Shooting for a daily soap is not easy. The long working hours take their toll. However, in a show like Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek, the task is that much tougher. A different location everyday, strenuous action sequences be it on road, jungle or on outskirts of the city and weather conditions be it chilly dew at 2 am or sweltering heat at 2pm. One thing that takes a hit is one's health.
Behzaad Khan – ACP Sameer Rathore of Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek
Siddharth Sen who plays Shree had been ill with typhoid recently. He had to shoot despite the illness for a few days due to continuity in an episode and was given rest for one of them. Now, both Shaleen Malhotra (Arjun Suryakant Rawte) and Behzaad Khan (ACP Sameer Rathore) have taken ill. They had been popping medicines to do the shots for the last few days. Yesterday, in between shoot, Shaleen visited the doctor and was resting in his vanity when not required to shoot. Behzaad has viral fever and rested yesterday however, he will have to shoot today. Such is the life of artists in an episodic series.
Siddharth Sen – Shree aka Shreekant Sen of Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek
In the jungle episode, the shoot was on top of a hill in film city which is a certifiable jungle with wild life present. There are snakes and other reptiles that one has to be careful about. Also, leopard and other mammals. An interesting story for you all. During the shoot, there was use of dummy leopard as real animals cannot be used to shoot under law. Now, the "prop" had to be kept under wraps after a little while as when it was left open near a van, there were monkeys who saw the "leopard" and congregated making angry noises at it. And yes, it is a little scary as these are wild animals who could attack anyone. The safety of the cast and crew is paramount while shooting.
Shital Shah – Aayesha Kapoort of Arjun – Har Yug Mein Aayega Ek
The health of the cast and crew is of importance however, one has to shoot with some changes in the sequences as telecast is equally important and a day lost adds to work. The producer, 4 Lions Films, cast and crew bring you series under extreme conditions sometimes and yes that is part of life in television series. However, the human element cannot be ignored.
