After all the rituals, all the guests left by 5 PM. Sharma family, Sen Family and Chhotu and his father too left.
Annu was told to take rest in Mona's room. Sameer was very happy and excited. Finally they were married and just like any other guy, he was eagerly waiting for his wedding night.
It was late in the evening, and he was confused. He didn't see anyone coming to his room to decorate it. But he was too shy to go and ask about it. Arjun was with him and was reading his expressions. Arjun guessed what was going in his mind.
Arjun: kya hua? kuch problem hai kya?
Sam(trying to hide his nervousness):nahi... kuch bhi to nahi...wo Annu ka pehla din hai na ghar mein... pata nahi kaisa feel kar rahi hogi... shadi ki rasmein poori hone k baad mil hi nahi paaya usse...
Arjun(teasing him): hmmm... aur kal subah tak mil bhi nahi payega...
Sameer was flabbergasted. His eyes almost popped out and he screamed.
Sameer: KYA?
Arjun: haan... tu kal subah tak Annu Bhabhi se nahi mil sakta...
Sameer: tu mazaak kar raha hai na...
Arjun: I'm serious... chahe to Maa se poochh le...
Sameer storms out of the room calling for Suman
Suman and Savita were sitting in her room chit chatting.
Sameer comes there.
Sameer(anxious): Maa... Annu kahan hai? wo theek hai na? aur ye Arjun kya bol raha hai... mai kal subah tak usse mil nahi sakta... kyun?
Suman: ohho... shaant hoja... Annu bilkul theek hai... wo Mona k room mein hai... aur Arjun ne sahi kaha... tu seedha kal subah usse mil sakta hai... SatyaNarayan pooja mein...
Sameer: Kyun?
Suman: Bengali riwaj se jis din shadi hoti hai... wo raat Kaal-Ratri hoti hai... dulha dulhan ek dusre se nahi mil saktey... ap-shagun hota hai... ...(teasing him) isliye jis raat ka intezar tum kar rahe ho wo aaj nahi... kal hai...
Sameer: What?? ye kya bakwaas hai?? "Kaal Ratri"... ye kya hota hai? mujhe Annu se milna hai...aaj humari shadi huyi hai... to fir mera usse milna koi ap-shagun kaise ho sakta hai?"
Suman: Sameer... dekho... chup chaap apne room mein jao... mai dinner k liye bulati hoon tumko thodi der mein ... aaram karo jaa ke... tum Annu se nahi mil saktey... aur ab koi behes nahi..
Sameer pouts and leaves disappointed. Arjun was waiting for him in his room.
Arjun: ho gaya vishwas ki mai sahi bol raha tha?
Sameer glares at him.
Arjun: meri taraf aise gusse se dekh ke kya matlab hai?... is sab ka zimmedar tu khud hai...Parso engagement ki rasm ke baad shaam ka muhurat bahut achcchha tha... Maa ne pandit ji se baat karke us shaam ko Bengali riwaj se shaadi plan ki thi... jisse ki wohi raat Kaal-Ratri k roop mein nikal jaati aur baki ki rasmein jaise huyi waise hi hoti...(teasing tone) aur aaj teri suhag raat hoti...
Sameer is shocked to know this.
Sameer: to fir ye sab hua kyun nahi?
Arjun: Arrey... Bhool gaya... tuney hi to us din josh mein aakar kaha tha... ki hum Rajput hain... aur pehle shadi Rajput rasmo se honi chahiye... aur baad meni Bengali rasmo se... to Maa ko plan change karna pada...
Sameer was annoyed with himself. One unintentional joke meant to just tease Annu costed him this. But he had no choice.
Later Suman calls them for dinner and he sees Suman taking dinner for Annu in Mona's room after serving them.
In the night.
Annu shared the room with Mona and Riya. Both the girls were teasing her and she was blushing.
Sameer shared his room with Arjun. Sameer was tossing in the bed disturbing Arjun.
Arjun: Sam so ja ... please... is tarah raat jaldi nahi guzarne wali...
Sameer looks at him annoyedly.
Arjun: relax... kal subah jaldi uthna hai na?
Sameer makes a puppy face and nods in yes.
Arjun: to so ja... aur mujhe bhi sone de...
Arjun pulls the blanket over his face turning to other side and sleeps.
Sameer was still thinking about Annu and drifts to sleep in some time.

Annu's state was no different, but she was prepared for it. And she was worried about Sam when she got to know from Mona that Sameer was very disappointed. She felt bad for him that she forgot to tell him about this.
She too drifts to sleep thinking baout him.

Next day.
Annu wakes up early, gets ready and goes to kitchen to help Suman prepare for pooja. And since it was her first day in kitchen, she offers to make prasad for pooja.
Sameer woke up a little late and was still sleepy but the motivation to see Annu pushed to him to get ready. He went to the living room where preparations of pooja were going on and Pandit ji had just arrived.
Suman told Annu to go outside when Pandit ji called her for pooja.
When Sameer saw her, he was lost looking at her. She looked more beautiful with sindoor and mangalsutra. It added to the glow on her face.
They did the pooja as per Pandit ji's instruction and took blessings from all the elders.
After lunch, family decided to send Sameer and Annu somewhere out so that they can decorate the room for their wedding night. But then Arjun's devil mind didnt want to give Sameer and Annu a chance to romance before their wedding night. He gets an idea.
He called Riya and told his plan.
