Yeah he did. The episode before he loses them. He would have been drugged and under it's influence lashes out at the team badly. While travelling to the crime spot along with Sakshi, he feels guilty and confesses to her that "this is the only family....." and that he is sorry for his actions and Sakshi assures him that the team looks upto him, understands he must be stressed and did not take his words to heart.

There was potential in the show till the time they started making Arjun look bigger than the team and holier than law and justified his twisted logic.

Rathore was checking few messages on his phone when Arjun walked inside the room and stood near the bed.

"Mujhe kyun bulaya.?"

Rathore put his phone aside and showed him the id of the security guy he had kept with him.

" Ye kya hai.?"

"Police id hai, identification badge. "

Arjun replied in a flat tone.

"Mujhe pata hai kya hai ye, per yahan pe kyun hai? Tumne yahan security kyun bheja hai vo puch raha hun."

Rathore said bitterly.

"Commissioner sir ko tumhari bahut fikr thi issliye vo chahte....."

Before Arjun could complete Rathore interrupted him.

"Commissioner sir se mai already baat kar chuka hun Rawte.

Unhone koi order nahi diya hai tumhe, toh tum ye security apni marzi se leke aaye ho."

Arjun kept mum staring at him , while Rathore continued.

"Toh batao ki kya ho raha hai.?"

"Abhi ke liye mai ETF ka acting chief hun toh mai apni marzi se jo chahe kar sakta hun, tum sawal nahi kar sakte."

Arjun replied nonchalantly.

"Rawte bakwas band karo tum....."

Before Rathore could complete the door was pushed open revealing the other ETF members who walked in but were surprised to find Arjun there.

"Sir aap yahan.?"

Shree asked.

"Arjun tum yahin aane wale the toh bata dete hum sab sath me aate."

Sakshi murmured.

"Ye Arjun sir aaj har unexpected jagah pe dikh rahe hain, pehle tumhare ghar pe aur ab yahan."

Chhotu whispered near shree's ear, meanwhile Riya kept mum and Ayesha approached Rathore's bed.

"Sir aap kaise hain.?"

"Mai thik hun bas bore ho raha hun yahan."

Rathore chided.

"Arey sir aap lucky hain ki aapko itna aram karne ka mauka mil raha hai, warna chhuti toh naseeb walon ka milta hai."

Chhotu shook his head.

"Tumhe bhi lucky hona hai chhotu, aana hai meri jagah pe.?"

Rathore raised his brow.

"Nahi nahi sir mai thik hun."

Chhotu replied quickly, and Shree chuckled beside him.

"uh sir jo bahar khade hain vo kaun hain.?"

Riya asked curiously.

"Vo security hai."

Rathore answered throwing a glare at Arjun.

"Security ? Kyun.?"

Ayesha looked in between Arjun and Rathore confusingly.

"Ye tumhare acting chief ko puchho."

Rathore replied curtly, hence all eyes turned to Arjun.

"Commissioner sir ka order hai."

Arjun chirped straight , earning a pointed look from Rathore who kept mum at his lie.

"Oh . Wese achha hi hai Sameer tum akele bore nahi hoge."

Sakshi said giving him a smile.

"Haan sir hum toh din bhar yahan nahi aa paate toh kam se kam koi hai aapke sath yahan."

Shree added.

"Hm wese bhi jab se Home minister ke bhatije ka drug case expose hua hai ,tab se na jaane kitne log ETF ko kosh rahe honge. Aese me aap hospital me hain sir toh security bhi jaruri hai ."

Chhotu nodded, meanwhile Riya looked in between Rathore and Arjun a little puzzled considering how they both kept mum at Chhotu's comment.

"Wese sir aap apna medicines toh le rahe hain na.?"

Ayesha enquired.

"haan ek wohi kaam hai mere paas yahan, achhe se kar raha hun."

Rathore sighed, then looked up to his team.

"Wese tum sab ek sath yahan kaise agaye? Kaam khatam hogaya sabka.?"

"arey yaar sameer kahin yahan bhi paperwork check karne na bole."

Sakshi muttered under her breathe.

"Mai jab subah milne aayi thi subah ke 7 baje sir puchh rahe the paperwork ke baare me."

Riya whispered to her and watched Sakshi's eyes getting widened.

"Nahi nahi yahan Ayesha ye sab karne nai degi."

Sakshi assured Riya and herself.

"Sir kaam kya hum case me uljhe huye hain."

Shree answered.

"Case.?"

