Pakhi always had a FOMO. Dimpy was becoming a mother. She was getting all the care and attention. Anupamaa always elevated the status of a mother way more than it was required. Immature as she always was, she wanted to become a mother for the sake of material benefits - Godhbharai, gifts. No doubt she could not embrace the child as a part of her own. Unfortunately, this is another adoption that should have never happened in the show. The moment she finds another object to satisfy her material needs she is ready to drop the child off. A little child's well-being is paramount. Those who can't embrace a child wholeheartedly should never adopt. At least this much introspection one should do.
