A relative of mine lives in Jackson Heights in New York and because of the huge majority of Desi migrants there (Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Nepalese) even the white and black people know how broken Hindi, even the police. In many Desi migrant majority areas in the US, Hindi is almost as common as Spanish.

This is also common in the UK and Canada.

But obviously the wait staff automatically knows Hindi because they are in Maa-proximity exactly how a woman learns cooking automatically by having a baby.

Ah okay! But they were also relishing Indian food so normally, I mean from what I have known seeing few colleagues from diffferent parts, these people have a hard time having Indian food, but all of them were eating as if it’s their usual food, I know they all work for an Indian Restaurant but still it’s a bit too much.

Also its funny that residents in US know Hindi, but Maa cannot learn even a proper Sorry for them, so much arrogance that not just English, her Hindi is broken too.

Maybe her tourist "Indian" visa is coming to an end so she had to leave 🤔
