ARNI OS : FOREVER ALONE

Here comes the OS...I have not given any character sketch...

you people already know the characters and also along the story ull find the introduction to each...go ahead and its long so dont go to sleep while reading...

Note: The lines in italics are dialogues...

FOREVER ALONE (ARNI)

'Arjun,light off karo aur jaldi sone aao,dekho ye bhi nehi so rahi hai,',shouted an irritated roshni to arjun,

'Roshni,mujhe bohot kam hai,tum so jao na,aur jaan ko bhi sula do,'Arjun replied still working on his laptop

'Kaha soti hai ye tumhare bina?mein sulane jau to mujhe hi ghurti hai,jaise meine koi gunah kardi,dekho dekho kaise dekh rahi hai mujhe,'Roshni replied to arjun looking at the kid in her arms.


Parineeta aka pari aka jaan,is 4 months old daughter of Roshni and Arjun.She is her mom's pari and her daddy's jaan.She is equally sweet and naughty like her mom and ruthless and angry like her dad.For the last 4 months she has been the most important member of their family,specially pampered by her dad.

Arjun is the chief of the anti narcotics department.The best officer of his department known for his honesty,dedication towards his work,an super intelligent brain and his agressive and ruthless behaiviour towards crime and criminals.His anger has always cost him a lot in his professional and sometimes his personal life,but roshni being the perfect wife has always managed and taken care of all situations at his personal end.

Roshni loving wife of Arjun and the head of the arts department of an renouned arts university.After the birth of her child she had left the job but knowing her efficiency she gets called when ever there is any function,auction or a painting exibition.She is a normally calm natured always advicing arjun to tackle situation keeping his head cool but to her utter annoyance he could never keep to her word.He always lost his temper whenever he found something is going brutally wrong.

Arjun and Roshni had met through a common friend and then fallen in love.After 8 months of a love,hate relationship they had decided to get married.Arjun's parents had not approved of his marriage to a low standard school teacher and disowned him.Arjun had walked away from his house on the very moment with Roshni,never to look back.It has been 2 years since,they are married and now with a 4 months old daughter,he had never met his parents.

Their married life is a complete bliss all this two years.Though Roshni knew well that Arjun at times missed his home,his parents a lot but then she never asked him to get back coz she knew it would only drift him away from her,the only one he had with him now.And now the new member of the family has kept him engaged completely that he didnt have the time to remorse for his lost family.

'Common Arjun chalo na baba,pari nehi soyegi to mujhe bhi sone nehi degi,mein bohot tired hu,aur kal subah jaldi uthna bhi hai,art exibition hai na,plz chalo na baba..',roshni said,

'arre haan kal tum pari ko bhi to le ja rahi ho na??thik hai tum log jao mein 10 minute mein aya',arjun replied back,

The kid started crying by then and roshni took her in her arms patting her to sleep but she kept on crying.So Roshni sat next to Arjun on the sofa and kept pari on her lap patted her to sleep humming a smooth tune.The kid held Arjun's shirt tightly and Arjun too patted her on her hair.She slowly drifted to a deep sleep.Roshni took her to their room and laying her on the bed covered her with a blanket.She lied down beside her and swtiched off the light only keeping the bedlight on.Arjun came in after 15-20 minutes and lied down on the otherside..He kissed his jaan and lied down.

'Bohot important case hai kiya?kuch din se kafi pareshan ho?',Roshni asked in a whisper,

'haan.Roshni tumhe sikander yaad hai,wo wanted criminal,maine bataya tha?'

'haan per tumne bataya ki uske bare mein tum logo ke pas koi information nehi hai,kuch mila hai kiya?'

'Uska ek addmi hamare kabse mein hai aur uske sathe kuch tons durgs bhi.Aaj ek aur jaga ka pata chala hai,shayad uska adda ho,kal waha pe raid karna hai'

'Arjun,mujhe pata hai tumhe iski zaroorat nehi hai,plz apna dhyan rakhna,mujhe pata nehi kiyu bohot darr lag raha hai ye sab sunke'

'Roshni,tum darr jaogi to mein kaise kam karunga?kuch nehi hoga mujhe,trust me.Ab chalo so jao,kal subah jana hai na?'

