HI Jenim
YOu are correct. I have started a 'war' with Leena. 😊
Leena
If you remember reading Penn topic, most of us agreed that although Prajin and Meera looks good together, Meera's acting was wooden. Yes, I agree the scene where her family died, but the rest of the series she was wooden. One member even said maybe because she went through a lot. I only saw Meera in this serial, so my comments is based on that. If I see her again in another programme, she can prove me wrong and I will generously concede. 😊 Why I will even write a public acknowledgement saying yes, I liked her acting etc. Until then, my views about her still stands no matter how much you argue in her defence. Sorry this is my view only. Others could beg to differ.
Next, I said Sada's acting is quite good but long way to go. It is true. Again it is my view. Infact, I never liked Simran's acting because it is stereotype, but in Kannathil Muttamvital, her performance was superb. Similarly, Iwould like Sada to do something like Simran in KM.What I said was her answers were bimbo answers. I did not call her bimbo. There is a difference. So cool down Leena. 😊 Don't take it personally. 😊 Remember one man's meat is another man's poison.
I seldom watch interviews, but Sada's interview I caught up when I was changing channels. It was not a interview by Pepsi Uma. She is acting in a movie and someone took the interview for that movie.
Anyway, Sada I hope you saw Leena's defence. 😃
caryn, meera's acting in Unnai Charanyadithen was good. her expressions in it were not at all wooden. in Jerry, she played a police officer & her expressions, body language in it were impressive. I must say she was the best out of the 3 heroines in the film. Jerry wasn't great but meera was good in it.😊
maybe you should watch those two films & then judge for yourself how good meera really is. till then you can say meera is wooden. I won't say anything more in her defence.😉
anyways, if you watch hindi movies, you should check this one out. Rules - Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula. i've watched it & meera impressed me with her acting.
here a review i found of RPKSF. and the reviwer has a good word in meera's defence too.😊
check it out -

about sada.. you said she was giving bimbo answers. if someone gives bimbo answers, doesn't that automatically make then a bimbo? it's like saying that someone who practices farming isn't a farmer.😆😆 lame logic sorry. but it's the only one I can think of now.😆😆😆
sada has done quite a variety of roles in the few films she has done & has proven that she can act well in almost every role given.
it's true & sad that she hasn't been given roles that exposes her to a myriad of emotions like simran in Priyamanavale or Kannathil Muthamittal. but sada has made most of the roles she has been given currently.
as far as I can see, this is what I feel about sada's acting in her films :
Jeyam – her role was that of a village girl who is not afraid to stand up for herself. after she falls in love she even changes the man she loves from a coward to a strong minded man. this was her debut role but she showed immense talent in potraying that sujatha role to perfection. who can forget her 'poya po' dialogue?
Varnajalam – it was a guest role. but sada shone in the movie much more than Kutti Radhika. the touching way she refuses a proposal from a rich classmate because she is grateful to her painter mama Srikant still remains in my memory. and the scene where she dies moved me to tears.😭😭
Ethiri – her role in this was different. after she is rescued by madhavan attempting sucicide, she falls in love with him. but doesn't show it till she confirms that he loves her back. sada's acting in this wasn't that great but her expressions were good. especially in the scenes where she clashes with madhavan & the climax scene with raghuman.👏👏
Anniyan – sada in a whole new avatar. shankar brought out both her homely side & glamorous side in this film. sada's dialogue delivery as a Brahmin girl was nearly perfect. true that kaniha dubbed for her but it was sada who had to give the expressions to the dialogues. the scene where vikram turns into anniyan & tries to kill her by throwing her inot the fire, sada excelled in that scene. her tears & facial expressions deserve two claps!👏👏
Priyasakhi - one of sada's best films to date. her character Priya is a real character. a modern girl who falls in love with a man who has a joint family. her desires to have a peaceful family life is disrupted by her husband's overzealous attitude towards his family. sada's transition from a happy lover to an unhappy wife to a reproachful mother was commendable.👏👏 Suresh Kumar who hosts Lion Dates Top 10 Movies even said that sada may not have impressed you with her beauty but she sure impresses you with her acting.😃 I've always admired him for his neutral opinions & I think I can safely say I trust his words.😉
Thirupathi – sada came in a typical heroine role. I wish she would do more films like priyasakhi & less films like thirupathi. her role was bubbly but nothing impressive.😊
I admit sada is not perfect but saying that she's not a good actress, I can't find that acceptable. I am not aiming this at caryn but to anyone of sada's detractors. I've come across loads of them.😕 caryn what you said about sada is only 1% of all the other nasty things people say about her.
actresses like trisha or namitha can't even be compared to sada. sada doesn't know tamil & she gives good expressions & some actresses who are Chennai born & even won miss Chennai can't give up to the mark expressions.😕
I am not picking a fight with caryn. I understand what you mean but hey, we're all here to express opinions. and I do love a good debate now & then. it livens up the forum.😊
i don't know how many of sada's films you've watched caryn but you're entitled to your own opinion. i rest my case for now. tired from all that typing.😆😆😆
