Need recs - The best dramas of the year so far

Hey guys,

I have only watched three dramas from this year. Just between Lovers ( which I loved), Secretary Kim ( which was a total disappointment) and Come and Hug Me ( Great first half, weak second half but overall ok).

I haven't been keeping up with dramaland much this year, so I need some recs. All genres are welcome but do recommend me some light stuff. I am kinda stressed out so I am gonna put heavier ones at the bottom of my watchlist for now.

Kdrama:

1.My Mister (Tops this year best drama so far in 2018 for me)

2. Misty (Its almost comes close to My Mister..One of the best female lead in a drama)

3. Life On Mars

4. Voice 2

5. Laughter In Waikiki (Comedy, hilarious in the beginning but drags out towards later half)

6. Hwayugi

7. Life

8. Thirty But Seventeen (Breezy fun rom-com)

9. Mr.Sunshine (I like it..But most of the international audience not a fan of it tho due to lead pair age difference)

10. Ms.Hammurabi

Cdrama:

1.A Love So Beautiful

2.Meteor Garden 2018 (Mainly you can watch it for leads chemistry..But due to 50 episodes it was dragging towards the end)

3.Eternal Love : Ten Miles Of Peach Blossoms (Must Watch)

These two are the only ones which I completed watching this year other than Just between lovers.. and totally loved both.

Watch my mister for the most tugging-at-heartstrings kinda story and characters

Watch Misty for the female lead alone. She is badass!!

Thirty but seventeen <3 <3 <3

One of the most feel good, easy breezy dramas with a heart. . .. Its fun, has beautiful innocent romance, its emotional, touching and hasnt got a single dull moment. What else do u need in a romcom ? ❤️

Depends on what genre or kind you prefer to watch..

Misty...Amazing, it's a must watch

Lawless Lawyer...Fast paced, confident male actor, cliched revenge

Are you human too...forced me to think, it's not the best though

My ID is Gangnum Beauty. ..its a hit, I couldn't stand it

Return ...Dark, in the end becomes too much but different and definitely worth a try

Life on Mars..loved it, psychological to the core

Will add as I remember 😊

Having watched hell number of Kdramas, now Im least invested into light dramas, esp Rom-Coms coz every other kdrama has a similar fairytale to narrate Same goes with certain thrillers/Mysteries too..I've become a bit picky with kdramas..Herez my recs..😃

Few light hearted dramas I've watched this year are :

1) Radio Romance - Light & Cute 😳 Kim so Hyun is a suprise package !

2) A Korean Odyssey - Stretchy 20 Episodes, will test your patience, but initial episodes are thoroughly hillarious..

3) Suits - No Comparison to the original one !!

4) Queen of Mystery 2 - Follow up to the first part, a fun fused investigation drama

5) Let's Eat 3 - No nonsense drama, this show will make you hungry 😆 Simple plot, not a must watch though_

Not so dark dramas :

1) Sketch - Rain is back post his wedding..watched it only for him.. Plot is a bit gritty with a touch of supernatural..Must say, weak villain backstory but will keep the guessing game on //

2) Ms.Hammurabi , Lawless Lawyer - Plain law Melodrama

Crime/Investigation/Mystery/Thrillers (My absolute favourites 😛)

1) Life on Mars : Great actors, well written, brilliant execution..Highly recommended 😊

2) Voice 2 : I love this series, Voice 2 just got more exciting..

3) Return : An experimental plot, gets darker as episodes progress, Multi dimensional characters are its highlights..

4) Ghost Detective, Guest are horror Investigations..Typically what one can expect from OCN..😃
