The sun rays hit Arjun's eyes... he slowly was about to rub his eyes when he felt his hand was stuck...
Arjun opened his eyes and too see Muski sleeping with her mouth wide open and her little feet curled around Arjun's hand as if it was a pillow... her little hands were hugging his hand tightly...
Arjun was ecstatic by this feeling... especially when he felt her little puffs of breath on his hand... he couldn't stop himself from planting a small kiss on her forehead...
A sudden urge of a father inside him woke up... his paternal instincts were pounding in him... he gently freed his hand from Muski...
Then smiling he walked to the balcony... it was first time in years had the house seen him smile so many times...
Arjun called up Ayesha "Haan Ayesha... Sakshi kaisi hai? Kuch ghante main hosh aa jayega? Ok fine... haan Muskaan araam se so rahi hai... bohot hi achchi bachchi hai... acha Shree office pohoch gaya.. ya I had to speak to him... tell him to call me ASAP... and yup I would directly go to the hospital... Muskaan... maybe she'll come with me.. Bye" Arjun cut the call...
"Hmm... ab yeh kya khaana khayegi.." he muttered.. looking at Muskaan donning a Ninja Position...
When Shree called up.. "Sir... maine saare ETF employees ki history check kiya..none of them have a child named Muskaan... I'll start checking with the people we saved sir.. shayad waha se koi... aur haan... uss building ki office se bhi I'll check ki kaunse kaunse flats jal gaye... waha se toh kisi ek ka toh hoga... aur sir.. Sakshi bhi waha rehti hai na... aur woh jitni jovial hai... pakka she will know Muskaan... when she is fine ek baar unse bhi poochlo..." Shree answered...
"Hm... thanks Shree.. good job..." Arjun cut the call to find Muskaan stir in her sleep...
She got up from her little siesta and sat on the bed... her ponies were in a total mess... her eyes were puffy.. she took her little hands and rubbed her eyes... "Mammu..." she called out...
On receiving no reply she pouted... rubbing her tiny palms on her eyes again she tried to recollect where she was...
Arjun leaned on the balcony railing and watched in sheer amusement as to what his little busybody does... he was surprised to see that she had woken up at sharp 7.00 am...
As she was in the centre of the huge bed she looked totally lost... her frock was sitting like flower petals around her... she slowly crawled up on the bed and stood up... she walked here and there on the mattress... thinking something and straightening her frock... then she plopped herself on the bed to sleep again...
"Aljun uncleee" she called Arjun from the top of her squeaky voice...
Arjun came in front of her... "Kya hua Muskaan?" he asked patting her head... she sat up straight and spoke... "Woh... oooh.. (yawn) gudu molnin..." she yawned and wished him...
Arjun smiled again.. shaking his head... "Good morning Princess par ab utna padega na..." he said...
Muski closed her eyes and nodded... "tolet kaha hai?" she asked cutely...
"Tolet?.. Toilet... idhar chalo..." Arjun said and Muskaan nodded...
She slowly got off the bed and stumbled here and there... Arjun smiled and picked her up... her tiny arms went around his neck and she semi dozed off on his shoulder...
"Muskaan... yeh lo bathroom.." Arjun gently shook Muskaan... "Hmm" Muskan opened her eyes and nodded...
She walked in but then problem no. 1
The basin was tooo high... she saw that Arjun had disappeared to make a cup of tea for himself...
He saw as a little angry Muskaan hobbled up to him... "Tumne blush kiya?"
"Tum jab waapas avoge bathroom se phir main javunga..." Arjun said...
Muskaan said "Uncle... ek glash walm watel milega?"
Arjun handed her a glass of water... "Par tumne brush kar liya?"
She nodded negative.. she held the big glass in her hands and slowly sipped the water...
"Mumma kehti hai ki shuba shuba ek glash pani - thola walm peena chahiye bina blush kiye... it ish gud fol health... woh na muh main gud bactelia hota hai na... chalo tum piyo... aishe kya dekh lahi ho... piyo.. alley piyo na..." Muskaan urged Arjun...
Arjun just stared at this girl... at the age of five he remembered being a nuisance to his mom... and here she was talking about the benefits of warm water!
Muskaan's big cute eyes glared at him and he quickly sipped a warm water...
"Lo done meri maa... ab batao kyun aayi thi?" Arjun asked... keeping his chai aside...
"Woh bohot ucha hai... main blush kaise kalun?" she asked putting her stubby finger on her head!
