Wishing you all a very Happy New Year. I'm back with a new part... i'm still travelling and really don't have time to reply to all of you individually... but a big Thanks to all of you for liking this and commenting on this part.

I have tried to clear some confusions in this part and opened a few small layers of past in a filmy style 😉

10:30 PM

Sameer reached home depressed. What he saw today was like a nightmare.

His parents had their dinner and went to sleep. Annu was waiting for him.

Annu noticed that he is disturbed. He refused to have dinner and went straight to his bedroom. Annu cleared the dining table and followed him.

He was sitting on the bed looking at the bangle. Annu entered the room and saw him with the bangle. She sat next to him confused.

Annu: Sameer... sab theek to hai?

Sameer(worried): nahi Annu... kuch bhi theek nahi hai... mujhe laga tha ki shayad sirf ek Arjun hi hai jisey mujhe us sadme se ubaarna hai aur insaaf dilana hai... par nahi... koi aur bhi hai... jisne apne badle k junoon mein apni jaan aur apni izzat ko daav par laga diya hai... samajh mein nahi aa raha kya karoon?

Annu: Sameer!! please aise paheliyon mein baat mat kijiye... mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai... mai janti hoon Roshni ki maut ka sadma hai Arjun ji ko ... par kuch aur bhi hai...jo apne mujhe nahi bataya hai... aur ye dusra kaun hai... jise badla lena hai...aur kis cheez ka badla? aap kab tak is sab se akele ladenge... aur ye bracelet? ye kiska hai?... please mujhe bataiye... please...

Sameer takes a deep breath and shows Annu the memory chips hidden in the inner rim of the bracelet. Annu is shocked to see that.

Annu: Sameer!! ye sab kya hai?

Sameer: batata hoon... sab batata hoon... (closes his eyes for a few seconds and opens them) ... Arjun aaj jaisa hai... waisa wo nahi tha... wo ek khush-mizaz aur zinda-dil ladka tha... humesha muskurata hua aur apne aas paas k logo ko hasata hua...(old memories bring smile to his face) hum college mein dost baney... saath mein IPS join kiya... training li... fir uski zindagi mein Roshni aayi... humne ye ghar saath saath liye... Arjun aur Roshni ki shadi huyi... sab kuch itna khoobsurat tha...hum kitne khush they apni is chhoti si duniya mein...(sad)Aur fir achanak ek din sab kuch khatm ho gaya...(takes a few moments to compose himself) ..3 saal se zyada ho gaye is baat ko... Arjun tab crime branch mein tha... ek murder case ko solve kartey huye usne ek bahut bada drug racket pakda ... uske saath hi kuch aur bhi illegal activities ki links mili...jaise ki human trafficking, gold and diamonds smuggling... ye sab smuggling samundar k raste se hoti thi... aur Mumbai coast se thodi door Konkan k kisi gaon se ye sab operate hota tha... Arjun ki wajah se us gang ka bahut nuksan hua tha... is case mein kuch department k andar k logo ka aur kuch politicians ka bhi naam shamil tha... par Arjun ne kisi ki parwah nahi ki... aur un dino waha naye joint commissioner aaye they... Mr. Ajay Kapoor... Unhone Arjun ko poora support diya is case mein... us gang ki jad tak pahunchne hi wale they wo dono ... ki achanak... ministry se pressure aane ki wajah se unhe wo case band karna pada...Arjun aur Mr Kapoor ne bahut koshish ki... par koi faayda nahi hua... Tab dono ne socha ki is case par secretly kaam karenge... aur wo kar bhi rahey they... par shayad kismat ko kuch aur hi manzoor tha... Us gang k head ko Arjun ki secret investigation ka pata chal hi gaya aur usne Arjun ko khuli dhamki di thi... par Arjun ne uski parwah nahi ki...aur uski keemat usey chukani padi... Roshni ki jaan se...

Annu is shocked to hear that Roshni was murdered. She quickly composed herself and pressed Sameer's shoulder.

