Sakshi stood rooted to her spot...

Rathore received a call and leaved...

They had a case so she couldn't speak to Arjun at all...

Exhausted Sakshi picked up Muski and went back home...

Changing into a maxi and putting Muski into her night wear she picked up Muski and kept her on the kitchen slab while Sakshi started kneading the dough...

"Toh my baby.. how was day one?" Sakshi asked...

Muski pouted and rested her chin on her tiny hands...

"Umm" she answered...

"Muski meri bachchi... ki hoya?" Sakshi asked tensed...

"Mumma aap mujhshe pyaal nahi kalte na..." Muski asked... potuing her lips further... setting the phulkas on the stove and putting them in the casserole Sakshi immediately went to her baby...

"Kya? Yeh behuda baatein kaha se? Mumma loves you so much!" Sakshi hugged her daughter tight...

Muski mumbled against her heart "Agal pyaal kalti ho tuh chol ke kyun chalegaye... meine bohot mish kiya... main waha akeli hoon!" Muski started to sob...

Sakshi understood - homesickness... the common problem for kindergarten babies...

"Maine kaha choda.. jab main office main kaam kalti.. karti hoon... tab tum mere liye school main kaam karti ho... you are my big and responsible baby!" saying Sakshi planted a kiss on Muski's soft cheek...

"Leally! Mumma... tumhe dhel saala kaam hai na?" Muski asked while fiddling with Sakshi's chain...

"Yup baby... aur main dur nahi rehti.. saamne jof bada kar ke ETF building likha hai na... waha main kaam karti hoon..." Sakshi smiled and wiped away Muski's tears...

"Oh.. kaam na... then fine.. main shkool main theek hoon.. meli mumma paash main hai... toh kuch din main I will be fine..." Muski smiled...

Sakshi laughed and got the ingredients for making her speciality - palak paneer... cutting the paneer cubes Sakshi asked "Musu.."

"Hmm?" she replied while trying to cut the leaves of the remaining palak leaves - she has to help her mother...

Boiling the leaves in one pan and keeping the lid and getting the cream dabba from the fridge she asked "Pehle school bura ab achanak se I will be fine - kaise?"

Cooling the leaves Sakshi blended them with garlic in the mixer blender... "Musu... maine kuch poocha - jawaab do..."

"Woh maa... waishe bhi tumhe bohot kaam hai... agal youl big baby cliesh toh mol tenshion na... tum hi to sab kuch kalti ho... Musu toh apni Mamoo ke liye itna kal shakti hai.." Muski completed with a big smile...

Sakshi added the spices, tomatoes and the palak puree... she was silent... adding the cream and towards the end the paneer... she waited for the broth to get ready...

"Maa... chup kyun ho?" Muski asked worried..

Sakshi turned to her daughter and hugged her tightly... endless tears flowing from her eyes... she was blessed to have her daughter... many a times she felt her mother was there in her baby...

"Mamoo... mat lo... main hoon na.. esh aal kay (SRK) uncle ki talha" Muski smiled...

"Nahi babu main nahi ro rahi hoon..." Sakshi said and wiped her tears away...

Muski pointed out to the wetness on her little head and on Sakshi's maxi and raised her eyebrows on that...

"Acha baby.. fine.. chalo ab khana khate hai!" Sakshi smiled and placed the mouth watering curry in a bowl and sat on the mattress... Muski placed the newspapers on the mattress...

Since they hadn't bought plates Sakshi fed Muski straight from her hand...

she was a gifted child... she barely fussed while eating... at times she too fed Sakshi with her tiny hand... carrying a small piece of roti and a dip of the curry... for Sakshi that used to be the most tasty morsel...

After cleaning up and brushing her teeth... Sakshi laid Muski on the mattress and patted her gently into sleep... while Sakshi recounted stories of her day... describing each and every personality...

That's when Arjun called... Muski's eyes immediately flew open and looked at Sakshi while she spoke to Arjun...

"Fine Arjun I'll reach there directly to the spot... goodnight." Saying Sakshi cut the call...

"Umm Musu..." Sakshi said and Muski immediately snuggled into Sakshi in the pretense of having slept already...

"Mumma..." Muski said while snuggling near where she belonged for Sakshi - near her heart...

"Musu... go to sleep...koi baatein nahi..." Sakshi said and wound her arm around Muski...

"Plish mumma.. ek baat plish.." Muski asked with so much of cuteness that Sakshi couldn't refuse...

"Bolti hoon.. Arjun woh hi uncle hai - Mr. Brave... saare ache kaam karte hai aur burre logon ko punch karte hai!" Sakshi answered...

"Tumhe kaise pata main Aljun uncle ke baale main poochungi?" Muski asked...

"Musu - rishte main toh hum tumhare maa bante hai!" Sakshi laughed while Musu flunged her small arm across Sakshi "Gunnu nightu mamoo."

