Saw an interview of Dalljiet Kaur on Pinkvilla!! What an inspirational woman.
The makers of Anupamaa could learn a thing or two from her. Two losers for a husband and that girl is still up and standing.
The way her voice breaks when mentioning her pain. This is the actress who has always managed to tear up the audience with her on-screen performances. But when her voice was breaking while talking about her trauma, the level of pain in her eyes is unexplainable. I didn't know how to react man. I always teared up when she used to cry on screen, but this level of pain was something else entirely.
I ponder how does one deal with this level of heartbreak.
But her clarity of her situation, the ability to handle it, and the competence she has displayed in standing up for herself is commendable.
Woh ladki itna tootne ke baad khud ko jod rahi hai aur yahi cheez usse banayegi.
You know Anupamaa is supposed to be about this. That's why this show had become the number one show of the nation.
But after this leap, a third disappointing leap, to be honest, it's evident that the makers of the show have completely lost the plot.
The insane trolling for copying Akshara Nair's scene, not just the scene, the whole story. Not to mention the level of disappointment at the lead pair casting.
It's like they are saying, "We're done with the audience; we won't take effort to deliver you any content. At least anything of value."
The girl playing Naira's equivalent and Kartik's equivalent guy are fresh faces but have no charm. I love Adhya as a character so much, both the Adhyas are my favorites, but this girl I can never see any Adhya traits in her. Don't care about the guy; both should have been cast as a side character. Way below mediocre.
I used to love little Naira and Naksh so much. Not only the grown-ups were cast well, but their stories and pairings were great too.
What has DKP achieved with this casting?
The only casting I liked were Ansh and Pari, and they are not even leads. Ansh ko phir lead bana do usse achcha.
Getting back to the show, I had always been an admirer of the immense courage Anupamaa displayed in choosing herself. Once a feminist show has now become the butt of jokes and is used to look down upon feminism.
Fans complain because they have expected something from you. They'll find some new show to watch and follow. But what about you?
I ask the makers, are they happy with what they have achieved?
And I don't mean TRPs, fake reviews, and fake fan adoration or whatever. Khud ko bada samajhna band karo, grow up guys! No one cares about your 2+ rating when your content level has gone so low; it is unacceptable.
It has come to a point where one wonders, when does passion for work stop? Is it when you get too comfortable or is it when your ego keeps you on a high horse.
Anyway, back to the show, this show was really supposed to be something - women need something, something to hold on to, some story to look up to, something to get inspired from. But you gave it to us and took it back, and it is really sad.