Sameer: Us din Arjun aur Roshni ki first wedding anniversary thi... aur Arjun ko office mein wo dhamki wala phone aaya tha ki usi din wo Arjun ko barbaad kar dega... mujhe uske junior officer se pata chala tab maine Arjun ko mana kiya tha ki ... us din wo Roshni ko bahar na le jaaye... ghar par hi anniversary celebrate karey

Flashback begins*

Sameer: Arjun ... ye kya zid hai? tum us phone par aayi dhamki ko ignore nahi kar saktey... Roshni ki jaan ko khatrey mein nahi daal saktey...

Arjun: Relax Sam!! aur please... dheere bol... Maa - Papa sun lenge to bewajah pareshan ho jayenge...

Sam: Bewajah?

Arjun: Aur nahi to kya?...aise log sirf dhamki dete hain... aur hum kab tak aise darr ke ghar mein chhupenge... kabhi na kabhi to bahar aana hi padega na... aur dekh... maine Roshni se promise kiya hai ki aaj dinner k baad hum dono long drive par jayenge...

Sam: mai bhi chalunga tum dono k saath drive pe...

Arjun(shocked but composes himself and snaps back): haan... kyun nahi... ek kaam kar... ek achchhi si ladki pata k le aa... fir tu, wo, mai aur Roshni... double date par jayenge (grins)

Sam: tujhe ye sab mazaak lag raha hai? Arjun please try to understand... is case barey mein maine bhi research ki hai... aur ye sab jitna dikhta hai ussey kahin zyada bada hai... har kadam par khatra hai... aur yaha to khuli dhamki di hai usne tujhe... aur tu ek police officer hai... ye tera kaam hai... par Roshni k barey mein to soch... uski jaan ko khatre mein kyun daal raha hai...

Arjun: Sam!! Sam!! Sam!! ... mai teri baat samajh raha hoon... par aaj ka din special hai... aur please... mujh pe bharosa rakh... mai hoon Roshni k saath... kuch nahi hoga... And no more arguements on this...

Sameer is helpless. But he decides to follow Arjun when he goes for the drive. But Arjun guesses that Sam must be thinking about it.

Arjun: Aur haan!! agar tu soch raha hai ki drive par tu mera peechha karega ya mujhe track karega... to bhool ja... aisa kuch nahi karega tu...

Sameer: mai aisa karunga...

Arjun: tujhe aisa karne se kaise rokna hai... iska tareeka bhi mujhe pata hai...

Sameer pouts and glares at Arjun who was grinning.

Later at Arjun's place, they have dinner and Arjun and Roshni leave for the long drive around 10:30 PM.

After a few minutes Sameer too leaves his apartment and goes to the parking but is mad to see that Arjun had punctured all the tyres of his car.

Sameer(Screams in frustration): DAMN IT Arjun!!! why did u do this...

He goes back to his apartment frustrated but is not able to sleep. He was worried for Arjun and Roshni. He was pacing in his room going to the window every 5 mins to see if Arjun and Roshni are back. He tried calling both, but they had switched off their cell phones. It was 2 AM now and Arjun and Roshni were still not back. This was the limit of his patience. He called up the traffic police control room to check for Arjun's car's location and informed Mr Kapoor about this. Mr Kapoor too started from his place to pick up Sameer. In 15 minutes he got information that Arjun's car had crossed Ahemadabad highway toll plaza around 11:00 PM but has not returned back. This worried Sameer because he knew that Arjun would never go more than a few Kilometres after the toll plaza. Sameer called up the police control room to contact all the police stations within the few kilometres of toll plaza and tell them to check their area for any emergencies reported.

By now Mr Kapoor had arrived to Sameer's place. The duo started for Ahmedabad highway. After a few minutes, Sameer got a call from control room that a case of an accient has been reported few hours ago in a police station of a village of the highway. He also got the location address and they drove towards the accident spot.

It took them almost 45 minutes to reach the spot and both of them were praying for Arjun and Roshni's safety.

They were in a shock to see the scene at the accident spot. Arjun's car had hit a tree and its rear side was crashed as if a heavy vehicle had crushed him from behind.

Sameer and Mr Kapoor hop out of the car and sprint towards the car. When policemen stop them they flash their id cards and the staff there saluted them.

Sameer(anxious): kaise hua ye sab? aur is gadi mein jo log they... wo kahan hain?

