Part 5(Continued):
Arjun was coming out of his cabin when he found Saakshi searching for the medicine. He at once felt guilty for his action. He soon walked towards her and held her left hand and started dragging her with him towards his cabin. She was struggling and trying to stop him from dragging her.
Saakshi (Angrily); Arjun chodo mujhe. Yeh kya kar rahe ho? Kya baatamezi hain yeh?
Arjun: Chup chap chalo mere saath. Tum kitana bhi resist karogi tumme tho mere saath chalana hi hain. So just come with me.
Saying that he dragged her to his cabin and opened the tap of the wash basin and held her burnt hand against the water running from the tap. She was shocked by this action of his and also winced in pain at the contact of the cold water on her burn. She in a reflex held his upper arm tightly for support. He was surprised and looked at her, she looked up to him and their eyes locked for a while. He was thinking about Saakshi as to who was real Saakshi the one who had bore the pain till the point or the one who was wincing now like a kid. At that moment the world ceased to exist for them, it was just both of them trying to read each other's mind and gauge their thoughts.
He came out of the eye lock and made her sit on the couch. It was when he tried to move away that she realized that she had been holding his arm for support. She soon left his hand and mouthed a quick sorry. Then he went to his table and brought the first aid kit. He sat near her and started cleaning the water with the cotton. After removing all the water from her burns, he took the ointment and started applying it on her wounds very softly and blew air on her skin whenever she winces. The moment his finger touched her skin softly she felt a felt a shrill go through her spine. His state was no different. They both were having such feelings after a long time. Brushing aside his thoughts, he continued the task at hand. She was really amazed by the fact that his touch was so gentle considering the fact that he was cop who was used to rough and tough ways of handling the criminals. Soon he completed tending her wounds and got up bringing her out of her thoughts.
Arjun: Come I will drop you at your place.
Saakshi: No thanks. I will go on my own.
Arjun: See don't argue. It's already late and it's not advisable to go alone. Come I will drop you.
Saakshi: Ok I will get my stuff and meet you in the parking lot
Arjun; Ok be there in 10 min
Time whirled away; the ETF team solved several other nerve wrecking cases. Saakshi had become one among them very easily and in almost no time. She took care of each and every member of the team as her own family. She would bring them home cooked food more often than not, serve them cofee and make them feel relaxed when they were struck in between the cases. She had soon become chotu, Aisha and Liza's best friend. One would always see them together during the free time gossiping, chatting and pulling each other's legs. She would make sure that Aisha and Liza reached home safely when they had to leave office late due to their work. Sameer started to consider Saakshi as his younger sister and would take her side during her duels with Arjun.
Of all the bonds that she shared with different members, the one she shared with Arjun was the most complex and unpredictable one. There were fireworks more often than not when they spoke to each other. Their opinions differed in almost every matter and were nothing but contrasting personalities trying to prove each other that they were right in whatever they said. Despite being loggerheads at work, rest of the team could sense a strong bond between them that both were unaware. Saakshi would always take care that his cutting chai would be served for him as and when required. She also ensured that he would never skip his meal. He on the other hand would drop her home whenever they were late due to work. The mutual care and concern was like a unwritten bond between them.
The only person with whom Saakshi maintained a strictly professional relationship was Shree. Shree had once again been left to himself due to her unexpected entry into ETF.
