Chapter 9

Arjun was taken aback… he had no idea what was happening….he felt as if his life had stopped. He looked at riya who was about to get unconscious.

Arjun- riya? ruhi di? Meri ruhi di? meri sister?

Tears welled up in arjun's eyes as he saw riya nod to his question.

Riya closed her eyes. Arjun went to his bed and sat. he clutched the bed sheet. He was sad, angry, shocked… all at the same time. He wanted to cry but he couldn't. All his life he respected his sister so much only to fins out that she was a traitor.

Just then he heard riya call out his name with her sweet and gently voice.

He walked up to her, carried her in his arms and gently placed her on the bed. He sat next to her and gently caressed her. she smiled.

Riya- sir…. Mai …mai... aapko dukhi nahi karna chahti thi.. …

Arjun smiled and kept his hand on riya's cheek.

Arjun- tumhaari koi galti nahi hai riya……abhi so jaao… hum baad me baat karenge… ok?

Riya dozed off. Arjun kept looking at her until he heard shree at the door.

He got up and opened the door.

Shree- kya hua? Riya hai kya andar?

Arjun- haan andar hai…. so rahi hai….

Shree-wo….wo….. samara ko koi galti nahi thi, usne nahi pata tha ki riya ki drink me alcohol hai….

Arjun- haan theek hai…koi baat nahi… tum neeche jao.. mai aata hoon…

Shree- ok…

Shree walked away confused at the sudden change in arjun's behaviour. He didn't shout at samara or me for making riya drink alcohol. He didn't show any signs of even knowing that the party had ended. Shree thought.

Arjun went to rathore and told everything about what happened. Rathore was shocked.

Rathore- what?? Ye kaise ho gaya… hum logo se itni badi galti kaise ho sakti hai?

Arjun was silent.

Rathore- chup kyu ho tum? Kuch bolo na…….

Arjun- riya ko innocent prove karna hoga….

Rahtore- nahi… aisa kiya toh…

Arjun- mai jaanta hoon, ruhi di ke baare me sab sach bataana hoga…..i am ready for it.

Rathore- ye tum kya keh rahe ho? Ye socha hai ki pari pe kya beetegi?

Arjun- pari ko hum log samjha lenge… …. But riya and uski family ek aisi punishment kaat rahi hain, jisme unki koi galti nahi hai……

Rathore- theek hai……mai kuch karta hoon….

The next day, riya opened her eyes and saw arjun sitting next to her.

Riya- mr. rawte aap?

She quickly got up and looked around the room.

Arjun- (placing his hands on her shoulders)- its ok riya… vo kal party me tumne galti se….

Riya- I know sir… kuch piya that maine ……. God! I hope maine kuch silly nahi kiya kal!

Arjun smiled and cupped her face. With glittering eyes he looked at her.

Arjun- tumne kuch nahi kiya riya… kuch nahi….

Riya was confused. She tried to get up, but her head was still paining and she felt dizzy.Arjun held her gently and made her sit on the bed.

Arjun- riya…...

Arjun ran his hands through her hairs and cupped her face. He leaned and kissed her on the cheek. Riya's cheek became crimson. Arjun was still very close to her. she felt weak and was unable to look up at him. She cold only feel his breath. He moved very close to her, he kissed her forehead.

Then…Arjun moved to her ears and gently touched it with his lips.

Arjun- I love you…..

Riya felt a cold shiver run through her…. she always knew that arjun was developing feeling for her, but she never thought he would say something like this one day. She could hear her heat beat. She suddenly felt short of breath!

She had no idea what to do, so she quickly grabbed arjun and hugged him with all her strength . she didn't want to lose him. Arjun hugged her back.

Riya- I love you too….

Riya had no option but cry at the situation. She was happy…. Very happy…..she couldn't believe what life had done to her. she always thought she can never be happy again ….. but now.. she was… happy….

Arjun broke the hug and kissed her forehead again.

Arjun- mai neeche hoon, tum aa jao…. Breakfast ready hai…

He said with a smile.

Riya- ok….
