Why is GK not following HC's path? - Page 2

Just another take on this whole thing:

The shelf life of an actor in a lead role is very limited. After a certain time period, roles start depleting especially with younger people joining the workforce.

People beyond a certain age,

a. Are approached for very limited roles and

b. tend to stick around due to longevity and stability.

Experimenting at this stage is very, very risky for individuals.

AfterALL, everyone has a home to run, bills to pay.

This is true for ALL salaried professions.

That being the case, depending on their popularity and reach, they may be signed under very carefully drafted contracts Which further limits their options.

So, why an actor continues on a senseless show, could be a combination of so many of these complications.

Why such senseless shows run and gain TRPs? Well that one never knows, may be not.

If table gets wild it will drop on feet and show its importance if you do not respect it or treat it properly even non living things have self respect and get angry if not valued by family

True because india is such a populated country unemployment is more

Unlike hollywood where ppl can start acting at 6(Leonardo di caprio) and go on till 75(as lead actors like sylvester stallon, david nicholson etc)

In india only amitabh bachchan and dharmendra and ashok kumar could do that that too not as lead actors but side actors after 50 years

In hollywood many act till 80-90 and get roles and respect unlike india bollywood and in lead roles that too

Female lead actors have more tough times at 30-35 they stop getting lead roles and have to mom grandmom aunty roles

In It company after 35-40 years its tough for women to get jobs as management or senior roles usually(90% of time) men are preferred not women so they go into other profession like teaching, trainer etc or stop working. Total waste of education and talent

Company prefer younger actors as they charge less too in ITV or It company. If seniors are taken in lead roles they will charge more

Oh dear Lord! What a coincidence... Even I was thinking the same.

I was just watching Silsila show on rang channel and learnt that Drashti Dhami left in between because she wasn't happy how makers were turning her into an insecure wife after leap. Barun Sobti left IPKKND when it was running successfully.

I have immense respect for Harshad chopra after he decides to quit this crap show .

GK will never do that I feel. He doesn't seem to care about his on-screen persona . On the other hand, I feel he is right where he is because at the end of the day this is just a fiction show . There is no Anuj kapadia in reality. Such poular shows may come and go but one needs to be monetarily stable. We may critucize him but we are not gonna pay his bills. So yeah, HC being so popular will get enough work in future but this doesn't seem to be a case with Gaurav Khanna. Just like Danielle Radcliffe is asscociated with Harry Potter all the time, so is GK with Anuj. TV industry is brutal and getting work easily that too lead roles is not a childs play.

I wish his side businesses provide him more than enough so that he leaves this crap where he is not being respected .

Gaurav however was less known before Anupamaa and has become a household name after doing it if Tamashahi didn’t hire him then he’d still be a regular actor with a typical career.

This article clearly specifies that he is grateful to his master Tamashahi and has no problem in being a phaltu object like a table…

I mean, I guess you would pay his bills because you don't like his character arc?
