Saakshi tried to digest what she had seen just now. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
"no..this is not true...no.." she told herself.
"mammmaaa!!!!!" her kids came running covered in red towels.
Saakshi immediately wiped her tears.
"mamma! Jaldi jaldi breakie dooo!!!!!" Aryan screamed.
Sia moved towards the mirror and was busy applying lip gloss.
"sia???" saakshi asked cutely. "aap kya kar rahi ho?" saakshi went and pulled Sia's ears.
Sia's eyes pulled up in fear.
She turned around and gave the cutest puppy face in the world! Sia was exactly like Saakshi only a bit of stubbornness was borrowed from Arjun.
They both ran away as Saakshi smiled at them. As soon as they left she came back to herself.
Saakshi took a deep breath and looked at her's and Arjun picture hanging on the wall.
"no ...no way!" she thought.
It had to be a misunderstanding...right? But then why didn't Arjun ever give a hint of Sanjana?
As much as she wanted to avoid these questions popping in her head one after the other she also wanted to know about this girl. She took his phone and read the messages again.
"arjun i love u sooo much" "last night was the best..it was unforgettable"
Wait. Wasn't he out of town yesterday? Hadn't he gone to Delhi for a meeting? Then...how did he meet Sanjana? Did he meet her in Delhi?Why did he meet her in first place?
Her head spinned. Thinking about Arjun like this was didn't seem right to her. After all the circumstances they had gone through in their respective past ...Arjun really wasn't such a guy! I mean no way he'd turn out to be a cheater!
The best thing right now was-clarification. Saakshi decided that when Arjun would come home today she would ask him straight away!
"yes..! i will ask him...i should...m his wife...i should.." she thought. But she was scared. What if it was just a misunderstanding..she would in turn end up hurting him.
"o god..!!" she thought.
"but i have to ask him!" she thought.
She calmed her nerves.
The rest of the day was weird for the people around Saakshi. She misplaced stuff,fumbled words,threw things,grew impatient at every mistake of others. It was very queer.
Saakshi's mind was just thinking about Arjun and Sanjana. She couldn't concentrate anywhere else.
Evening 8 p.m.
A car came to halt. Saakshi hurried to open the door. Arjun came in nervously.
"what happened?" saakshi asked.
"where the hell were u?? I'd been trying to call you since morning! I had left my phone!" he screamed throwing his files.
He removed his tie in anger,literally tore it. saakshi was startled at his behaviour.
Sia and Aryan ran into their room seeing Arjun fuming.
"arjun...meri baat suno.." saakshi tried to go forward towards him.
"stop!" arjun said.
"responsibility naam ki ek cheez hoti hain...i had a meeting in Bangalore today..i couldn't even contact my clients..i realised i had left my phone when i reached Bangalore"
"but Arjun listen to me"
"stop Saakshi..! just leave me alone" he said and went up to their room.
Saakshi felt insulted. I mean it was his phone he had to take care of it. he cant blame her for leaving his phone. But yeah it was her mistake too she should have sent it to his office.
But no, Saakshi couldn't wait even a second to ask him about Sanjana.
She moved to their room and saw that he was in the washroom. She picked up his shirt lying on the floor. He would have thrown it in anger. This man! Pheww!
She smelled something. The scent of a lady. She brought the shirt closer to her nose. It was a girl's perfume. And it was definitely not hers!
