Sakshi's POV

Sakshi was sitting at house and looking through the window outside. It was around 9 pm and streets of Mumbai were busy with hustle and bustle. Mumbai, city of dreams and lot of people come here to fulfill their dreams. Mumbai has seen so many journeys- journeys of so many people and one of them is Sakshi Kapoor. The first time she opened eyes to this world was only in this city. This is the same city that gave her wonderful parents and awesome brother. A family to live with, learn from and get love from, all were there for me. It's the same place she became Sakshi Anand from Sakshi Kapoor, nor that she minded, she loves her dad so much. I celebrated so many occasions with friends and family in this city only; birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, bhai's marriage- everything was going so perfect. But one incident happened that changed everything in my life. I had made myself understand with the fact that I had to live with that harsh reality of my life but recalling that incident again and again still sends shivers to my spine. However, I was forced to recall the entire thing again and that too in front of Vikram.

It's been a week since their plan became successful. Yes we were finally able to stop him before something big happened in Mumbai. But those few hours again made her life to stand on new road. All of ETF knew her reality and everything about her. It was not like I did not want to tell them but only was going to tell them when I would have needed their help. Yes it might sound selfish but I was only planning to tell them their reality when it would have the time to execute the plan to catch Sikander. I did not want their sympathy, pity nor did I want them to see me differently. I just needed their help to fulfill my mission but when does life goes as we plan it. I never in million years thought that I will meet Vikram again and when Mr. Singh came with his case to ETF, I always thought why? Why I had to see him again and embarrass myself again. I already made a fool of myself and behaved like a love struck teenager when in Pune. What why now? I did not have answer then but maybe now I do...

With that her eyes closed and her attention drifted back to that day.

The Kapoor's were found dead in their house. Family of four was murdered and their last rites were even performed very hastily and secretively. Nobody knew what had happened. I remember even asking commissioner to let him investigate and handle the case but commissioner had told him that when time will come he will himself hand over the case to ETF. So it was Sakshi who had filed an FIR and she was daughter of Anand sir. But why she did not tell us. So this was that was disturbing her? This girl had gone through so much.

Vikram: Toh aise hai..Jab meh tumhare saath tha, toh shayad tumhari and tumhare dad ke saath ek picture deki thi meine. Sakshi: kya kahan tumne Sikander bhai...really Sikander bhai...toh woh kameena bhai kab se ho gaya tumhara aur agar investigation karne par pata chal hi gaya tha ki mein unki beti hoon toh bata dete woh bhi apne uss Kameene bhai ko.

Vikram: Apni jubaan sambhal le..Mein Sikander bhai ke against kuch nahin suno ga.Us din jab mein police se baag raha tha...unho ne hi mujhe bachaya aur kaam diya...warna tumne toh mere maut ka poora intezaam kar hi diya tha..

Sakshi: woh toh dik hi raha hai kaafi bawadaar kuta paal raka hai Sikander ne

On the other side in the ETF Van

All they heard now was the sound of the slap. Everybody's blood boiled now. All they want to get in there and kill that bas***d

Sakshi: How dare you hit me...Kyun bahut bura laga apne Sikander bhai ki tareef sun kar

Vikram: Shut up Sakshi. Just shut up. What do you think of yourself and what does ETF think of themselves? You guys caught so many of our members and destroyed so much of our stuff and you think we will keep quiet and let it happen more. You guys will get this punishment..ETF will lose their beautiful crime investigative reporter and mumbaikars will lose their life. And trust you won't be even called martyr. They will consider you a traitor. Aaj ke baad toh Anand Kapoor ki family ka naam o nishan hi mit jaaye ga.

Sakshi: Don't you dare take name of my dad or my family from your awful mouth. They were brave police officers and they died while serving for the people. Do you know what oath a Indian police officer take? Mein bhi kisse pooch rahi hoon. Ek chor ko Indian police ki oath ke bare mein kaise patta ho sakta hai.

Uska matlab hai bure logo ko marna aur sache logo ki raksha karna. Woh hi mera bhai bhi kar raha tha. Kya tum yeh jaante ho kyun mara gaya meri family ko..

Vikram: Your brother was responsible for Sikander bhai's real brother- Vishnu death. Toh tumhe kya lagta Sikander bhai tumhari family ko chod deta.

Sakshi: yeh jaante ho kyun why he killed Vishnu?

Vikram: I don't and I don't want to know either and he did the right thing. You police officers are worth of this only. You police officers always misuse your powers. You don't help innocent people ...suna tumne aisa hi karte sab police waale..

