Anupamaa's character has become so unpragmatic, so unrelatable, so far removed from any shred of normality, that her circumstances or choices alone would never evoke sympathy—certainly not hoots—until other characters related to her go to extreme lengths to insult and humiliate her, while she just stands there, gazing at them with teary eyes, forever yearning for their acceptance. This has been the case since long though, but it has only gotten worse. She doesn’t accept or correct the mistakes she makes. She is apologetic to a nauseating extent and never retorts when blamed for mistakes she hasn’t made. She can lecture and question the world when she should be looking inward—or not getting involved at all. She gives a long rope to people when she should be questioning them and taking a strong stand. She has no idea when to get involved or when to keep distance from a matter or a person. Whether she is at fault or not, her response to a situation is absolutely incomprehensible. How can someone be so twisted !! This character has 0, absolute 0 relatability factor.

She is allergetic to Self Respect.

If Anupama had self respect, she would not be so desperate to meet Raahi, the very daughter who had hated her.

Jhoola Queen who had humiliated, insulted, taunted and abused Anupama on multiple occasions is her Bhagwan Saman Maa and Baa kabhi galat nahi ho sakti. On the contrary, Kanta Ben (Anupama's biological mother) who gave her a valuable piece of advice (Just before Anupama's 2nd wedding with Anuj) is crap. But when Shah's abuse, insult and humiliate her she likes becoming their favourite maid.

The only time when Anupama went to Kanta Ben was during the Maya track when Anuj left the KM for CA / Aadhya / Rahi. But rest of the time she kept visiting the circus (Called SH) only to get insulted, humiliated, abused and kicked out. She has become every 1's favourite punching bag. She deserved Mishter Shah's taunts, abuses and insults, not Mere Anuj.

She does not have any self respect and is beyond any redemption now.

What I don't understand is that, to glorify Anupamaa, they are making her look pathetic. There are so many women and men alike in this world, who are treated as doormats and used when convenient but showing her smiling after abuse and taking pics, is portraying the wrong message.

Anupama can never be an inspiration to any woman.
