Precap: They order everybody in the society not to go out of the town before the case is solved.
Chapter 3
They all sit in the ETF car together. As Riya was no more to join them, they used only one car.😭
First they go to their houses and change for the sad occasion. They all meet at ETF headquarters after an hour and start going to the commissioner's office. The award ceremony was being held at the conference hall. In the car, all of them were exceptionally silent. They had still not forgotten their Riya, her dimpled smiles and even her statistics and percentages.
On the way, Shree is the first to speak:" Sir, mujhe abhi bhi samajh nahin aa raha kya zarurat hai ek nayi officer ki."
Arjun:" Shree, ham is baare mein baat kar chuke hain. Police officers hain hum. Apni emotions aur kaam ko alag alag rakhna hamare liye bahut zaruri hai. Samjhe ya samjhaun?"
Shree doesnt answer back but thinks in his mind, " Khadoos kahinka, hamari Riya iske liye kitna care karti thi aur yeh hai ki, isse koi fark hi nahin padta."
Chhotu( who was driving):" Hum pahunch gaye." Saying this he moves out of the car, but Arjun observes a single tear falling from his eyes. He thinks: "Pata nahin yeh log apni emotions ko control karna kab sikhenge?" But in his heart he also knew and well understood the reason for their sadness. Afterall he had also lost his Roshni, in the same manner as Riya, rolling in pain just in front of his eyes.
Inside they see a huge crowd. Rathore goes to meet the new home minister( the old one was caught red handed by the ETF a few months ago), who was also present there. Shree and Chhotu go to meet Riya's parents. But Arjun waits at the doorstep leaning on its hinges.
Commissioner is standing on the stage and begins his speech:" Guests aur officers, aap sab ko pata hai ki aaj hum yahan kyun ikattha huye hain. Kuch dinon pehle hamare police department ne ek bahut hi bahadur aur sacrificing officer ko khoya hai. Ms. Riya Mukherjee ka balidaan hame hamesha yaad rahega. Hamare police department hi nahin balki hamare pure desh ne ek kaabil aur honhaar ladki ko khoya hai. Yeh marnoparant samman aur puraskar uss jaanbaaz officer ke liye bahut kam hai jisne is desh ki logon ki raksha mein apna jeevan samarpit kar diya."
At the end of the speech, all ETF members get the flashbacks of Riya's last moments. All of them, even Arjun, had tearful eyes. Rathod, Shree and Chotu move towards the commissioneer, who in turn moves towards Arjun. When they all assemble, Commissioner saab starts speaking:" Rathore, main janta hun ye tum sab ke liye thoda mushkil hoga, par hum dono jaante hain ki ETF mein ek aur officer ki kitni zarurat hai."
Rathore:" Ji sir."
Commissioner:" Ruko mai tumhe usse milwata hun." Saying this he goes.
Rathore:" Chotu, Shree mai tum dono ko warn kar raha hun. Mai personal reasons ki wajah se koi bhi misbehavioour bardaash nahin karunga."
Chotu and Shree (together):"OK sir."
The commissioner comes back with a girl. All are shocked to see that she is none other than Spandana Malhotra. Spandana is also shocked to see them.
Commissioner:" Rathod isse milo yeh hai Spandana tumhari nayi research specialist. Aur Spandana inse milo yeh hai Mr. Sameer Rathod, ETF ke aur abse tumhare naye senior."
While speaking he gets a phone call and excuses himself.
Rathore:" ETF mein aapka swagat hai."
Spandana:" Thank you sir. To kal milte hain, crime scene par?"
Rathore:" Nahin, behtar hoga ki ki tum office aakar apne work environment aur kaam ko achhe se samajh lo."
Spandana:" Ok sir. Par abhi mai chalti hum. Bye"
Rathore:"OK"
All ETF officers are satisfied with the addition of such an intelligent girl in their team.