Sakshi: Oh come on. My brother was not fool aur tumhara Vishnu bhi dool ka dula nahin tha. He was a bloody criminal- Sikander ki Mumbai mein sabhi illegal activities woh hi handle karta tha. On top of it he crossed all the boundaries when he raped an innocent college going girl and left her to die. Seema, that was her name. Vishnu saw her and started following her from that day only. He would bother her, always stand outside her college, try to touch her and pass remarks on her. He was constantly troubling her so much. She was slowly starting to live in the fear that wherever she will go, Vishnu and his men will humiliate her. Do you even know what girls go through when something like this happens with them. Everyday becomes a torture. Finally one day Seema showed some courage and told him that she is not interested in him and he should stop all this otherwise she would complain against him in police. It was like a strong bolt on his big so called man ego. Why it is so hard for you guys to take a no for an answer. When a girl is saying back off, she means it. But that did not happen in this case and he did the heinous crime of kidnapping her and raping her and leaving her in the jungle to die. But she was saved by some people and was admitted to hospital. After fighting for life for days and night, she finally was stable and when she gained consciousness, even though it was hard to even recall such a incident, she decided to fight for herself and lodged a complaint against Vishnu and the investigating officer was none other than Gaurav Kapoor. After the FIR, my bhai was offered money first to drop the case, then he received threatening calls but he decided to do his duty honestly...U know why, because he had promised Seema that he will help her to get justice. I had heard him saying to dad that there are so many girls in India that go through this life shattering crime but there are only few of like Seema who comes forward and fight for wrong and he will make sure that her fight for justice does not get lost somewhere. When Vishnu and his men came to know all about this, they decided to kill Seema and they had become successful in that too if my bhai had not reached there on time but in all this Vishnu was killed in an encounter. This was the reality why Vishnu was killed. He was no hero or any normal citizen rather he was a rapist and he deserved more severe punishment than what he got.

Sakshi: Why are you so quiet after listening all this? Maybe I know why. Maybe this incident had reminded you something or should I say about someone. Who can be someone? Maybe someone named Mrs. Poonam Sharma ...nah...should I say Miss. Poonam Bajaj- your sister. Am I right or am I right?

Why are you so shocked baby? You think how do I know all this?

I think it's time for me to tell you some truth too. Approximately after four months, you fled from Aditi house in Pune, Aditi called me and told me she has gotten information about Poonam Bajaj and thus we have to go to Manali. I did not want to go but Aditi insisted and I decided to go with her. There we met her- Poonam- your sister. Aditi wanted to know about you or if you were in contact with her but she told us, you don't contact her since she got married. You don't want her married life to suffer because of what you did or what you do. After using little tricks of journalism and investigation on her, she blurted all the truth about her. She told us how she was studying in Delhi when a police officer (imagine like Mahesh Manjrekar character in Wanted and how he used to bother Ayesha Takia in that film) started bothering her and troubling her. He even tried to threaten her. She did not tell you but you came to know all this when you came to visit her in Delhi. When you came to know about all this, all hell broke loose and you and your friends sort of kidnapped that police officer and thrashed him so badly that he almost died. Then you took your sister from Delhi and put her into another college in some other place. There she fell in love with some guy in her college and eventually they got married. She told you to come and visit you but by that time you were already on the wrong path and you explained her it's better if she never tells anyone about you. We made sure she was telling truth about having no relations with you at all. If I wanted, I could have gone to CBI that time and told all about your sister then but I decided against it only because that would be wrong. Why should she suffer because of what you were doing? She was living happy and respectful life with her husband and kids and why should she have to put up with all this.

But I have a question for you. Why did you beat that police officer?

Vikram: You are saying that Sakshi. She was bothering my sister.

Sakshi: So what. Tum mardo ko toh right hai yeh sab karne ka. Right?

Vikram: No. You are wrong. Do you even realize what you are saying? It was question of my sister's honor. If I would not have saved her that time, do you even know what could have happened with her? Maybe something similar that happened with Seema. After blurting those words out he realized what he said.

Sakshi: Ab chup kyun ho gaye. So what was my brother doing wrong? He was only doing his duty and for that only my whole family was murdered. Why? What was wrong if he thought that Seema and girls like Seema should get justice and have every right to live peacefully after that. What is wrong in that? You asked me nah before that why have not Sikander caught then, why ETF have not helped me. It's not because they don't want to help, its because Sikander is sitting behind in curtains and people like you are helping him to do all his B.S. Look what had he made you. He has not helped you in any way. You told me before I had progressed a lot. You too have. Before you were only conman, then drug peddler and now what you are going to do in Mumbai, you will get a new recognition- A terrorist.

Lekin meri ek baat samaj lo. Mera kuch bhi ho. I survive or not. But your Sikander days are definitely limited. Waise toh usne kitne logo ki zindagi barbaad ki aur bahut se log usse badla lena chahte hain lekin ek ishaan hai joh usse maar kar hi rahe ga. He won't die before he kills him. He will definitely kill that bast**d and trust me Sikander's days are only limited.

On the other side in the ETF Van

Everybody was so shocked after hearing what Sakshi said but they knew this was not the time. They were looking at each other faces. Sameer was the first one to recover.

Sameer: guys Control yourself. It's time for some action. Chotu tell everyone to be alert and we are going in.

Then he looked towards Arjun and they both nodded.

Arjun: Let's do it.