Rathore narrowed his gaze at them.

"Haan sir Shree ke neighbor me ek 85 age ki lady ki maut ho gayi hai heart attack se, per unke room me ek table ke niche trunk se hame 25 lakh cash aur gold jewelry mili hai, jo unke poti ke hisab se unka nahi hai."

Chhotu explained.

"Toh ? Kiska hai.?"

Rathore asked further.

"wohi sir abhi tak pata nahi chala hai. per post mortem ke report se ye toh clear hai ki unhe heart attack hi aya tha. Toh murder case toh nahi hai ye."

Ayesha said, thus Rathore thought something angling his head to Arjun who was quiet all this time.

"Rawte tumhe dekh ke lag nahi raha hai ki tum maante ho ki ye ek natural death case hai."

"Medical terms ko jhuth nahi bola jaa sakta, agar reports me aaye hain ki Mamta ji ki death heart attack se hui hai toh hui hogi.

Per... bahut sare cases hain jahan samne wale ko aese shock diye jaate hain ya phir unke samne aesa kuch hota hai jisse ki vo bardast nahi kar paate aur uska asar unke heart pe hota hai."

Arjun explained in a go.

"Ho sakta hai aur ye bhi ho sakta hai Rawte ki unki natural death hui ho. ?"

Rathore raised his brow at him.

"Ho sakta hai per ye bhi sach hai ki unke ghar se hame cash aur gold mila hai , hame ye enquiry karni hai ki vo sari chiz Mamta ji ka hai bhi ya nahi. "

Arjun answered straight.

"Arjun tum toh gaye the na Tanya ke papa se milne , kya hua.?"

Sakshi asked.

"Vo nahi the, subah milunga."

Came Arjun's reply.

"Hm thik hai toh tum sab ghar chale jao , kaafi late ho gaya hai. "

Rathore said, to which Ayesha was the first to object.

"Sir mai thodi...."

"Nahi sab thak gaye hoge, ghar chale jao. Subah case ke liye bhi jaana hai tum sabko. Shree, chhotu sabko ghar chhod dena."

Rathore said interrupting Ayesha.

"Arey nahi shree ka ghar dur hai vo kahan hame chhodne ayega. Hum chale jaayenge."

Sakshi assured him.

"Haan sir hum chale jaayenge."

Ayesha added.

"Toh ek kaam karo Rawte, tum Ayesha , Riya sakshi aur Chhotu ko chhod do."

"Sir mai shree ke sath chala jaata hun, hum dono ka ghar ek taraf hi hai."

Chhotu said, and Rathore nodded waiting for Arjun's answer.

"Thik hai."

"Uh sir actually mujhe kuch kaam hai toh mai ghar nahi jaa rahi hun abhi. Issliye aap sab jaiye mai cab book kar dungi."

Riya said breaking her long term silence, and hence Arjun whipped his head to her giving a blank look.

"Kya kaam hai.?"

Shree asked curiously.

"Itni raat ko kahan jaogi? Jao na Arjun sir chhod denge."

Chhotu insisted.

"Nahi guys mai … mujhe kahin aur jaana hai issliye. Aap log jaiye mai ghar pahunchte hi sabko message kar dungi."

Riya assured them.

"Pakka message karna."

Ayesha said to which Riya nodded her head positively and Arjun walked away followed by others after greeting Rathore good night.

Once after everyone left Riya booked a cab and stood outside of the hospital building sighing ,feeling guilty about lying to everyone.

She couldn't bring herself to look at Arjun and her friends with all the chaos inside her brain that wasn't letting her decide what to do next.

*Flashback*

"Liza pakka inki maut heart attack se hui hai ? Koi aur reason nahi hai.?"

Shree asked eyeing the old woman's body.

"Specky koi aur reason hota toh mai tumse chhupati kyun.?"

Liza countered back.

"Arey aesa nahi hai, tumhe bas mujhse jhagda karne ka mauka chahiye.

Mai puchh raha tha ki sirf heart attack hai ya kuch aur.?"

Shree twisted his lips.

"nahi aur koi reason nahi hai. Wese bhi inki halath bahut kharab thi.

Riya tum jo medical reports leke aayi thi vo dekha maine, inka wese bhi medicines ke bina nahi chalta."

"Toh maut kab hui hogi inki.?"

Riya asked.

"Maut kuch 9-10 ke bich me hi hui hai. Subah ka naasta kiya tha unhone Chai aur poha, uske baad hi sayad inhe attack aya."