They both drifted to sleep waiting for the next morning.

Next morning Roshni got up to find Arjun speaking on the phone and working on his laptop in the living room.She knew it was a very important case for him and didnt disturb.She came back to their room where small pari was sleeping peacefully.She set the room,got her clothes ready,switched on the geyser and went back to check on arjun.He had finished his call and was sitting quitely thinking.She sat by him and held his hand.Arjun looked at her and smiled.She was his best assurance that everything would be alright.She never needed any explanation.He held her in his arms and sat there quitely.She got up and asked him to check on pari while she goes to freshen up and ready their breakfast.

Arjun went and sat beside his jaan.She was smiling in her sleep.He kept his hand on her hair.She had given him immense joy and happiness.She slowly moved her hands at the top and held his finger.Arjun had a tear in his eyes.Nothing in this world could give him the peace and happiness that this cute little bundle of joy had given him.

'Tumhe jo karna hai,tum wahi karna,mein tumhe kabhi nehi rokunga,mein tumhare dada jaisa kabhi tumhe akela nehi charunga,'Arjun said to her and kissed her cheeks,and the tear drop rolled down to her forehead.

She got up from her sleep and looked at arjun and smiled.She was still in sleep but Arjun was her favourite too.She kicked her legs and tried to move towards him.Arjun picked her up in his arms and cuddled her.Pampering her with lots of kisses and sweet nothings,they started their morning.Roshni came out fresh and found the two smiling and talking to each other in their own sweet language.Arjun saw Roshni smiling and held his hand for her to come to him.They both held their daughter for sometime until roshni took her to get her ready to go to the exibition.After breakfast Arjun left Roshni and pari to the university and left for his office.

By afternoon everything was ready for the raid.Arjun and his team raided the place and confiscated a few tons of drugs,few consignments of illegal arms and a few men who were guarding there.A few more clues about the existence and involvement of sikander was found there.Arjun was happy with the achievement.He was sure he would surely get something which would lead him to sikander.After reaching back office he had called up roshni but she didnt pick up the phone.He thought she might be busy with the kids there and couldnot pick up and planned to call back later.

While at the other end the turn of events had shook up Sikander and he planned to get back his men and consignments.He very well knew about Arjun and his only weakness,his family.He attacked at the university and kidnapped all the principal,teachers,students stuff and guests there.The news about the kidnap blew into the city,to the police department and to the ministry within minutes.Home ministry called up the DIG and informed about the same.

DIG called up arjun and informed about the kidnap.Sikander had demanded to only speak to Arjun.Arjun had flared up hearing the news.But when he came to know of the location,he somehow broke down.He was broken,he was lost,he was somewhere feeling helpless,he knew Roshni and Jaan were there and sikander must have found about them by now.He picked up his gun and went towards the spot.

The multistoried building was covered with police,police cars and press.Men and women,had gathered around crying and howling,for their kids,their child.None one knew he was one of those men whose family was also inside but he was not allowed to shed a drop of tear.The people gathered around him and asked about their child.He was suffocating looking at them and their state.He moved away from their clutches and spoke with the office-in-charge,Inspecter Shetty.

Shetty informed him that sikander has said he would keep his demand only to Arjun and no one else.Arjun asked him to call them.The call got connected,gathering all strength he spoke up,

'kiya chahiye tumhe sikander?chor do un sabko,unno ne tumhara kuch nehi bigara'

'Sahi,kaha acp Rawte.Insab ne kuch nehi bigara,tumne bigara hai,aur tumhe pata haina,tumhari biwi aur beti bhi insab mein shamil hai,mein inhe kaise chor du batao,kaho to sab ko mar deta hu,zindagi se mukti mil jaigi,'