A constable: Sir !! ye sab kaise hua ye to pata nahi chala par... ek truck ne peechhe se takkar maari thi is gadi ko... aur wo truck thodi doori par hume mila... driver aur cleaner bhaag gaye... aur is gadi mein jo they... unhe paas k hospital le gaye hain...

Sameer looks around. He sees the blood smeared on the road and the markings of bodies a bit away from the car.

Sameer(worried): wo dono theek to hain?

Constable(lowers his eyes): sir wo...

Sameer(holds his collar and screams): wo kya?

Mr Kapoor(intervenes and makes Sameer leave the constable) : Rathod... hosh mein aao... hospital chal ke dekhtey hain...

Sameer and Mr Kapoor leave for the hospital.

Doctor told him that the lady was brought dead to the hospital and the man is being treated but is not responding to the treatment.

He is taken to the mortuary to identify the body. The wardboy removed the sheet from the face and he is shattered to the lifeless body of Roshni. All the moments spent with Roshni flashed in front of his eyes...her smile, her twinkling eyes, her giggle... He couldnt believe she was no more. Tears welled up in his eyes.

He touched her cheeks.

Sameer: Roshni... aankhein kholo Roshni...tumhe kuch nahi ho sakta... please aankhein kholo...(screams crying out loud) ROSHNI!!!!

Flashback ends*

Sameer is out of breath and is in tears re-living that horrifying incident that changed his world and his relationship with his best friend.

Annu was in tears. She holds him in her arms hugs him tightly and feels guilty of making him go through this pain again. Sameer doesnt stop his tears. He lets them flow. It was for the first time after that day he was crying. It was this pain that kept on piling up all these years.

After a few minutes he composed himself.

Sameer: Arjun ki jaan bach gayi thi... thodi der baad usey Mumbai k City hospital mein shift kar diya tha... Mai usey kabhi maaf nahi kar paaya... agar us din usne meri baat maan li hoti... ya meri gadi puncture nahi ki hoti... to shayad ye sab nahi hota... par... jo hona tha wo to ho hi gaya ... Roshni chali gayi... Aur Arjun khud bhi us guilt feeling aur badle ki aag mein jalne laga... sab se door ho gaya... uska attitude hi badal gaya... aur kyunki is case ki wajah se uske dushman bhi badh gaye they... to baar baar uska transfer ho jata tha...

He is quiet for a few more minutes.

Sameer: Mr Kapoor is sab se bhadak gaye they ... department k ek kaabil officer par is tarah se hamla aur uski patni ki hatya ... unhone is ke khilaf aawaz uthayi to unka bhi transfer ho gaya... par unhone resignation de diya... aur privately apna investigation shuru rakha... Arjun unke saath contact mein tha... par fir lagbhag 18 months baad... ek din... Mr Kapoor aur unki patni par bhi usi tarah hamla hua... aur dono ki jaan chali gayi... uske baad mera transfer bhi crime branch mein ho gaya... aur fir maine protocol k andar reh kar is case ko re-open karne ki koshish ki to... mujhe bhi haar ka hi saamna karna pada... kyunki Roshni ki maut wale haadse mein Arjun ne jo bayaan diya tha... ussey ye case bahut zyada ulajh gaya tha...

Annu looks at him enquiringly.

Sameer: Arjun jab us accident k baad hosh mein aaya... to usne apne bayaan mein jis shakhs ka naam liya... uske existence koi saboot hi nahi hai...

Annu is confused.

Sameer: uska kehna tha ki jisne Roshni ko maara, uska naam Sikandar tha...usne bataya ki samne se koi gaadi aayi aur aur usse bachne ki koshish mein wo ped se takra gaya aur tabhi peechhe se ek truck ne takkar mari aur... Usey aur Roshni ko chot aayi ... aur issey pehle ki wo kuch samajha pata... kuch logo ne usey bahar nikala aur maarne lagey... samne ek aadmi tha... wo khud ko Sikandar bata raha tha... Roshni jab hosh mein aayi aur uska naam e ke chillayi... to Sikandar ne usey bhi ghaseet kar bahar nikala... aur wo jaan gaya tha... ki Roshni Arjun ki kamzori hai... Aur us aadmi ne...Arjun ki aankhon ke samne ... Roshni ko...(his words trailed off)

Annu squeezed his shoulder.