"Hmm.. Gunnu night..." Sakshi replied and slowly Muski drifted to sleep... while Sakshi too just kissed her forehead and cuddled her baby and let sleep take over...

Next Day

Sakshi woke up with the alarm ringing... Muski was as usual in her trapeze position... only that it was around Sakshi.. somehow every night Muski would twist herself around Sakshi!

Sakshi slowly kissed her baby's cheeks and lifted a sleeping Muski to the washroom...

Muski managed to get up and give a bright smile to Sakshi as her mouse like teeth were being brushed by Sakshi...

The early morning passed with Sakshi preparing Muski for school and tying her hair into two fountain ponies and giving her a small glass of milk and a healthy sandwich...

Packing her bag and kissing her goodbye Sakshi waved till a wary Muski slowly entered in her school...

Sakshi was aware of Muski being uncomfortable.. but she knew that she would be fine in a few days... still if something happens to her.. what will happen to Muski?

Shedding away all thought Sakshi walked to the office.. but was held up with a case... Like this two weeks passed before Sakshi could get an opportunity to speak to Arjun...

She immediately walked in Arjun's cabin...

"Arjun... tumne kuch hafte pehle kya kaha tha about blasts..." she said looking at him

"Sakshi... usse tumhara kaam se koi taaluk nahi..." Arjun murmured and went to the other file...

"Arjun.. nahi I am a part of he ETF... abhi abhi jo discuss kar rahe the... tum aur Sameer... attack.. tell me.." Sakshi said with desperation...

Arjun just looked at her frantic eyes... he found desperation... helplessness... this was not there when he met her the last time... what had happened to her through the past years?

"Woh... Mumbai main kuch attacks hone waale hain..." Arjun muttered but looked at her face carefully... analyzing her movements...

"Kaha threat hai?" Sakshi asked... her fingers gripped around her knuckles...

Arjun just passes her the file and motions her to sit but she barely looks at him.. she furiously goes through the files... her suspicions are confirmed...

"Arjun yeh ussi ka kaam hai..." she says and sits on the couch in front... "Woh drug lord... he's back... par ab.." she is confused...

"Sakshi mujhe kuch samaj nahi aa raha hai..." Arjun said perplexed... Sakshi had sweat beads formed on her forehead...

Arjun passed her a glass of water... she gulped it down and then put the file before him... he came and sat next to her - he already had realized the gravity of situation...

"Arjun... ab meri baat dhyaan se suno, ok" she said in a grave manner... Arjun nodded... "koi prominent location nahi - sirf fish makets... especially jaha fish shipments hote hai.. there do we have the most number of threats right.." Arjun signaled her to continue...

"Arjun... are you aware of drugs are often inserted in the base of the fish's stomach.. which are then packed as fish orders and sent to various parts of the world - this is one of the most common and largest running drug smugglings through out the world..." she paused and hoped that Arjun caught the cue..

"Wait... I know that... aur target iss bar hai fish supplies... wait... matlab you are right - ek drug lord ki haath main hai yeh sab..." Arjun's eyes widened on realization...

"Exactly... aur woh hai.." Sakshi shuddered thinking about her past marred by him...

Arjun clasped her hand gently "Yeh ek naam kehne main itni jhijak kyun rahi hai? Lagta hai ki Sakshi knows more than what she is saying..." he contemplated looking at her confused look...

"It's Sikan..." Sakshi couldn't complete her sentence as Arjun clasped his palm over her mouth... his eyes wide in alarm...

"Mff.. uhmm..." Sakshi tried to speak up but Arjun had tightly gripped her... tugging her along to the corner.. Rathore and others walked away...

For Sakshi his feeling was hitting her... his tight - almost painful grip on her hand and his palm over her mouth... for some reason she felt the waves of intensity... but she strangely knew that this would protect her as well... she tried to open her mouth and lick his hand so as to he would take his hand off in disgust and she can speak... but his palm barely budged from it's place...

But what's the issue? Why was he behaving like this...

After sometime Arjun stopped looking outside and could feel her soft tongue hitting on his palm... ugh... he bent his head forward and went near her ear...

Sakshi's eyes popped out... something was amiss... she tried to control her haphazard thoughts and focus on what would happen next...

"Sakshi... ab tum meri baat dhyaan se sunno... ETF ki kisi bhi kone main... be it even washroom.. don't take his name... I would speak to you on that later... par war koi sawaal nahi - we never had this conversation..." Arjun whispered...

However for the ill luck of them, Chotu was walking near Arjun's cabin... where he saw that Arjun seemed to whisper sweet nothings in Sakshi's ear...

He immediately called Liza, Shree, and Ayesha...

All four of them were gaping at the scene in front...