'Sikander,'arjun shouted,he was angry,but then one thought about roshni and jaan,he calmed himself down,'kiya chahte ho tum',

'chahata to bohot kuch hu,filhal ke liye,pathan tumhari custody mein hai use choro,un sari aadmi o ko bhi,aur mere sare consignments jo zabt kiye hai,aur mere yaha se nikal ne ka liye ek chopper,ye demands pura karo,fir mein apne next demand bataunga.Aur haan in sab ke liye tumhare pas sirf 2 hrs hainAur agar koi hoshiyari dikhai to tumhari beti aur biwi ke sath sab marenge,tum samjhe ya fir mein...'sikander said and started laughing.

Arjun disgusted ended the call.He knew just one thing,he had to save them at any cost.The DIG had arrived already and heard about the situation.Arjun asked for a plan of the building which he got in few minutes.He checked the plan,there are CCTV cameras evrywhere in the building but they have been destroyed.They tried to get in through the back making a plan,but they failed and got killed.As an compensation for the attempt one of the staff members were shot and thrown from the terrace.
Arjun looked at the body.He even feared to imagine anyone else in his place.They had no other way so planned to get Pathan out and also hand over the confiscated consignments and other men.They started with the procedures and in the mean time Sikander contacted with Arjun again to know about the progress,

'mere demands kab tak pure honge,bhulo mat yaha aur bhi log hai,aur meri favourite do log to hai,waise rawte teri biwi kafi kubsuraat hai,mujhe na use marne ka maan nehi kar raha,man kar raha hai apne sathe leke jau,per kiya karu?tum log mere demands hi nehi man rahe,kahi mujhe use marna na pare,'Sikander said and slapped roshni,which made her cry aloud.

'Sikander use hath lagaya to zinda nehi rahega,'

'chup raho,aur kam karo,warna...',the call ended with this,

Arjun was losing his temper gradually.Roshni's cry was making him an angry tiger who would pounce on his prey any moment now.But he was helpless.

Pathan was brought there.He came out of the Police jeep along with the men.The consignments were kept beside them.They called sikander and he asked them to load the consignments in the chopper and let Pathan and others free of their handcuff.That was being done,when sikander asked pathan to punch Arjun on his face.Pathan did that and gave a hearty laugh.Arjun fisted his hand and closed his eyes trying to calm himself.

Pathan went towards the chopper to check with the loading with his men.He was standing there when there were sudden gun shots and all of them died.Arjun took his gun and ran towards the chopper but they were already dead.He couldnt understand what was going on when Sikander called again,

'tumne inhe mar dala?lekin pathan to..'

'mera right hand tha,per tha rawte,abhi aur mujhe uski koi zarorat nehi'

'to ab tum sabko chor unhe kiyu roka hai?'

'chor dunga rawte,pehele meri ek demand hai wo to sun lo,'

'kiya hai tumhara demand?'

'tum acp rawte,tum ander aoge,per koi hosiyari nehi,warna teri biwi to gayi',


Arjun was again confused.Sikander was playing a game,rather taking revenge from him but what does he really want he couldnt understand.He stuck his gun in his boots and attached a mini camera onto his shirt and went in.There he was thoroughly checked and the gun and camera were removed.He was taken there where everyone was kept captive.He looked around but couldnt find roshni or his child.He was despearately looking for them everywhere when he felt a sharp pain at the back of his head.He was hit with something blunt at the back of his head.His head started bleeding and his eye sight was getting dizzy but he managed to stand still there.Sikander came in with roshni on his gun point and a man beside holding his daughter who was sleeping,most probably was drugged.

'sikander mein aa gaya hu na,chor do in sabko',

'mein bhi to chorna chahata hu acp rawte,but meri ek condition hai,'

'kaisa condition?',arjun asked getting restless

'mein ya to in sab logo ko chorunga ya fir teri biwi aur beti ko,ab tum decide kar lo tum kise bachana chahate ho?'