Arjun walked with her to the washroom... hehe... that is true... "idea... main tumhe god main le loon toh tum brush kaarpavogi na?" he asked...
"Hmm..." she said...
Arjun gave her a little brush that he bought yesterday... he had been very thoughtful about Muskaan... the small little things that he knew she would want..
He picked her in his arms and kept her on the rim of the basin... she slowly brushed her teeth while Arjun kept the loose tendrils of her hair away...
The problem came while collecting the water to wash her face... the water always trickle down her little hands... she pouted as she couldn't throw out the paste in her mouth...
Arjun scooped some water in his hands and kept it near her little mouth... she slurped it and threw it out... then she washed her face and rubbed her face with the towel... Arjun then set the bucket ready with warm water... in the meantime he quickly brushed...
"Muskaan... tumhari kapde yaha bed pe hain... maine khareeda hai ok?" Arjun smiled...
"Alley... ishki kya zalooli thi uncle!" Muskaan said cutely and asked Arjun to lower his head... she gave a sloppy kiss on his cheek and went to the shower happily...
After five minutes she came... wearing the pretty pink color frock...
"Thaaank you Uncleee!!!" She came running into his arms... she twirled around happily... the house was filled with her squeals and laughter...
"Acha uncle tum kya pehen lahe ho?" Muskaan ask...
"Umm... jo bhi shirt haath main aaye..." Arjun answered...
"Aaj main choosh kalun?" She asked..
"Hmm... okay!" Arjun smiled and carried her in his arms...
By now it was the 6th shirt that was rejected... "Haan! Yeh shahi hai... white shilt aul ishke shaat woh bulu pant..." Muskaan said excitedly...
"Bulu! You mean blue!" Arjun burst out laughing... "Kya hua uncle?" Muskaan asked innocently...
"Kuch nahi Princess!" He laughed and went to the shower...
They reached the hospital.. Muskaan was in his arms talking about every random thing in the world.. and sometimes he would tickle her and she would giggle and gently slap Arjun...
Chotu got a heart attack seeing Arjun... he was smiling!
"Jamaila! Ayesha re... main pray karta hoon ki yeh All India Radio kahi se Arjun sir ki beti ban jaye... itna khush mood hai uska!" Chotu suggested.
"Shut up Chotu!" Ayesh said and went forward to Muskaan... "Oh maa! Aap toh bilkul princess lag rahi ho!" Ayesha fondly patted her chubby cheeks...
Muskaan blushed and said a soft thank you... "Arrey All India Radio! Tu sharmaati bhi hai... aai shapat bohot pyaari lag rahi hai!" Chotu teased her further...
Arjun was amazed to see this sweet side of Muskaan... first time he saw someone having difficulty in accepting praises... her cheeks had turn red and then she looked at Arjun and turned her face and hugged him tightly!
"Acha guys... iss Mini Miss. Universe ko tareef baad main dena... jo kaam diya tha ho gaya?" Arjun asked...
"Sir... I really don't know ki iss bachchi se related kaunsa insaan hai jo humare baare main sab kuch jaanta hai!" Ayesha informed..
Arjun nodded... "Aur Sakshi ab kaisi hai?" he asked...
"Sir... subah hosh aaya tha... but for few minutes.. kuch der main waapas hosh aa sakta hai..." Chotu informed...
"Okay... but Liza kaha hai?" Arjun asked...
"Woh kya hai na... Shree office main hai na.. toh Liza yaha kaise aa sakti hai?" Chotu almost controlled his laughter!
Arjun rolled his eyes when suddenly Muskaan clutched her stomach... and pouted...
Arjun immediately patted her back... "Muskaan... bhook lagi hai?" Muskaan nodded...
"Main canteen main jaa raha hoon... usse khila doon phir main waapas yaha ajavunga... ok?" Arjun said to a shocked Ayesha and Chotu...
Arjun sat on the chair and fed her a dosa... she laughed and played with Arjun's aviators... she perched them on her nose... Arjun started laughing seeing the big glasses on her tiny round face...
"Yeh has sakta hai.." Chotu said shocked...
"Of course Chotu... bas shayad aaj tak wajah nahi mila hasne ke liye..." Ayesha smiled...
"Miss. Kapoor... Sakshi ko hosh aa chuka hai...and don't worry.. bohot strong ladki hai..." The doctor informed...
"Thanks..." Ayesha smiled...
"Arjun sir... Sakshi ko hosh aa chuka hai..." Ayesha informed the minute he came back..