"Toh kya Liza inhe aese hi attack agaya.?"

Riya asked again.

"Dekho heart attack ke bahut sare reasons hote hain jaise unhealthy life style, unhealthy diets , kuch dusre disease ,per age ke sath iske chances aur bhi badh jaate hain aur attack kabhi bhi aa sakta hai.

Aur inhe ek baar already heart attack aa chuka tha, toh ye dusri baar unke liye jaan leva tha."

Liza explained.

"Toh kul mila ke point ye hai ki inka murder nahi kiya gaya."

Sakshi spoke looking at Liza who shook her head as a no.

"Aur vo trunk ? Koi finger print mila.?"

Shree enquired.

"Trunk me sirf Mamta ji ke hi fingerprint mile, aur kisike nahi hai.

Note aur jewelry check karna baaki hai abhi, check karte hi bata dungi."

Liza answered.

"achha."

"Acha wese Rathore sir kaise hain abhi? Mai ab tak unhe mil bhi nahi paayi hun."

Liza asked them.

"Rathore sir thik hain abhi, rest ki jarurat hai unhe toh ab tak discharge nahi huye hain."

Riya replied quickly.

"aur Rathore sir ka puchhna yaad raha tumhe, aur mujhe jo sar pe lagi thi ek baar bhi tumne puchha nahi."

Shree taunted, when Riya and Sakshi chuckled.

"Arey mai tumhe dekh hi rahi hun samne issliye puchhna reh gaya, achha batao kaise ho tum.?"

"Ab puch ke kya faida ? Mai nahi bata raha.

Jis din samne se puchogi mai bataunga."

Shree folded his arms across his chest acting tough.

"Oh tum mujhe wese bhi thik nahi lag rahe ho, toh maine jo weekend me hum dono ki date plan ki hai vo cancel kar dun.?"

Liza narrowed her gaze playfully, when Sakshi nudged Riya amused and Shree smiled widely.

"Kya? Ye tumhe pehle batana chahiye tha na.

Mai bilkul thik hun koi plan cancel karne ki jarurat nahi hai.

Ye chot kya ...kuch nahi hai."

"Achha abhi thik ho gaye tum.?"

Riya teased.

"Haan haan thik kaise nahi hoga date pe jo jaana hai sir ko."

Sakshi added , and the girls laughed at Shree's shyness.

"Thik hai toh baaki ke jo reports hain mai kal tak bhej dungi."

Liza said forwarding the post mortem reports to them.

"Thank you liza."

"Bye. Milte hain weekend pe."

"Bye."

The trio were about to leave, when Liza pulled back Sakshi letting the other two walk out of the lab.

"Kya hua.?"

Sakshi questioned.

"Arey kuch baat karni thi.

Mai kya keh rahi hun Mumbai me ek bahut acha rooftop café khula hai, wahan coffee ke sath sath chai bhi milti hai.

Mai aur Specky toh weekend pe wahan jaane wale hain , per tum Arjun sir ko leke kabhi bhi wahan jaa sakti ho.

Kaam ka bahana bana dena aur sir ka favourite chai bhi hai wahan toh upar aasman me sitare aur niche fairy lights ke bich me tum aur Arjun sir. Kaisa laga mera idea.?"

Liza asked excitedly.

"Uh idea toh achha hai...per..."

Sakshi hesitated a little fidgeting with her fingers.

"Kya dhund rahe ho.?"

Riya asked Shree, noticing him roaming hands all over his pant shirt and jacket.

"Chabi . Kahin gira diya maine ya phir andar reh gaya."

Shree answered.

"Tum yahan dhundo mai andar dekh ke aati hun."

Riya said quickly and went back inside.

"Per var chhodo achha chance hai Arjun sir ko impress karne ka."

Liza said ,whereas Riya's feet stopped near the door at the mention of Arjun's name.

"Liza tumhara kehna thik hai , per mai soch rahi thi ki..mai ab aur Arjun ko impress karne ki koshish nahi karungi."

Sakshi murmured forcing a smile on her face, much to Liza's surprise.

"Kya ? Nahi karogi matlab? Itna jaldi give up kar diya apne crush pe.?"

"Liza tumhe sayad pata nahi hai per Riya bhi Arjun ko like karti hai."

"Kya.? Riya ? Kabse.?"

"Kabse exactly mujhe nahi pata. Per mujhe lagta hai mere aane se pehle hi.

Aur jitna maine dekha hai mujhe ye bhi lagta hai ki Riya mujhse zyada Arjun ko like karti hai.

