She pulls out her box with childhood memorabilia , she pulls out a happy family pic (taken at Mumbai) with mumma, Pops and herself as a little kid . She vents out her anger n hatred for her mumma and weeps .
At Shah house , Baa pampers and spoils Ansh , Baa plays doctor patient games with him, Vanraj smiles as Baa shares she feels Samar was present as Ansh here .They both miss Samar .Dimple watches them quietly .
At the restaurant in NY, Chef informs Anupama how her masala chai was a superhit among customers, specially Shruti and she was spreading it on the internet . She discusses about Gujrati food , which was missing from the menu in this Indian food restaurant. Chef informs hiw the owner hated Gujrati food . They all joke that he must have received heart ache from Gujrati person, some joke that his Gujrati GF must have ditched him that’s why he hated Gujrati food . Anupam is seen serving Gujrati dishes to customers oitsode the restaurant and its a super hit , she is praised . Anupama gives a long talk on how Food is treated as a God’s blessings , how Maa Annapurna was the goddess of Food , how all goddesses were maa and she too was a maa, she shares how motherhood teaches one how to be a good cook while meeting the demands of all family members n serving them the way they liked to eat various dishes .
Aadya meets Anupama at a shop where new year celebrations are on , she hates her and turns away, Anupama she is sweet to the stranger girl with whom she feels some unknown connection. Aadya says she disliked talking to strangers n walks away. She calls pops and informs she disliked this eating joint n was going to another place . Anuj is supportive.

She shows that video to Anuj n he finds the voice very similar to his Anu’s and gets uncomfortable as his thoughts fly to Anupama. He recollects how he sensed her presence in the scent of masala in the restaurant n the unmistakable Anupama ke haath Ki masala chai. He senses her presence in US n becomes uncomfortable as Shruti assures she will make them meet in their next visit .