Sameer: usne us aadmi ka jo huliya bataya... us huliye ka koi aadmi exist hi nahi karta... humne sarey police records check kar liye... par koi saboot nahi mila...koi fingerprints nahi, koi DNA sample nahi... aise mein kuch bhi saabit karna na mumkin tha... aur is case ko accident, robbery and homicide ka naam de diya gaya aur kuch dino baad... case band kar diya gaya...

He took a deep breath.

Sameer: maine bhi apni koshishein jaari rakhi... par mai Mr Kapoor aur Arjun ki tarah aggressive nahi ho sakta tha... isliye nahi ki mai darta hoon... balki isliye ki is case ko solve karne k liye mera zinda rehna zyada zaroori hai... kam se kam tab tak...jab tak ye case solve nahi ho jata...jaan dena bahut aasaan hai... par kya faayda us qurbani ka jisse insaaf na miley... isliye maine kuch din chup rehna theek samjha...

Sameer takes a pause.

Sameer: Aur fir ek din Mr Kapoor ki beti Aisha mujhse milne office aayi.. aaj se kareeb dedh (one and half ;) ) saal pehle...

Flashback begins*

Sameer: Aisha !! tum?

Aisha: Sir ... us case ka kya hua?

Sameer(with sympathy): Dekho Aisha ... mai koshish kar raha hoon... jaldi hi hum is case ki jad tak pahuch jayenge...

Aisha: Sir mai janti hoon aap mujhe jhootha dilasa de rahe hain...

Sameer: Aisha... ye sab itna asaan nahi hai... Arjun aur tumhare papa k saath kya hua tumne dekha na... hum is tarah khule aam agar is case par kaam karenge to humara bhi wohi hoga...(Aisha looks at him with pain in her eyes)... lekin iska matlab ye nahi hai ki mai marne se darta hoon... par mai ye bhi jaanta hoon ki is case ko solve karne k liye mera zinda rehna zaroori hai... kyunki Arjun aur Mr Kapoor ki baat par mere alawa aur koi bharosa nahi karta... isliye mai khud ko marne ki bhi ijaazat nahi de sakta... (there was a pain in his voice which hurt her)

Aisha: Lekin hum haath par haath rakh ke to nahi baith saktey... humein kuch to karna hoga...

Sameer: Maine baat ki hai humare ek purane senior se... wo bahut jald secretly ye case Intelligence bureau ko dene wale hain... aur ussey humein bahut badi help milegi... par usmein waqt lagega...

Aisha: kitna waqt sir?

Sameer: ye mai abhi nahi bata sakta...

Aisha(with pain): tab tak kahin bahut der na ho jaye sir... justice delayed is justice denied... Aur agar aap kuch nahi kar sakte hain to please... ye jhoothi ummeed dena band kijiye... waise bhi is system par se ab mera bhi bharosa uth chuka hai... mai khud hi apna badla le sakti hoon...(with agression in her voice)

Sameer(worried): Aisha... tum aisa kuch nahi karogi... tumhari bhi jaan ko khatra ho sakta hai... isliye mai tumhe yehi salaah doonga ki tum kuch din keliye yaha se kahin door chali jao... aur system ko apna kaam karne do... Aur agar kabhi bhi tumhe meri madad ki zarurat ho... to hichkichana mat...

Aisha leaves with teary eyes and Sameer looks at her retreating back with sympathy. He is determined to crack this case. He calls up Mr Coelho to remind him about this case's invesigation by IB and Mr Coelho assures him that this will be taken up very soon. later after a few months, Mr Coelho informed Sameer that the case has been assigned to one of the best undercover officers Rishi Malhotra.

FLashback ends*

Sameer: Aisha ek bahut achchhi ladki thi... hai... Wo Bangalore mein rehti thi... Mr Kapoor ki hatya k kuch hi din baad Aisha ka IAS entrance ka result aaya tha... usne top kiya... ek bright future tha uska... par... apne maata-pita ko khone k gham ne uski zindagi bhi badal di... us din maine usey mana kiya tha... ki koi bhi galat kadam na uthaye... apni jaan ko kahtrey mein na daaley... par usne meri baat nahi maani... maine ussey kaha tha ki jab use meri zarurat hogi... wo mujhe call kar sakti hai... aur kal (takes a deep breath) ... kal raat usi ka call tha... usne mujhe bataya ki uske paas us case se related kuch important saboot hain... aur wo saboot usne pichhle ek saal mein us gang mein rehkar ikattha kiye hain... wohi dena chahti thi mujhe...in memory chips mein wohi saboot hain... usi se milne gaya tha... aur usey jis hal mein maine dekha... bura laga mujhe...