Issliye mai soch rahi thi ki isse pehle ki hum dono me Arjun ko leke koi misunderstanding ho mai hi pichhe hatt jaaungi."

Sakshi sighed.

"Oh. Mujhe kisine bataya nahi iss bare me . Specky ne bhi nahi."

Liza murmured confused.

"Shree ne meri wajah se bataya nahi hoga. Achha chhodo ye discussion hum yahin khatam karte hain,vo dono bahar wait kar rahe honge mai washroom jaake jaldi se aati hun."

Sakshi walked away towards the washroom ,and Liza sighed behind her processing the newly found information.

Riya straightened herself pushing the door open and walked in pretending to be normal.

"Arey Riya ? Kya hua? Sakshi washroom gayi hai."

Liza informed her assuming she came back for her.

"Achha. Aur Shree yahan car ki keys chhod ke gaya hai kya.?"

"Car keys.?"

Liza asked roaming her eyes around until her gaze fell on the key on the table.

"ye raha."

"Ah finally mil gaya. Sakshi ko bolna hum bahar hain."

"Okay. Bye."

"Bye."

Riya walked out clutching the car key in her hand ,but the smile from her face fell off.

*Flashback Ends*

Riya released a deep breath , mentally cursing herself for not able to see things properly from the very starting and wondered if Sakshi was being too hard on herself to let go of her crush on Arjun.

Suddenly everything started making sense to her.. Sakshi's confusion regarding a friend's feelings ,her questions, concern everything fell into its place that made her wonder how come she failed to see the obvious.

Sighing she eyed the road to see if the cab was there and noticed a guy dressed in all black with a cap on head getting off a car and went inside the building.

Ignoring him Riya checked her phone to see if the cab was there yet ,then looked back at the road and noticed another guy with the same black look as the first guy getting off the same car and followed the first one inside the hospital.

Confused she stared at the way they went in ,since from their look and walk they didn't look like they had any business in the hospital.

The next moment Chhotu's words came ringing in her mind and assuming Rathore could be in any danger she ran inside without any delay and took the stairs after finding the lift engaged.

Looking through the first three floors she couldn't trace the two men then climbed the fourth floor ,dialing Rathore's number on the way.

"Haan Riya.?"

Rathore answered the phone in two rings.

"Sir 2 log black outfits me hospital me aaye hain , caps pehen rakha hai unhone. Sayad aapke room ki taraf jaa sakte hain toh aap alert rahiye."

"Tum kahan ho abhi.?"

Rathore asked her.

"Mai fourth floor hi arahi hun sir."

Riya said disconnecting the call , thus Rathore pulled out his gun from under the pillow and walked out of his room.

"Sir aap kahan jaa rahe hain.?"

Ajay stood up from the chair outside Rathore's room and noticed the gun in his hand.

"2 suspect yahan ghuse hain, jao dekho kahan hain."

Rathore ordered him.

"Per sir aapko chhod ke kaise....."

"jao it's an order."

Rathore said firmly and Ajay nodded running towards the corridor.

There Riya was checking through rooms on her way in the corridor when she heard a woman's scream followed by the two guys rushed out of a room in front of her and kicked the woman harshly before running away with a bag.

Riya ran behind them quickly grabbing one guy from behind who in a swift charged towards her with a knife that touched her elbow and she kicked him in stomach running behind the other guy that had the bag.

The second guy hurled the bag towards her which she caught and threw it back at him making him lose his balance from behind , hence she held his one hand twisting it and pinned him to the floor hearing the guy wincing in pain.

The first guy came from her behind to attack her again but stopped as soon as a gun was pointed at him and Riya looked up to find Rathore standing there giving a death stare to the guy.

"Kaun ho tum.?"

Rathore asked, and the guy started running backwards but stopped as Ajay came from the other end pointing a gun at him as well.

"Sir ye dono ek room se ye bag leke bhaag rahe the."

Riya pointed at the bag laying on the floor and got up grabbing the guy along.

"Kya hai iss bag me.?"

Rathore asked eyeing the two guys then went ahead unzipping the bag only to find cash in there.

"Mera bag."

The woman came running crying ,and knelt down grabbing her bag.

"Kya ye aapka bag hai.?"

Rathore questioned.

"Sir inhi ke room se ye dono bag leke bhaage the."

Riya informed him.

"JI sir ye mera hi bag hai."

The woman answered.

"Toh itna sara cash.?"

Rathore eyed her suspiciously.

