I am just catching up on the episodes. May I say that I find the Arasi character totally repugnant? I really dislike her and I think naming the serial after her was a big mistake....they should have just named it SELVI II: The Saga Continues. 😡

First, she goes into an irrational tantrum when she "discovers" that the baby she was cuddling was not her grandson (what an irony!!). Then she refuses to send Kalai for treatment because she does not want embarrassment and humiliation. What kind of woman is this? Selfish, irrational, arrogant, unforgiving, hypocrite. Even her own mother, who supposedly committed the greatest wrong of all of giving Selvi away, had come to her senses and regretted her actions....but Arasi forgives her mother and still ostracises Selvi. A clear case of double standards and hypocrisy. Selvarani, who also acted in a horribly disgusting way, is also forgiven (why do everyone have a go at Udhay and swept Selvarani's sick behaviour under the carpet?). Yet Policewoman thinks she is so superior to everyone else. Talking about that, when would we see Lady Cop in uniform again?

I would put Arasi on the same level as GJ. GJ's vile but Arasi is vile as well. It is just that they are vile in different ways.
