Chapter 2
"Well wish you luck then Mr Vikrant Mehra." I got up and picked my purse.
"Same to you Miss Sanaya Shah."
"Hope we meet soon." I said, offering my hand.
He took it, "We will." He winked.
And we parted in different directions.
I didn't know what my future was, but one thing I knew, he was surely a part of it.
A BIG and very IMPORTANT part of it.
I was still having that "something" feeling in me.
That "Something" feeling, which usually comes when I am about to do something big or maybe something big was going to happen to me.
I had some part of this feeling converted into a ticklish feeling in my stomach while I was with Vikrant. But some of it was still left.
Vikrant'
It made me turn back to glace at him while I was walking out of the door.
He was still there. Those eyes were stuck on me. I was hundred percent sure that he was studying my entire figure all this time.
Having a perfect view of my tiny figure. Oh! What must had been the most fascinating part to observe, would be my long slender legs that was exposed to the mercy of the viewers, as the short black dress managed to cover it very indecently.
When I turned, he looked at my face and passed his magnificent smile.
To my surprise, even I passed him one of my trendy smiles.
Those Goosebumps were hard to ignore and so was the ticklish sensation. He was indeed a beauty.
And that is the main reason I had to leave.
I walked passed this maddening place, to the parking lot.
EH! This high heels and tight dress made it seem like forever. How can some people carry themselves comfortably?
My car was just a few metres away, it boosted up my spirit.
Until'
I felt my chest colliding with something very hard and within a fraction of second I felt my butt hit the ground hard.
"Aah." I screamed.
Hell, as it is, it took great effort to carry myself in these clothes and shoes and on top of it I m hit to fall on my butt by some'
Eh! Person?
I crashed into a person?
Stupid, idiotic person.
Well, I didn't see his face, but he looked well built. No wonder why I fell hard. Ah! But what is the use if he couldn't even stop a girl from falling?
I was still on the ground. And that moron didn't even bother to give me his hand.
He just stood there. Stood? No' wait.
My jaw dropped.
He' He was walking away.
Son of 'whatever'! He threw me on the ground and he is walking away? Just like that? Not even a sorry?
"Hey." I shouted. Surely this person was getting a good piece of my mind. He must surely be drunk. And no way was I going to let a Bewarda throw me on the ground and walk past. Intentionally or not.
"Hey there. You." But no heed. He just kept on walking and walking.
Agh! With great difficulty I stood up.
He had reached a certain distance. I removed my heels and ran up to him.
"Hey, you Mr." I blocked his path.
I saw him for the first time. And for the second time my breath was stuck in my throat.
Damn! He was also beautiful. He had similar features like Vikrant. Eh! Maybe a darker skin-tone, but even that was sexy.
He was just like Vikrant. And yet so different.
Vikrant eyes carried splendor and magnificence. But this person, his eyes were drained. It was blank, like his face.
He looked up to me. Those eyes to speak volumes.
"Why the hell are you blocking my path?" His harsh voice came breaking my trance.
I regained my attitude.
"Excuse me Mr. Tum ho kon?" Pointing my heels to him.
"Tumse matlab." He replied sharply.
My jaws dropped, this man was unbelievable. "Haww! Tumhare vajah se mein itni jo se giri, and you don't have the audacity to say a sorry." I scolded him.
He seemed uninterested all along. All he had in mind was to throw me aside and resume his journey.
He looked at me. Actually studied me. His eyes judged my appearance. The way he did, made me flush as if I was naked.
His eyes were powerful.
Then he looked up to me. Though unvoiced, but the message was quite clear' 'If you wear cloths like this, what do you expect?'
I flushed even more at that.
Hadn't I been in this situation, I would have jumped with joy that a hot guys is checking me out. But right now, he had triggered my wrong nerve. I was angry. Very angry.
"What do you think, ki tum pi ke nashe mein tun hoke, kisi bhi chalti ladki ko dhakka de ke gira doge aur tumhe koi kuch nahi kahega?" I voiced darkly, hoping to scare him with that.
My efforts seem to flush down the toilet as he looked at me, unaffected.
This was irritating. I looked at him wondering what to say that could have an effect on him. Stupid Inreactive Specie.
It made me look into his eyes again. Those eyes though blank reflected pain. Too much pain.
He didn't smell alcohol, so definitely wasn't drunk, but those eyes were.
My kind heart was shadowed by my frustration to hurt this guy. I said in a very smooth and dark voice, "Tum jese aadmiyo ko mein aache tarah se jaanti hu. Pyaar karo phir dhokha khao aur phir jab who chod ke chali jaaye tab yesi hi sharab pi kar apne dard ko bhulane ki koshish karo. Par yeh nautanki kuch hi dino ke liye chalti hai. Uss ladki ke gaye huye char din bhi nahi hote, ki kissi aur ke saath pyaar bhare vaade karne lago."
"Tum ladko par toh bilkul bhi bharosa karna nahi chahiye. Jarur tumne hi kuch kiya hoga. Phele galti karo, phir yeh sab nautanki karo. Pi ke tun. Bewarda kahika." I continued.
Judging this man by his looks, I should have been strangled to death. But it wasn't so. His eyes were' Pleading?
Yes, it was pleading me to stop. As if he couldn't take it anymore. Damn! I touched his soft nerve. He might cry any second.
I bit my tongue and regretted my words. But isn't it a known fact that anger slows down your thinking process. It did mine.
I couldn't push down my anger to level zero.
"Jo bhi ho, I m least interested. All I care is that, apne iss sad lovestory ke side-effects apne paas hi rakho. Don't let others be a prey."
And I walked away. It was my ego that said those lines, not me. I would have normally calmed him down and said assuring words. But I couldn't. Just couldn't.
I was regretting my words undoubtedly.
Huh! But I wouldn't help it. I can be very bad at times.
I glanced back; he was there, standing still as a stone. No guesses required to know what he was thinking.
I banged my hand against the wall. It hurt. Hoping that it would soothe out, even if a little, the regret I had in my heart.
A few days later'
I sat down besides the huge pile of newspapers. There were newspapers lying throughout my house.
I needed to sell the old ones right away.
Humph! Tough job.
I began stocking up them, when I found one article that caught my eyes.
Dated 2 months back.
"Patni ki Hatya ke Baadh ACP ke apna Hosh Khoya."
And in between it had the picture of the guy she met outside the pub.
ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte.