Annu caressed his hair with love.

Sameer: ek educated, smart, sundar, ek senior police officer ki beti jo khud ek IAS officer ban hi gayi thi... ek ghatiya se bar mein naach rahi thi... aur log usey buri nazar se dekh rahey they...kya kya sapne dekhe they Mr Kapoor ne uske liye... aur kaha pahucha diya kismat ne usey... is system ne usey itna majboor kar diya ki usey itna bada kadam uthana pada ... i felt very helpless Annu... wo mere paas aayi thi insaaf mangne ... uar mai usey sivaye jhoothi ummeed k kuch nahi de paya...shayad mai hi zimmedar hoon uski is haalat hai... pata nahi kis haal mein rahi hogi wo waha... agar waha uske saath kuch galat hua hoga to mai khud ko kabhi maaf nahi kar paunga mai Annu... (he looks at Annu intently)

Annu hugs him tightly.

Annu: Bas Sameer... aisa kuch nahi... mai jaanti hoon... aap jaan boojhkar kuch galat nahi karenge... ye sab haalat ki wajah se hua... aur mai janti hoon... jis din haalat aapke favour mein honge... aap Arjun, Roshni, Aisha aur uske mata -pita ko insaaf zaroor dilayenge... mujhe aap par poora bharosa hai...

Sameer parts from her and looks at her with teary eyes the assurance in her eyes gave him a new hope.

Annu: aapne dinner nahi kiya hai... please kuch kha lijiye...

Sameer protests but Annu cuts him short and tells him to wait. She gets food for both of them.

Sameer: Mai itna saara khana nahi khaunga...

Annu: mai bhi to khaungi aapke saath..

Sameer was worried and felt guilty that she didnt eat anything and he didnt ask her.

Sameer: Annu... please ... aage se aisa mat karna... meri duty aur kaam hi kuch aisa hai... aise mere intezar mein bina khaye mat baithna...

Annu: its ok Sameer...

Sameer(cuts her short): its not ok Annu ... promise karo mujhse... aage se aisa nahi karogi

Annu: Sameer !!!

Sameer: Annu please...

Annu: achchha theek hai... mai aagey se zyada der tak wait nahi karungi... par aap bhi promise kijiye ki ... aap bhi aise bina khaye sone ki zid nahi karenge... chahe kitna bhi stress ho...

Sameer passes a weak smile.

Sameer: ok...

Annu smiles back and they feed each other.

Later, he kept his head in her lap and she caressed his hair till he drifted to sleep.

Annu was still in a shock that the man who gave her new life was struggling within himself. Her respect for him grew in many folds. She slowly placed his head on a pillow when he was fast asleep and kissed his forehead.

Annu promised to herself that she will always be with him in all the ups and downs of their life and will always try to be his strength and not his weakness. She too drifted to sleep after some time.

Next day.

Sameer went to office and called Shree in his cabin.

Sameer(in very serious tone): Shree !!! ek secret case par kaam karna hai... aur iske baarey mein tumhare aur mere alawa aur kisi ko pata nahi chalna chahiye... is that clear?

Shree is a bit apprehensive but nods in "Yes"

Sameer gives him all the memory chips to extract the information from. Shree is surprised at this but agrees to help Sameer. He takes the chips and leaves.

Sameer! Sameer!! and Sameer!!! The full update almost full of Sameer...and i loved it...cnt' ask for more.

but at th same time his vulnerable and heart wrenching condition also pained my heart a lot!

This ws his side of story! people really dnt think much abt Rathod's Point of story abt th whole matter...

loved the way u easily portrayed it...Aisha's strive for getting justice for her parents is showed really well...hope everyhtng soon sorts out gud...without a harm to her!
