CHAPTER 4:

An hour ago-

All ETF members were sitting in the conference room with hand in head except Chotu. He had gone out to meet some informer. They were trying very hard to crack the case but no dice. Sameer and Arjun were very restless.

Shree: Sir aisa bhi to ho sakta hai ki usse waha ki kisi attendance ne mara ho? I mean ho sakta hai ussne kisike sath baddtamizi ki aur ussne Nitin ko mar dala ho.

Arjun flared up.

Arjun: Shree!! Bina koi proof ke aisi bahuda bate mere samne aur kabhi mat bolna.

Shree made a long face but said nothing.

Sameer: Arjun!! Shree ne sirf ek possibility batya hai. Kisipe bhi ungli nehi uthaya.

Liza: Yeh Arjun sir ko achanak kya ho gya? Shree dil chota mat karo. He didn't mean it.

Shree's eyes got wide open behind his specks. Did she just console him? But she was his jani dushman. He was about to think more while Chotu entered.

Chotu: Sir mujhe mere ek informer ne ek pakki lead diya hai. Woh Nitin roj ratko 9:30 pm ek night club mein jata tha. Spider's Bite. Waha ek admi se milta tha. Adha ghanta bat karke phir wapas aa jata tha.

Arjun looked at Sameer.

Arjun: Sam haame waha jana chahye.

Sameer nodded.

Sameer: You are right. But hame disguise mein jana hoga.

In 15 minutes they got ready and started for the club. They took only Chotu with them. While there Chotu showed them the guy Nitin used to talk with. They took him in one corner and started asking random question while Arjun's eyes fall on another figure. Wearing a red color mini skirt and tight black top she was looking like a little pixy. With her stood another guy. He recognized him as Prem. Hmm. Something is fishy.

Arjun (in a low voice): Sam tu yaha sambhal. Mujhe ek aur pakki lead mili.

Sameer followed his gaze and saw Sakshi standing with Prem.

Sameer: Sochna bhi mat.

In reply Arjun just grinned.

Arjun: Kal milte hai.

Chotu was watching Arjun with open mouth. He made a mental note to pass the hot and spicy news to his friends.

Sakshi gulped down her saliva. Prem also noticed Arjun.

Prem: Mar gya. Yeh yaha kya kar raha hai?

Arjun came closer and gave a round around Sakshi. He inspected her from head to toe and smirked.

Arjun: Yeh rate kya hai isski?

Sakshi (in mind): What!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Meri rate pooch raha hai? How dare he?

Prem (in mind): Hmm. Mouka accha hai. Jaise sare admi Sakshi ko dekh rahe hai maine usse yaha lakar galti kar dya. Khair. Dukhi mat hona Sakshi. Tujhe tere pyar ke pas hi de raha hoom. Pakka main adhe paise tere lye bachakar rakhunga..(voiced).. Teen hajar.

Now Sakshi turned to Prem. Did she heard right? Only three thousand? She was beautiful like Cleopatra and her rate is only three thousand. She didn't mind that he was going to hand her over to Arjun. I mean he was Arjun and her all time love and she will happily go with him. She trusted him with all her heart. But the thing that hurt her tender heart was her low rate. She pouted.

Arjun handed him the money and took Sakshi by her elbow. Sakshi being Sakshi happily obliged and went with him.

But nothing goes smoothly. A bulky man blocked their way.

Man: Oye sunn iss hasina ko mere hawale kar. Main tujhe dugna paisa dunga.

Sakshi started worrying. She quietly stood near Arjun and practically glued with him. Arjun sensed her feelings and snaked his hand around her waist.

Arjun: Main aapni cheez kisiko nehi deta. Aaj ratke lye yeh meri hai. Tu jakar kisi aur ko dhund le.

Man: Tu mujhse panga lega? Munna se panga lega?

Arjun frowned. He didn't want any kind of problem right now as Sameer and Chotu were busy with that man.

Arjun: Dekh tu jo koi bhi hai mujhe koi phadaq nehi padta. Aab ja yaha se.

They were about to move when Munna blocked his way again. Arjun once checked if Sameer and Chotu finished their work or not. But they were still busy with that man. So, he decided in mind.

Arjun: Thik hai. Bahar chal. Yaha bohot bheer hai.

Munna was going to hold Sakshi but Sakshi clunged to Arjun tightly. Arjun also tightened his grip on her.

Munna: Arre yeh to tere ko chodneka nam bhi nehi le raha. Lagta hai tu isse pasand aa gya.

Arjun: Rehne de kuch waqt ke lye mere pas.

Munna: Thik hai.

Once outside when Munna raise his hand to touch her but Arjun hold that hand tightly. This behavior made him puzzled. Arjun pushed Sakshi behind and twisted his hand. Munna screamed. Arjun punched him and then kicked him. Munna was not in state to get up. Arjun bend near him.

Arjun: Jo mera hai woh mera hai. Main usse kisiko hath bhi nehi lagane deta. Aab tu baat samjha ya samjhavuum?

Giving him a glare Arjun took Sakshi with him. He made her seat in the car and started the car. He sensed that Sakshi was still shivering so he tried to lighten the mood.

Arjun: Aaj subah kya keh rahi thi? Haan. Tum bohot sharf gharane se belong karti ho. Yeh halat hai?

Sakshi flared up. How dare he?

Sakshi: Dekho Mr. India main yaha ek reason se ayi hoom. Tum yuhi jo muh mein aye woh nehi bol sakte.

Arjun knew that she and Prem came there for some reason. And he was suspecting that they were also investigating the murder of Nitin but why? Why would a hotel manager and an attendance investigate a murder case? That's why Arjun was teasing her. To bring out the truth from her mouth.

Arjun: Aab maine jo dekha wohi batya. To iss hot avatar mein tum waha pani peene gyi thi?

Sakshi kept quite. Arjun gave her credit in mind. She was a clever girl. Understood his attempts. Another thing amazed him. She came with him without any protest. Not once she struggled. Moreover when Munna came to her she cling to him. He saw unfathomable trust in her eyes. Her eyes seemed so familiar. But he couldn't remember where he saw those pair of eyes.

Sakshi (in mind): Tumne mujhe nehi pehchana Arjun. Par I swear main tumhara pal pal ka khabar leti thi.

A voice fresh and alive as living flower rang into her ears.

"Tumhe pata hai main bada hoke police officer banna chahta hoom. Sab mujhe ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte kehke pukarenge"

She wondered if he still remembered her or forgot like any other unimportant memory.

After finishing interrogation Sameer and Chotu went back to ETF. All became amused not seeing Arjun with them. Sameer went back to his cabin while Chotu sat in the conference room with others.

Chotu: Kya batavuum yaar. Kya ladki thi!! Bilkul pathaka lag rahi thi. Are wohi attendance Sakshi. Arjun sir to usse dekhte hi flat ho gye. Aur uss ladki ko lekar chale gye.

Shree: Yeh tu kya keh raha hai? Arjun sir aur ladki? Woh bhi club mein?

Aisha: Koi na koi chakkar to jaror chal raha hai.

Liza: Aur aab yeh case haam solve karenge.

They all high five to each other. Unknown to them another pair of eye was observing them. After that he went back to his cabin and smiled.

Sameer: Abhi bhi sab bache hai. Rawte tu to gya.