Sakshi had noticed them and was violently trying to gesture "Mff.. uhmm mhff!!!"

Arjun got puzzled by her erratic behavior and moved back... his palm moistened generously by her soft l'il tongue...

"Team!" she gasped...

Arjun turned behind to see his entire team (except Rathore - phew for tht one!) staring at him and Sakshi as if they were aliens from Planet Z...

"Kya?" he barked at them...

"Sir... woh main.. main.. woh Liza.. you had died.. I mean dead body na... chol okhane (let's go there)" Shree said and ran to the lab with Liza following him in heels...

"Sir - main khaana bhul gaya..." Chotu walked off towards the washroom? (khaana in the toilet??)

"Ayesha - tumhare paas bhi koi behuda excuse hai?" Arjun looked irritably at her...

"Haan... matlab naa... woh main.. well sir I actually came to meet Rathore sir... humain abhi abhi khabar mili hai that Mumbai security ko red alert pe rakhne ke liye kaha gaya hai.. for the attack.. but then since you were busy..." Ayesha cleared her throat making Arjun and Sakshi even more embarrassed...

"Hmm got it.. actually Sakshi aur main woh hi discuss kar rahe the..." Arjun clarified..

"Sir - maine aapse poocha kaha?" Ayesha smirked and left...

The minute she left Arjun turned behind to see a fuming Sakshi

"Mr. Arjun Suryakant Rawte.. what were you thinking? EK baar woh baat seedhi seedhi chehre pe keh nahi sakte... main khud drug lord nahi hoon jo yeh aaltu faltu seducing style use kiya aapne! Log kya kahenge... Damn! What not they might think about my character!" she whined when Arjun added...

"It's only ETF members... woh log kuch zyaada nahi kahenge... they are good people.. aur haan mane koi "seducing" style use nahi kiya - I had to shut your mouth! Aur..." he again inched closer to her and she stepped back... he caught her arm and dragged her closer to him... "I will talk about a serious matter later... get that... aaj shaam ko I will drop you home... tab hum baat karenge.."

"Nahi - mujhe bohot saare kaam hai.. in fact idea - after ETF we go somewhere and tum batao jo batana hai..."she said weakly...

Arjun was surprised by her various energy levels.. whenever they spoke about the drug consignment she seemed dull... and sunken...

Strange...

"In fact.. let's go to the nearby beach - panipoori bhi mil jayega!" Sakshi said...

"I am not taking you for a date Sakshi!" Arjun said angrily at her crazy antics...

"I would never even go with you!" Sakshi sneered when Shree came back as a new case came on hand...

However behind the screen Shree had a heart attack.. he had heard bits of information which was more than enough to send him through lifetime shock...

"let's go to the nearby beach" Sakshi's voice

"I am taking you for a date Sakshi!" Arjun's voice

"I would go with you!" Sakshi's voice...

"Udi Baba Shree! Et ki! (what's this!) Tu college ki samay se Liza se kuch ho nahi raha aur yaha toh bahaaro phool barsao - mera mehboob aaya hai!" Shree shuddered and thought of discussing his suspicions with his gang soon enough...

"Kya bol raha hai Shree!" Chotu said while driving the car..

"Shree you are serious right?" Liza asked

"Exactly as Sakshi aur Arjun sir koi phatak aur aag se alag nahi hai!" Ayesha exclaimed...

"Arrey Ayesha and company... diwali hone ke liye phataka aur aag ki hi toh story hoti hai! Sun.. it went like this... mujhe lagta hai Arjun sir Sakshi ko date ke liye poocha... toh Sakshi ne khud destination decide kar li -woh beach yaar... then Arjun sir ki male ego pe solid hit hua - he reminded her ki asliyat main toh he is taking her for a date.. not vice versa aur phir Sakshi ne bhi kaha ki haan mujhe pata hai I would go for a date with you..." Shree explained with full cinematic descriptions...

Ayesha picked up a call "Haan Rathore sir... Delhi pohoch gaye... that's good... how was the flight... nice... haan hum log ek case ke silsile main bahar jaa rahe hai... ek drugs ka case - wohi teen aur drugs ka rishta... toh waha aapka hotel booking and everything... great... haan mom theek hai... papa ka bhi haalat main sudhaar aayi hai... ya I will take care... actually ek funny baat hai kehne... aap waapis aao.. main jald hi bata doongi... yes sir take care.. bye..." she kept the phone to see the 3 giving her suspicious look...

"Guys - ek case se related call tha..." Ayesha fumbled..

"Obviously - the curious case of Rathore sir and Ayesha!" Liza quipped...

"Shut up!" Ayesha flared..

"Ayesha tum sahi ho... itna case se related ki flight booking, hotels, family enquiry... taking care - sab toh wqayi case se related hai!" Chotu pitched in!

The whole journey continue in laughter...
