Okay, so as most of you know.. I went to the Epik High Concert (just got back from it actually.. ) and OMG IT WAS AMAZINGG!!!!
I can't upload pictures right now, but I'll try to write about everything I remember.
It was held in the House of Blues on Sunset Blvd in West Hollywood. The line was SO FREAKING LONG!!! And we got there two hours before the doors opened! Everyone kept staring at us and asking what concert we were waiting in line for haha. Of course, they didn't know who Epik High was. So anyway, after the tiring wait (in which I almost passed out. My friend told me my lips literally turned blue. She immediately told me to sit down on the sidewalk and went and got me water XD), we got in. They gave us orange/red glowsticks, courtesy of Verizon Wireless. The House of Blues is really small.. and very intimate. I mean, despite like visiting the merchandise corner where we got "Map the Soul" pins and taking a trip to the bathroom, we got a pretty good place on the floor. Close enough to get sprayed by the water Tablo kept spraying, but too far to get shirts and a handshake.
So, the concert started off with Far East Movement.. they were really cute. They kept saying they were from the year 3008 and had come to the past to make sure music would survive for another thousand years. It was corny but very entertaining. They performed "Millionaire", "Fetish", and "Girls on the Dance Floor". They might've done other songs, but that's all I remember haha.
Some girls from ABDC were there as back up dancers as well.
Anyway, after that, Kero One took the stage. And no offense if anyone on here likes him, but Zzzzz.... He stayed on stage for like 45 minutes.. I honestly wanted to like shove him off stage by that point. He was very.. boring.. and bland. I'm sure the lyrics were awesome.. but really, I just wanted some Epik High goodness.
MYK came in randomly for one of Kero One's songs, but more on him later. =P
After that, DJ Tukutz took the stage.. and I swear.. the audience went CRAZY when they saw him.. I'm still partiallly deaf from all the screaming (my throat's sore, too. I'm surprised I haven't lost my voice XD) And he did his DJ-ing thing along with that beatbox guy from "Cipher". And then... he started beat boxing to "Cipher" and.. TABLO AND MITHRA RAN ON STAGE!!! The crowd (and I) went WILD. Like omg. It was insane.
After that, they immediately went to "Believe". I don't remember exactly what or when they performed certain songs.. Here's a list along with a description of each performance that I remember:
Top Gun- I love how everyone kept singing along to the English lyrics. <333
Flow- OMG MYK!!!! He sang the vocals (you know, the one sung by a girl) and he was AMAZING!!! The crowd sang along to like every song, but wow they went wild with this one. Especially the cursing. I think everyone enjoyed the cursing XD.
Map The Soul- Korean version. Very sweet. The audience sang along to the chorus. "No reason to live without you." I truly felt like we were one entity' It was so incredibly moving.
Follow the Flow- I didn't know this song very well' Just the "One to the Two to the Three HERE WE GO!!" Funnn
Love Love Love- There was a break between the performances and just MYK and Tukutz came out.. MYK performed two of his own songs, and after that, Epik High all came out again to perform Love Love Love. EVERYONE was singing to this. EVERYONE. Like' it was crazy. <33
1 Minute 1 Second- Haha I just remember the deafening roar of 780+ people yelling "I CAN'T LET GO!!!!" Just.. wow.. This performance was beautiful as well' with Tablo kneeling during his parts and interacting with the lucky audience members up at the very front. *jealous*
One- They started this off as an acoustic.. MYK was on the guitar.. and.. I don't think I've ever felt so moved by this song than now' Like' I truly felt the pain of a loved one dying. Really. But at the same time.. it wasn't sad' I don't know how to explain that feeling. I loved it though. Tukutz also came down from his little DJ place and pretending to concentrate on his watch on the "Time is ticking" parts. Haha.
Fly- Haha of course the signature Epik High song. Everyone was jumping up and down like CRAZY. My voice is hoarse from screaming "YOU CAN FLY!!!" after this, tablo was like, okay guys that's it' we gotta go.. and so of course, everyone didn't let them go that easily.. and they came back for a few encore songs.
Free Music- Awesome awesome awesome. Mithra even added his own verse in Korean. =D
Map the Soul (worldwide version)- I love the lyrics to this song. "Destiny tapped me on the back saying hello" and "You're like every note carved into musical history". Just beautiful. And genius. Once again, everyone sang/rapped along. "No reason to live without you". I felt like I was going to cry almost, it was so beautiful. *sigh*
Fan- The very last song of the night. I swear, I was worried that they wouldn't perform it because they left it until the very end. This song' was worth the entire trip. If I had just come and heard this one song.. It would've been worth it. It was THAT amazing. I'm honestly speechless. I totally wish I had fancams for you guys, but all I have is crappy pictures. =( If you can find fancams' watch this one for sure'
During the performace, Tablo would take his water bottle and spray it out into the audience. I got sprayed quite a few times haha. And he'd also take Epik High towels, wipe sweat off of each member, and then throw it out to the audience. They also threw CDs and t-shirts' a CD landed quite near me, but I couldn't get it. -___-

Haha so after the concert.. my friend and I went on a search for the Starbucks' but it was closed, so we walked back.. almost past the House of Blues.. when we saw a small crowd gathered at the front. Epik High was there! Well, they were a bit far away.. and they had guards and stuff.. but still! I got a good picture of MYK.. Tablo was very close to me, but I didn't want to take a picture right into his face. That would be rude. XD But yeah, anyway, these girls kept begging MYK for a hug' so he came near us' and was just about to hug me when tablo pulled him away because they still had to take pictures with like some VIP people. I don't know. I just remember that Tablo said at some point, "Godd*mn it, if I have to take one more f*cking picture'"
And then'. MYK came back.. so I asked him to sign my ticket along with a million other girls.. And he didn't have a pen, so I gave him mine' He signed some OTHER girl's ticket, and tablo came again to drag him back. MYK apologetically gave me back my pen' And then he came back AGAIN a few minutes later with Blo. I kept asking Tablo to sign my book, but he didn't sign anything for anyone. And MYK went on the other side to sign other stuff. So I was a bit pissed. But at least MYK held my pen? And I was extremely close to Tablo? *sigh* So yeah.. then they left. I was very disappointed, especially because I can't go to the meet and greet tomorrow. =(
I shouldn't complain too much though. At least I got to go, right? =D And I really did have a great time. =D So yeah, I shall upload pictures when I'm back home. Which should be like next week. Don't keep your hopes up.. the pictures are pretty crappy. Haha XD
***update: just woke up... my throat is so sore.. aaaah >< but i'm still 😃