Arjun knew well what game sikaner was playing.He tried to walk forward to hold sikander and punch him to death but he was helpless.Roshni was looking at him pleading to save everyone.But that was not possible.His body gave in and he kneeled down.He kept looking at roshni and saw her crying.He had a bleeding lips and a brusied forehead.He wanted to kill himself than decide whom to save.He looked towards the other people,he was their last hope.He kept thinking and suddenly a loud howl left his mouth.Sikander was sitting at a distance with his jaan on his lap.Arjun looked at his jaan who had woke up from her slumber and was crying,must be hungry.It was pricking every part of his heart to see her crying.He kept alternating between the people and his family.

'ab bas 5 minute,jaldi decide karo warna sab ko mar deta hu'


Arjun looked at roshni,she had tears in her eyes but there was a fade smile on her lips.She knew he wont forget his duty.He wanted to rush to her and save her but his legs were stiff.He kept looking at her and his daughter and spoke,

'Baki sab ko chor do'


That was it,he has lost it.He removed his gaze from roshni.His gaze landed on his jaan.She was crying terribly.Then looked down and started crying,words not leaving his mouth.

'thik hai,rawte tum in sab ko leke bahar chale jao,mere admi last mein rahenge koi hoshiyari nehi',sikander said

Arjun looked up stood up.He kept looking ar Roshni,she was not speaking a word but her silence was speaking volumes.She was conveying her love and care through her eyes.Her eyes were sparkling.She was happy with his choice?How can she be?She cant be so selfless..she should have hated me..plz hate me roshni...plz jaan plz kill me...He was crying but tears were not coming out.He was set to a gun point.His vision was blurry.He kept walking with the others looking back at his family.

Everyone went out,all rejoiced and hugged their loved ones.He stepped out to pick up a small kid who had fallen down when there was a blast and the whole building burnt down into ashes.He was thrown at a distance due to pressure.He got up and kept looking at the building which was still burning at few places.The DIG had orders of killing Sikander once everyone was out and he did that.Not knowing two people were still inside.

He rushed in instantly and found everyone dead.There was sikander's body half burnt.At a distance was roshni's bangle and other was a piece of burnt cloth,his jaan's frock which he had bought for her after a long fight with roshni.He picked up the pieces of remains and cluctched them close to his heart.He was shivering,breathing very heavy.His head was paining but that was nothing to what his heart was feeling.DIG came to him and held his shoulders.He was numb he couldnt feel anything.DIG shook him hard thats when he came back to senses.He picked up the pieces and walked out.

He started walking aimlessly.After walking for about an hour he reached home.He searched for the key in his pocket and opened the door.He went in.Switched on the lights.He looked around.Everything was a standstill.Not a sound in the house.Everything,every inch,every brick was haunting at him.The kitchen was empty,roshni didnt come out speaking to herself,the cradle lay baren,no smile of his jaan looking at him,no one welcomed him.The dinning table with the empty seats,no food was layed for the couple to eat together.He touched everything and sat down beside the cradle.Their bundle of joy.The little hands holding his finger,the little legs she moved when he use to talk to her,the smile that made his days were all gone.Just few hours back he had everything now he is empty.He has lost his family once again.He held onto the cradle and hugged it as if hugging them.Tears started forming in his otherwise mischevious eyes.He started crying aloud.He was crying his heart and there was not a single soul beside him.He had failed them.This feeling was killing him from within.

After some time he took his gun.He had made up his mind.Yes he was weak,the weakest person now.He placed the gun at his forehead and closed his eyes.He had thought about it.He didnt have the right to live his life when he was nothing but a failure.He failed to protect his family who has given him all the happiness in this life.He closed his eyes and was about the pull the trigger when his phone started ringing.He opened his eyes and kept the gun aside.He picked up the phone,

'sir,ek murder hua hai,ap ayenge?'

'ata hu'


That was it,his new beginning.He got up tucking the gun behind.Drank a glass of water and went out closing his door behind.A ruthless,aggressive Cop was on his way to give justice and save the innocent lives so that no one becomes the next Arjun Suryakant Rawte.
