Next day riya was standing alone in the bus stop. Arjun entered with his bike. Riya looked at him and raised her eyebrow. He signalled her to sit, she nodded no. He then got down slowly and parked the bike. He came back to Riya with in a minute. He slowly nudged her, Nd looked at her with a pleading face, she then signalled a silent bye and boarded her bus. He collapsed on the chair near by leaving a gasp.

THAT EVENING :

Riya entered cafe and sat there holding her head, suddenly someone sat Infront of her, she was frustrated by the Creech of the chair and lifted her head to find arjun, Then she smiled at him making a tired face then.

Arjun : naam,

Riya: call me with any name, I will be there.

Arjun: toh tum devi maiyya ho?

Waiter : didi bolo kya chahiye?

Arjun : so miss riya Mukherjee boliye kya chahiye? Samosa chai yah sandwich

Riya choked her water and looked at him surprised.

Arjun: patha kar Liya maine...waise bhi aapne socha mein haar jaungi lekin haar ke jeetne wale ko

Riya: baazigar kehthe hain, hain na... Maine wo film dekha tha

Arjun: please mere baath suno.

Waiter : riya didi bolo na kya chahiye?

Riya: peice of mind..

Waiter : 1/2 yah full plate didi

Riya looked at him weirdly while arjun was finding it difficult to control his giggles. As soon as the waiter left, arjun just rested his head on the table and started to laugh uncontrollably, riya was pissed by this and she got up to leave. Arjun immediately ran behind her.

Arjun : thoda favor chahiye bas chotu sa. Please sit down let's talk

Riya : kya? (Sitting back at her place)

Arjun: tum..

Riya: ha main

Arjun : mere saath

Riya : tere saath (looking suspicious)

Arjun: wo main tumhare saath

Riya: are bolo na, main tum do hi words ko itna twist kyu kar rahe ho?

Arjun : tum mere sath dinner pe aogi? I mean mere parents ke saath, tum mere saath aana aur thoda cosy rehna and we have to pretend like.

Riya(widened in horror) : like...

In the mean time a girl suddenly ran into a waiter who is serving nearby table and the soup in his hand suddenly slipped and the bowl with soup rested in Riya's lap. Arjun was shocked to see this and he suddenly went to the other side and passed her a tissue. In the process of struggling to get a tissue he accidentally pushed her mobile which banged the edge of the wall and finally landed on the ground with cracks all-over.

Riya(narrator) : subah ka quota aur ab ka dono mil gayi ek baar, hissab barabar.

Riya soon moved to the rest room in embarrassment after a good one hour arjun returned with some new clothes, she silently changed the clothes and left the place in embarrassment, she silently went near arjun's car and signalled him to open the door. He smiled and opened the door.

Riya: ab bolo kya chahiye tumhe? Aur kitna disasters honi chahiye.

Arjun : mein yeh jaan bhujkar thodi kiya.

Riya suddenly realized it's not his mistake too and slowly uttered a small sorry. He then slowly started driving, arjun looked at her watch.

Arjun: tumhe antique collections achi lagti hain na?

Riya : ha aapko kaise patha?

Arjun: ek baar rohan ne bola tha ki tum life mein settle hone ke baad ek antique shop open karne ka idea tha.

Riya : tha nahi abhi bhi hain.

Arjun: great. Actually it's quite a different kind of hobby not a regular one. Girls like shopping, gifts perfumes par tum toh antique peice ho

Riya: ab bolo kya kaam hain?

Arjun: you've come to dinner with me, act like my girlfriend romantic nahin Hain toh bhi chalega lekin thora cosy rehna hai and that's it

Riya was shocked by his explanation.

Arjun snapped his fingers which brought her back to the real world.

Arjun: riya itna sochne ke baath kuch nahi, you will have a good date nice dinner with loads of champagne and a small talk with my parents. Isn't this cool?

Riya : (looked at him with a unknown gest in her eyes) so you didn't have any relationships in the past?