"Sir ye mai aaj zameen bech ke aayi uske paise hain, raaste me arahi thi aur car ka accident ho gaya. Issliye mai hospital aayi thi."

The woman said wiping away her tears.

"Aur tum dono ye paise churane aaye the.?"

Riya asked looking in between two guys who stood hanging their head low.

"Iska cap hatao Ajay."

Rathore asked and Ajay obeyed him quickly uncapping the guy beside him.

"Sunil.?"

The woman stood up in surprise looking at the guy.

"Aap isse jaanti hain.?"

Ajay asked her.

"Haan ye mere bete Aaryan ka friend hai."

The woman answered thus Rathore went ahead uncapping the other guy and watched the woman gasping in shock.

"Aaryan? Tum.. Tumne ye sab kiya.?"

"ye aapka beta hai.?"

Riya asked in a surprise tone , to which the woman nodded in silence falling short of words.

"Apni hi maa ko lootne chale the tum .?"

Rathore gave him a skeptical look, while the two guys remained silent and Rathore spoke again.

"Riya, police ko phone karo."

"Yes sir."

Riya pulled her phone out of her pocket dialing a number, while the woman grabbed the guy's collar slapping him.

"Tumne mujhe dhakka mara ? Apni maa ke sath aesa karne me sharam nahi aayi.?"

Rathore kept mum then his gaze fell on Ajay trying to call someone from his phone.

"Tum kisse phone kar rahe ho.?"

"Arjun sir ko."

"NAHI."

Both Rathore and Riya said in unison then looked at each other before looking back at Ajay who gave them a puzzled look.

"Rawte ko phone mat karo."

Rathore spoke first.

"per sir Arjun sir ne kaha hai kuch bhi ho toh unhe report karne ke liye."

Ajay mumbled.

"Aur mai keh raha hun ye report karne ki jarurat nahi hai. Abhi police aayegi aur inn dono ko le jaayegi toh Rawte ko ye baat koi nahi batayega."

Rathore commanded looking back at Riya, who nodded her head.

"Mai bhi yahi kehne wali thi ki sir ko batane ki jarurat nahi hai."

Riya murmured faintly.

"Oh okay sir."

Ajay reluctantly nodded and Rathore turned to Riya.

"Riya good job. Aur tum mere liye wapas aayi uske liye thanks."

"Sir it's okay."

She smiled.

"Chalo apna hath bandage karwa lo,phir ghar chali jaana."

"Ji sir."

She nodded pressing her palm on the cut on her elbow and walked away followed by Rathore while Ajay stayed till the arrival of the police.

The next morning Arjun went to talk to Tanya's father and by the time he came back to bureau everyone else was present in the conference room chit chatting among themselves regarding the information they had obtained about the case.

"Good morning sir."

"Good morning sir."

"Good morning Arjun."

All greeted him as he took his usual seat ,while Riya resumed arranging the pile of papers carrying call records, photos ,and other details neatly on the table ,passing them to each and every one including Arjun.

As she kept extending her hand to pass the papers to Shree, Chhotu, Ayesha respectively , the sleeve of her shirt lifted a little and Arjun who was gazing at the table aimlessly noticed the bandage on her elbow then moved his eyes up to her face slowly.

"Arjun tumhari chai."

Sakshi forwarded the glass to him, meanwhile Riya after being done with her work sat down on the chair quietly.

"Sir kamla sahi keh rahi thi Mamta ji ne kuch din pehle apne bete se baat ki thi. Vo bhi ek baar nahi 5 baar."

Shree started the discussion.

"Aur ye bhi sach hai ki Mamta ji ne ape bete pe case bhi kiya tha."

Chhotu added.

"Tanya ke pita Ravindra Nath ek jamane me juye aur nashe ki adat me dhut the ,aur vo apni biwi yaani Tanya ki maa ko maarte pitte the. Ravindra Nath ke paas apne purkho se mili jameen zaydad thi aur issliye vo zyadatar paise apni aiyashi me lagate the.

Jab vo nashe me apne parivaar walon ko zyada tang karne lage tab unse tang aake unki maa ne unpe case kar diya, aur baad me Tanya ki maa ne unhe divorce deke yahan apni beti, aur Mamta ji ke sath agayin thi.

Tabse Ravindra Nath ne ln logon se milne ki koshish bhi ki thi per court ke order ke chalte vo aesa kar nahi paaye. Aur itne saalo me unhone phir inse milne ki koshish nahi ki.