"Acha... that's good news... tum ek minute ke liye Muskaan ko handle karo... main umm..." Arjun nodded and went inside the room...
"Shakshi! Chotu dosht... aapke dosht ka naam Shakshi hai!" Muskaan asked excitedly...
"Haan kyun..." Chotu said..
"Kyunki meli mumma ke paas bhi same name hai!" Muskaan smiled...

"Toh Specky maan ja na ki tujhse koi kaam nahi hota!" Liza taunted...
"Shut up Liza.. pata nahi itna mushkil kyun ho raha hai...ha thank God... mil gaya file of the tenants..." Shree smiled...
"Oh cool... let's see yeh cuto muto baby ka mumma kaun..." Liza's voice trailed off... as she read of the names of the tenants of 503 -

The doctor met Arjun... "Mr. Rawte... she's fine... I must admit... bohot brave ladki hai... waise is there anyone called Musi out here... kyunki jabse hosh main aa rahi hai.. ussi ke naam le rahi hai..." she informed...
"Nahi toh... shayad uski parivaar ka koi hoga...bas ek minute I shall now go and visit Sakshi... baaki baat baad main..." Arjun said...
The doctor nodded...
Arjun entered and saw Sakshi lying on the bed... dark circles adorned her eyes... blood bottles and saline went through... the minute her eyes met with his... a small smile crept up her face...
"Ar.." she started to find Arjun shush her... "Kaisi ho Sakshi..."
She nodded her head... but she was tensed for Muski... it had been a long time... if she had died what would have happened to her baby...
Small tears started forming and Arjun wiped them off... she was startled by his gentle touch... "Tum theek ho?" she asked softly...
"Agar nahi hota toh next waale bed main hota right?" Arjun smirked...
Sakshi shook her head... had he not saved her then... she would have died... and her baby... her jaan... and she found tears falling down helplessly...
"Sakshi... ro mat... you are fine..." Arjun said..
And suddenly Sakshi clutched his hand... he leaned forward towards her and she wrapped her unhurt arm around him tightly.. grateful... "T... thank you A..Arjun for saving me.. agar... mm.." she found Arjun intently looking at her orbs... a nameless feeling shot up his spine... he closed his eyes and hugged her tight...
And the handle of the bed was accidentally pressed and the bed jerked up...
And the biggest mistake was that Sakshi looked up...
And he was looking at her too... and when the bed jerked up they came closer and
his lips brushed against hers...
Arjun closed his eyes for a fraction of second as he felt the soft flesh beneath his lips... but then he stepped back as if he got an electric shock... Sakshi became red and tried to find the button..but as she turned her shoulder and stomach burned in pain... "Oh God..." she cursed...
"Kya hua?" Arjun asked concerned...
"Woh.. woh.. bed..." Sakshi bit her lip in pain...
"Wait Sakshi... umm... I'll help... aur tumhe bachana mera duty tha..." Arjun mumbled... he didn't know why but his heart had started picking upon a pace since their lips brushed by... he looked at Sakshi's red face and he scratched his head...
"Hmm... I know it was your duty ACP sahab... but chalo... at least mujhe bachana toh duty laga aapko!" Sakshi chuckled and then rested her head back...
"Miss. Sakshi Anand... goli lagi hai... stabbed bhi ho... but it does nothing to your humor right! Relax karo..." Arjun said and turned to the other side... smirking slightly...
"Nope... waise crisp white shirt aur blue denims... not bad ACP... style improve ho raha hai!" She smiled weakly but her smile faded quickly... Arjun smiled as he recalled Muskaan selecting the shirt for him...
"What happened Sakshi... tum kuch batana chahte ho?" Arjun asked...
"Haan... woh... see if anything happens to me... ek person hai who needs your help..." she bit her lips...
"Bolo Sakshi..." he said...
When suddenly the door opened.. he saw Ayesha and Chotu stand with their faces in pure shock...
"Ss.. sir.." Ayesha stammered...
"Kya hua?" Arjun asked...
And then from between them his little princess came towards him... "Muskaan?" he asked...
And he was astonished to see her run towards him...
Muskaan ran towards the bed and got up on it...
"Muski..." Sakshi said softly... letting her tears flow...
Muskaan gently hugged Sakshi and kissed her cheeks...
"Ye tumhari..." Arjun asked...
"Aljun Uncle... yeh hai meli mumma..." Muskaan smiled...
His eyes widened in shock...
Muskaan's mother was... Sakshi!