Arjun: i had many but dekho practically pyaar, ishq, mohabbat aisa cheez hi nahi hothi, everything depends on ones needs (looking at even more confused riya) dekho hamko management mein sikhaya tha na SWOT analysis

(strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats) uske basis pe ham life partner ko choose karna hain.

Riya : toh yeh sab relationships mein pyaar nahi hain (making a puppy face)

Arjun: mere maximum relationships raat 12 baje start hoge aur subah 8 baje khatam

Riya (with eyes widened in horror): you mean one night stands. Seriously arjun? (shakes her head in disbelief)

Arjun : riya we can control feelings not harmones. (after some minutes of awkward silence. Arjun coughed a little to initiate the conversation) Riya isko ek blind date ki tarah socho zyaada nervous math hona, its as simple as that.

Riya: lekin ghar mein kya bolu?

Arjun: kuch Birthday yah party kuch bhi bolo please (joininghis both hands)

Riya: ek kaam karti hun. Neha se puch leti hun, I mean she will give better ideas.

Arjun: kisko tumhare bhai ko?

Riya: what?

Arjun: tum abhi bhi bachi ho, it will take time to you to understand what's going around you.

Riya: mein bachi hun, toh mujhe kyu leke jarahe ho date pe.

Arjun: are golu phir se wahi baath.

Riya: Riya naam hain mera.

Arjun: are itna bada drama queen ho tum. Chodo wo sab parso raath 8 baje

Riya Just nods.

Arjun: phone number batado

Riya: kisi bhi (Arjun signals to stop )

Arjun: kisi bhi number pe try kiya toh tum lift nahi karogi na

Riya: smart (giggling)

Arjun: tumhe patha hain na, how to impress parents. Please be on time

Riya nods and she gets back into the car and they drove back to her home. Rohan was standing outside of their house walking with daadi here and there. Suddenly saw her getting down with Arjun with a changed dress. He rushed towards them

Rohan: kya hua? Tum Arjun ke car se?

Riya: woh mujhe auto's ka strike hain na, mere phone dekho (she signals her broken phone) aise halath mein thi isliye aapke friend ne lift offer kiya and I couldn't say no, raath toh utna safe nahi hain na bhaiyya?

Dadi: Aur yeh dress?

Riya: deko dadi kisi ne soup gira diya (shows a cover in hand) ab mera interview hogayi toh ..

Rohan: jaake aaram karo.

He slowly moved towards Arjun, he smiled at him.

Rohan: kaise ho tum?

Arjun: fine, tum

Rohan: thank you

Arjun: tum kabse itna formal hogaya yaar,satyanash kiya hamara dosti ko thanks bolkar.

Rohan: par mere behen se door rehna, wo Teri type wali nahi hain. Waise bhi best friend's sisters shouldn't be our girl friends,dosti ka important kasoor hain yeh

Arjun: ha ha Maine kab nahi bola but sister's best friend can be your girlfriend.hain na, tum na ek number ka hypocrite ho.

Next day night:

Riya silently tiptoed to her brother's room. She slowly took his phone while he got up.

Rohan: Golu tum?

Riya: Dada phone, (showing his phone in her hand) mera phone repair mein thi na

Rohan: itni raath kyun?

Riya: Neha se kuch jarur baath karni hain. Dada lekin isme Neha ki number nahi hain (surfing through the numbers)

Rohan: chef ..yeh search karo

Riya: chef? Yeh kyu rakha aapne?

Rohan: bejha ko bahut ache tarah se fry Karthi hain wo, golu ham na talent ko encourage karna chahiye.

Riya and Rohan laughed their heart out for sometime and meanwhile Riya silently noted down Arjun's number. She went to her room and slowly sat there infront of the cordless holding it after a good half-an-hour she finally dialled the number.

Riya: hello,

Girl from that side: kaun?

Riya: Arjun?

Girl: wo kuch jaruri kaam mein hain, kuchh der baad baath kijiye.

Riya hanged down the call curisng Arjun.

Riya: itni muskil se call kiya aur wo kisi aur ladki se chi chi...

Riya she just made a frown and went to sleep. After an hour, she recieved message from Arjun about the venue and place.