Zaydad me jitna Mamta ji ke naam pe the unhone sab kuch Tanya ke naam pe kar rakha hai, per kuch zameen Ravindra Nath ke naam pe bhi tha. Ab Ravindra Nath ke paas bhi kaafi paise hain unka jaana maana transport ka business hai."

Riya explained in a go.

"Iske alawa case se jude baaki logon ka background clear hai."

Ayesha added.

"toh itne saalo me Ravindra Nath ne apni maa ko phone kyun kiya hoga.?"

Sakshi asked.

"Tanya se milne."

Arjun answered, grabbing everyone's attention.

"Mai jab subah unse mila toh unka kehna hai itne saalo ke baad vo ek baar apni beti se milna chahte the issliye Mamta ji ko contact kiya tha,per Mamta ji ne saaf mana kar diya tha.

Vo sayad unhe manane ki koshis kar raha tha per Mamta ji maani nahi."

"toh kya sir vo cash aur gold ke baare me unhe kuch pata hai.?"

Ayesha asked curiously.

"Nahi. Unke hisab se unhe pata bhi nahi tha unki maa aur beti kahan rehte hain , aese me unke ghar se kya mila isse unka koi lena dena nahi hai."

Came Arjun's quick answer.

"Kamal hai kisika itna sara cash jewelry aese hi ghar me pada tha aur kisiko pata hi nahi hai kiska hai."

Chhotu wondered.

"Agar ghar me Tanya ko bina bataye itna cash rakha hua tha toh ho sakta hai aur bhi cash ya jewelry ho? "

Riya murmured.

"Per iss case me suspect kaun hai? Kisiko kuch pata hi nahi hai."

Shree sighed.

"Suspect hai Shree."

Arjun announced putting his phone on the table for everyone to see.

Arjun pointed at his phone screen.

"Ye toh....."

Ayesha trailed.

"Tanya jaisi lag rahi hai."

Riya completed her sentence.

"Thoda thoda, clear dikh nahi raha shawl ki wajah se."

Sakshi added.

"Per Tanya toh keh rahi thi itne saalo me vo apne papa se mili bhi nahi hai."

Shree pointed out.

"Per yahan unke ghar pe jaate huye dikh rahi hai. Tanya jhuth bol rahi hai.?"

Chhotu raised his brows.

"ye ab Tanya batayegi. Pure ghar ko phirse search karte hain ,aur uske sath Tanya se puch tach."

Arjun said and everyone nodded in agreement.

As they walked out of the bureau to leave for Tanya's house ,Shree went near Riya nudging her a little.

"Ri kya chal raha hai tumhara kal se ? Arjun sir ko avoid kar rahi ho.?"

"HUh? Nahi toh. Mai kyun avoid karungi."

She lied looking ahead.

"Ri kal se dikh raha hai sab kuch, jabse maine tumhe Sakshi ke baare me bataya uske baad se hi tum Arjun sir ko avoid kar rahi ho.

Ab Sakshi Arjun sir ko like karti hai, isme Arjun sir ki kya galti ? Ya phir tumhe lagta hai ki tum agar unhe avoid karogi toh vo Sakshi ki taraf ho jayenge.?"

Shree murmured in a low voice only audible to her.

"Aesa nahi hai Shree. Tum zyada soch rahe ho."

"Achha ? Thik hai toh ek kaam karna tum abhi sir ke sath aage baith jaana car me."

"Kyun ? Nahi . Mai pichhe baith rahi hun."

She replied quickly and fastened her footsteps towards the car to get the back seat first , just when she heard Arjun's voice.

"Riya."

She angled her head to the side then looked down to see for what he had stretched his hand towards her only to find it was the car key.

In a reflex she stretched her hand without a word and Arjun dropped the car key on her palm walking ahead getting inside the car taking the passenger seat.

She eyed the car key on her palm, then the car, then looked back at Shree who had put his fist over his mouth to suppress his laugh.

Sighing she took the driver seat securing the seat belt avoiding looking at Arjun, while he tore his gaze from the front to her for a moment before asking.

"Hath ko kya hua.?"

Riya whipped her head to him at his question and found him staring at her hand then at her, that made her wonder how come he noticed the bandage under the sleeve.

"Um kuch nahi bas thoda lag gaya tha sir."

She mumbled quickly pulling her sleeve further down, since her friends started getting inside the car one after another.

Arjun looked back ahead without another word, whereas Riya bit her bottom lip suddenly feeling nervous beside him.
