Exactly, and to be fair this was probably planned from the beginning I think, even with Riya.

Sure he was bit soft with her but I am sure something would have made him snap at any given time.

He is more aggressive with Sakshi because Sakshi's character is way different from Riya.

And I think the whole Father BG was going to be usexd on Riya also, I mean think about it, Riya said to Rathore to tell her father that she was not scared at the end. And her father was actually never shown, even when she was honored it was her mother who was shown not father.