Next day:

Riya slowly entered the place and moved to the table Arjun messaged. She then stood beside,Arjun's mother, who was talking to her Turned to Riya and smiled

Arjun's mom: one bottle water,room temperature and one veg platter.

Riya was shocked and coughed loudly to gain Arjun's attention,who was busy in surfing the menu. He suddenly shot his eyes up and saw Riya with a smile, but when his eyes met her dress his smile faded,he slowly grabbed her outside making his parents frown.

Outside:

Arjun: yeh casuals mein kyu aaye ho?

Riya: agar iss se thoda bhi zyada ready hui toh ghar mein shak ho jayega, Aur waise bhi mujhe itna conscious math karo. Yeh jacket na sale mein kharid liya naya hain first time. Sale mein discount pe aaya Lekin iski asli price toh 2,500 hain (Arjun was smiling at her defence) aur acha kya pehnu,agar tumhare kehne par pehen liya toh bhi mere bhai hogi yaha mere saath. Double date hogi uske baad na tumhari naak na mere taang theek hogi.

Arjun: kyu?

Riya: shaadi tut gayi na,ghar mein sabko lag Raha Hain ki mera kuch chakkar chal raha hain. Isiliye wherever I go bhai ko saath mein hona chahiye.

Arjun: sorry (touching his ears) mere maa ne

Riya: it's okay

Arjun: chalo.

They moved inside. Arjun slowly held her hands and cleared his throat for his parents attention.

Arjun: mom dad, she is Riya mere girlfriend and Riya this is my mom and that's my supercool dad.

Riya: namaste aunty, hello uncle.

Arjun's mom: tum sach me is ladki se hi pyaar kiya...(frown)

Arjun: kyu?

Arjun's mom: ladki achi hai. Lekin tumko kab se normal log acha lagne laga

Arjun's dad: love happens at the most unexpected time with the most unexpected one.

Arjun: yes dad, (he touched his dad's glass with his)

Arjun's mom: tum kya Karthi ho?

Arjun: she is my junior mom,

Arjun's mom: you are surprising me way too much Arjun. (Turning to Riya) where will you see yourself after 10 years. I mean Life mein kyaa banna chahti ho?

Riya: mein papa bhaiyya ka apna ghar, mera dream antique collection store and some peace of mind.

Arjun's mom: aur mera beta.

Riya: woh woh .. (suddenly smiles) woh toh saath mein hogi na sapne poore karne mein.

Arjun's dad: well said.

Arjun's mom: pyaar aur job ko mein ek ko chodna padega toh and you've to choose one to keep with you,tum kisko choose karogi?

Riya: mein toh job choose karungi. Pyaar toh choose karne ke option nahi hain woh emotion hain na?

Arjun's mom: sach kahun toh I am impressed, you're sensible humble beautiful, unlike Arjun.

Riya passes a shy smile to her and then they move out for their Dinner. After finishing Dinner, Riya slowly moved out with Arjun. Riya was standing out confused.

Riya (m.v): agar yeh date hain toh date ka last step toh kiss karna hi hain. Agar wo subah ache se brush nahi kiya toh hey bhagwan...kya Karu mein.

She slowly looked at Arjun who was approaching her. He slowly moved towards her and held her hand she slowly closed her eyes in tension. He then kissed her knuckles.

Arjun: best friend ki behen ko kiss karna paap hain. Agar tumhara bhaiyya ko patha chala toh ...

Riya laughed awkwardly and they both headed to their homes. Riya entered the house and was receiving many questioning gazes. She then looked at Rohan who was looking with an angry expression and she found Neha there who was shaking her head with warning and saw her father's burning anger.

Riya:( narrator ) phir se ... Mr. Arjun kyu.. again nayi toofaan.

Riya adjusts herself in train.

Riya: aaj se is Kolkata se us Arjun se aur yeh strict family se mukhthi...ja Riya jaa jeele apni zindagi.

A familiar voice from beside: excuse me yeh mera seat hain please take these bags.

Riya: you can't hate me this much please...not again

Arjun: riya...

Riya: (horrified) Arjun...
