Part 9A

Next day

At 7.00 am

Sakshi got ready as fast as she can and left for office. She could not sleep last night because the "feelings" that she was feeling since night since she accepted the fact that she in fact was in love with Arjun is so overwhelming and exciting..She was feeling so nervous...excited...weird...her heart was beating fast every time she mentions the name "Arjun". She was going through lot of emotions that was enough to keep her awake for whole night and it was getting too much to handle, so she decided to not to wait for Arjun to come in the evening...rather she decided to go herself to the office and tell him there itself...

She got outside the office and took a cab to the office

Sakshi to cab driver: Bahiya ji ETF headquarters

Radio was playing in the cab.

Around 15 minutes later into the drive...cab driver changed the radio station and following song started playing...

(Coincidently name of SRK in movie is also Arjun...So I thought of using this song)

Sakshi smiled to herself...she was wondering whether she herself was imaging too much and linking all the songs to her situation or it was mere coincidence or this was some kind of signs...

Sakshi to cab driver: bahiya ji zara tez chalaiye nah...

cab driver: madam ji bilkul speed se ja raha hoon..aur aap toh jaanti iss waqt traffic time hai..toh toda waqt lage ga..lagta hai aap ko kisi se milne ki bahut jaldi hai

Sakshi: hmmm

She shifted her mind and eyes on the road..She indeed wanted to meet him as quickly as she can.

Around 8 am

She was standing outside the ETF headquarters. She put the hand on her heart. She could clearly hear her heartbeat. She closed her eyes and took few deep breaths and told herself ...You can do this Sakshi

She ran inside (imagine the same song is still playing in the background)

She ran and finally opened the door of the conference call and said: Arjun

She was breathing heavily..Luckily it was still early and lot of other staff was not in the office so nobody saw her 100 meter race to the conference hall..

But Arjun was not in the conference hall.

She thought he might be in his cabin..

This time she decided to walk to his cabin...

She could see him from glass doors..He was standing facing to the window side and his back towards to the door and his cabin door was little ajar.

She placed her hand on the door knob and was about to open the door when she heard something and that was more than enough to bring her back to reality.

It was voice of Chotu and he was also inside Arjun's cabin.

She heard Chotu saying: Arjun sir and Rathod sir..Kaam ho gaya hai..jaisa humne plan kiya tha..Rafiq bhai ka encounter kar diya hai..

Suddenly her hands left that door knob and she took step backward..

She was suddenly facing the wall and was trying to comphrend what Chotu just said

Sakshi: Rafiq bhai...Vikram...She remembered what Vikram told her other day...If you want to bring Sikander to Mumbai then you will have to kill Rafiq bhai...Sikander...

She turned around and ran to washroom..

Those words of Chotu were enough to break the dream that she was seeing since last night...she looked herself in the mirror..

Sakshi (talking to herself): What were you trying to do Sakshi. Tumne yeh soch bhi kaise liya..kaunse bhram mein jee rahi thi tu kal raat se...tujhe ho gaya kya gaya tha...kya tu sab kuch bool gayi hai..You have a mission to finish..aaj tu arjun ke cabin ka darwa kol leti toh socha bhi hai uska kya anjaam hota...How can you move on when you are still living in the past...

Par meh kya karoon ...uss hadse ke baaj kal raat pehli baar kuch acha ehsaas hua hai...pehli baar dil neh kuch tamanah ki aur pehli baar iss dil neh darr, gussa aur dard ke illawah bhi kuch mehsoos kiya hai...pyaar ka ehsaas...kya karoon meh..nahin Sakshi tu iss waqt toot nahin sakti...get a grip sakshi...

She slowly wiped her tears and washed her face and was ready to face what she left a week ago...

She has to get justice for her family and for that she has to keep her mind in focus.

She went and quietly sat in conference hall and started doing her work. Probably at office people were not still aware of her presence yet...

Chotu, Ayesha and Liza were first ones to enter the conference hall followed by Sameer and Arjun

Everybody welcomed her with smile on their faces..She was very happy to finally meet them all. She does not realize when but ETF team have really become part of her lives and she loved being around them.

While meeting with everyone she was deliberately trying to avoid eye contact with Arjun fearing that her eyes might betray her and tell him what is in her heart. But she also knows if she keep on behaving like that then Arjun will clearly suspect her and will ask her about this behavior. But she decided to let go for now and decided to ignore him for some time.

Suddenly Shree walked into the office. Ayesha was standing in front of her and she was sitting herself so maybe Shree did not realize I was here.

Shree: Sir woh joh cd joh commissioner sir neh Sakshi ki family ki murder ki di thi, I checked that again usme koi clue nahin hai and it is really painful to watch that cd. Everytime I see that cd, my blood starts boiling.

Ayesha clearly tried to stop Shree from saying but he had already said..Now everybody turned towards Sakshi. She did not know how to react. She knew ETF was handling her family's murder case and clearly that means they would have the cd too but still every time the mention of cd sends shivers to her spine. Knowing something happened was already enough for her to bear and seeing it through her own eyes is the most dreadful thing and worst reality of her life.

Ajrun clearly saw her hands clutching the arm rest of the chair tightly and knew this was too sensitive to talk during her presence and who else better than him can understand what she must be feeling right now. He really wanted to go ahead and put a hand on her shoulder and tell her to keep patience and relax but Ayesha came forward.

Ayesha put a hand on her shoulder.

After couple of seconds of comprehending what was going on..She just looked at Ayesha with little smile and nodded telling her that she is fine...

Everybody thought..where does she get so much courage from..

Arjun clearly saw the emotional upheaval she went through in those mere seconds and hence decided to change the topic...

Guys Chotu has informed that our plan is going as per plan..So what will be next step.. Tumne kuch socha hai Rathod...

Sameer: Socha toh hai Arjun...

On the other side

A man comes to his boss and says: Boss Rafiq bhai ka encounter ho gaya hai. Ab kya karna hai

Boss: Inn ETF waale bahut hi zyaada udd rahe hain. Pehle Vikram aur ab Rafiq bhai. Lagta hai inne sabak sikhana hi pade ga.

Arjun: Kya socha hai tumne Sameer

Sameer: Arjun ab tumhe hi karna hai..I know this will be hard for you. But I have called sketch artist and I want you to describe Sikander so that we can get some recognization of him.

It was pin drop silence in the room now and everybody was looking towards Arjun.

Arjun: ok call him in.

Sameer called the sketch artist in the conference hall and Arjun started describing Sikander

Everybody clearly could see what kind of emotional and mental stress Arjun is going through right now. His eyes were closed but all can see that he was living that painful incident right now and that pain, anger and helplessness on his face. Sameer asked everyone to go and wait outside. But he himself stayed with Arjun throughout the sketching process.

After a while everyone saw Arjun exiting the conference hall and going to his cabin.

Shree and Chotu went to conference hall and Ayesha was about to go when she saw Sakshi going towards Arjun's cabin

Ayesha: Sakshi don't go right now. He might need some time

Sakshi: Nahin Ayesha. I have to go. Mein usse iss waqt akela nahin chod sakti. Kal jab mujhe jarurrat thi toh usne mera haath taame raka aur nahin choda toh aaj mein kaise usse akela chod doon. I will come after I talk to him...
