Chapter 7 – Facing the Horrors

She kept staring at the face that had haunted him so many nights that it had become her companion now.

He raised his other hand to reach her back to support and soothe her but her sobs grew stronger.She didn't know why but she complained to him as to why didn't he come earlier, where had he been all this. She had forgotten that she had left him to die two years back but alas it was in his arms that sought shelter and felt safe and protected.

Arjun couldn't detach her from himself. After two years also she had the same effect on him as always and before he knew his own arms went around her promising her to protect from all fears and problems and he found peace by holding her shaking body to him. There was no place for emotions in his job but whatever it was he was feeling at that moment got over his every boundary and he felt and relaxed as her wet stresses clung to his face and she pressed herself more against his strong chest and he forgot all his reasoning .

They didn't know in their subconscious mind how much they had craved for this moment .Sometimes there is a moment in everyone's life that we find solace in the arms of the one we could never think of and we trust them more than anyone else. Your mind says no but your heart never agrees .Very slowly he untangled her from him and looked at her, the same eyes that used to speak volumes to her , the ones that had confessed her love to him without a word being said and the ones which had shown immense hatred when she had left him to die .As the last memory flashed he realized what was he doing , Today was not the time to let her know anything , it was better that she stayed in darkness .

Finally reaching to his decision he jerked her backwards and went away not sparing a look at her direction or he would have seen a broken Riya fallen on the ground. The idea of time had already left her but she still managed to get up and go inside, thankfully Choti was asleep and she could easily cry herself to sleep for the pain was something she has chosen for herself.Not trusting him was the biggest mistake she did Love was a pain for her which she had given to him also, who would have thought that after 2 years also the feeling would still be there, it hadn't been buried but intensified

Somewhere on another end of Mumbai there was a gang of 4 people celebrating their success.

Shree, Chotu and Liza were already watching movie and munching popcorn and had kept Ayesha with them too, forcefully tough . After the recklessness she had exhibited tonight no one wanted her out of there sight and it angered her .She wasn't a kid but a police officer .She saw the Chotu was already dozing off and Liza and Shree were already lost in themselves, typical of them she thought and quietly moved away giving them the privacy. She was just walking to her room when she saw that the light of Sameer room switched on.

She tiptoed and saw him secretly, he was try to bandage his wound on the back but wasn't able too. After lot of thinking on her part she finally thought to help him but before she could knock

"Ayesha, u can come in, stop standing at the door "Sameer Said

Of course how could she forget that he was their boss who could recognize them with their closed eyes too. She went towards him and helped to bandage the wound. Once everything was done Sameer got up and went towards the window which meant that her time there was over but she owed him an apology

"Sir, I am sorry for today"

"Hmm"

"Actually I didn't want them to leave, I thought if you all would be late then -"

"Then what Ayesha , do u really think of us to be fools .There is a reason that we told not to go alone .If you would have been caught then this whole mission could have been in danger"

"I would never reveal anything "

"I know and that's why you are here, but don't forget there are other ways to get someone talking. The ones which we also use '

He turned towards her and finally saw the vulnerable Ayesha who for the first time she wasn't meeting his eyes

"Ayesha I know the reason why have you joined us, but for justice to be provided it's better that you try and stay alive. I have seen the fear in Shree eyes when he came to know that you ventured alone. Alteast think about him before doing something as reckless as this -You are his only family."

"Also for the last time I am letting you know that never ever defy the orders "

Ayesha just gave a slight nod and went back to her room. Sameer on the other hand was distressed, he had never wanted to shout on her but she had left him with no option. How he wished that he could hold her forever and hide herself from the world but alas that wasn't a option. He had to see her fighting with her demons every single day and yet couldn't do anything about it

That night there were 4 hearts in turmoil

Riya was hurt for she couldn't believe in their love and had hurt both of them. Arjun was trying hard to be away from her but failing, not to forget that she was a suspect in there mission .Sameer had to hide his love for Ayesha and mask it by his anger and Pain and betrayal was what love meant for Ayesha .

Leaving these 4 hearts it was only Liza & Shree who were happy in their own worlds in spite of the fact they didn't know how much time they would have together but whatever time they had it was for them
