other than that I didn't find any similarities tho!!!

Those stealing of papers too was done by coach which was unaware till Hye Na found it..In MSH it was parents..

I didn't like how they showed hero solving all in MSH..Like a superman..I actually cringed..Just skimmed the finale..I think 16th episode..I hardly saw as I actually read a book and watched it..😆

But yes..I get since you saw MSH first you might find it better and similiar!!!

I find them similar .. but don't find MSH better! ... Cinematography and storyline in SC is a lot more "defined" and may be superior ... tho they both relied on "gimmicks and extreme emotions"! ...

MSH towards the end got all BS .. like you said Bok Su doing the "expose" all on his own along with 2-3 friends of his! ... Also they didn't explain how that elderly teacher who resigned ended up in a such a high post making all decisions! ... 😆 ..

Overall MSH was a fluff I think ... I mean it had many enjoyable moments but HATED how they didn't explain things ... They didn't even touch the "psychological issue" of Oh Se Ho or the other student who attempted suicide, which I felt should have had a lot more focus! .. Didn't explain why second lead attempted suicide since it wasn't a planned attempt but more becoz he got succumbed with pressure at school and home! ..

Neither did I like the confrontation between him and Bok Su .. I mean come on, I was looking forward to that scene the most, and all I got were 2 mins of major blah! .. 🥱 .. No proper reconciliation .. Not even a scene with three of them after ML/FL overhears his talk with the evil mom in Ep 13 or 14, which showed what Oh Se Ho was going through all his life! .. I mean that in itself made me sympathize with him ... so can Bok Su and FL!

Anyways, major execution issue with MSH! .. Quite OTT approach a good idea!

As for SC, I remember Hye Na mentioning she wants to become president to get rid of "class division" and some other issues which I found similar to MSH! .. So high school issues were pretty close to MSH ... MSH had craz-y moms too pressuring their kids with coaching and doing OTT well! .. For me I found both quite similar with the "base" they worked on!

Sam, yes talking about how WJ ended single 😆

I was ok without the details of who & how of the murder coz of the father's redemption that followed which lead to YS's mom's..The entire "How have we been living?" was the aftermath of HN's death..hence the winding can remain a loose end 😊

WJ had gone through so much at an early stage, so a lone trip would be a change over..😃

The only complain is stretching the death case till Ep 19..As you said, might be coz of the extension..So everything seems pretty much perfect to me ⭐️

Tbh, it gave me Daily Soap feels, where we put up with everything just to see the negative one punished 😆

Loved the redemption of Yeh suh's family.. but it breaks my heart to think that it was Hye Na's death that led to the changes!! 😭 😭 poor girl had already suffered so much in her life.. on top of that she had to die coz of a pathetic reason .. !! Nothing would have changed if she had not died.. how SAD is that?? poor girl 😭 😭 that scene in last epi where Suh jin (YS's omma) has a flashback of Hye Na crying while dreaming of her mom and having a high fever.. it moved me to tears 😭 how stone hearted can these people be to be sooo unempathetic??? That too towards a little girl who has no parents amd no home? ughhh soo cruel!!!

I didn't understand what the very last scene meant.. when Coach kim was shown again with an evil smile?? Did it mean she will continue doing this to other families?? But she will probably serve her jail term for quite a few years right? So what did that scene mean?

Shaz..The ending indicates..How no matter what..People will continue to hire a coach..And such incidence continue to happen!!!

And yes..Hye Na..had a sad ending!!! 😭

Watched the first 2 episodes and damn are they good! I love the mystery, man!

This coach looks like some evil witch but let's see what role she has played in this torture of Young Jae and his mother's suicide.
