I do not know if you visited new york, usa or mumbai, bangalore hence assume that women working in It companies do not do any house work

First of all in usa to keep maid is very costly no one keeps actually not even those who earn 2 million or 5 million dollars a year they all do house work themselves

So woman has to get up and cook breakfast, lunch pack bags and send to hubby, kids etc not all can eat bun, bread or in hotel in usa

Even in india in mumbai, bangalore etc maid work only 1 hour for 4k-5k charges (5000) they will not cook or do many jobs only sweep mop and wash vessel and leave

Woman has to do all other works of house even if they work in IT companies and earn in lakhs per month in india too

For that you have to hire agency maid who charge 20k-30k(20000-30000 INR) per month in bangalore/mumbai metros full time ones. Even those full time will not do all job family has to do

In USa you can forget getting full time maid as its too costly and only satya nadela or sundar pichai or lawyers can afford that not 80% other indians who work in usa

I know women who are married who wake up 4am and 5am in india/usa do breakfast/lunch and park and send with kids/husband and than go to big It companies even in 2023. So your assumption is completely wrong.

Also nowadays diseas are more all get BP/sugar in 30s only because of hectic work so woman has to cook for husband or brother or son etc as they have diet to follow - maids will not cook as per your specification

So anupama doing drama that she does house work and as if its very big thing is funny because 80% women do it india or USA do house work plus go to work 12-14 hours a day too(IT company has no 8 hours work limit)

I agree with you as I myself working in IT company. But here the discussion is not about the amount of work. It's about her thought process, her priorities, her approach towards everything that needs to be changed. She should take an abuser as an abuser rather than treating them as her 'apne'. It's actually propogating very wrong idea of worshiping 'Bade' even if they abuse you on a daily basis.

Through Anupama makers are actually propagating that a women should always treat everyone with respect and become a doormat even if they treat her like shit.

So yes Anupama is wrong at many places. Her equation with Shah family is questionable. Her entire take on Anuj ,CA, Maaya fiasco is again wrong. But she is being portrayed as a Mahaan character which is again wrong.

Anyways I am happy that my Mother who was an ardent viewer of Anupama has now left watching the show saying that ' ye pagal aurat hai sab kuch mil gaya phir bhi roti rahti hai aur karti kuch nahi hai'.

Sorry I still don't believe one working woman all alone doing house hold chores for 10 member in family

I am not saying working woman do not do any house working yes they do .some house hold work but they will not do all house hold work all by herself especially in joint family or big family it is not possible they are doing all house hold work by themselves

Women have been working in India and managing homes from time in memoriam. As is the case anywhere in the world.

Women have supported families in their capacities and beyond at every age.

Regardless, of working or not women cannot be judged to elevate one character.

That is why, the respect for the characters of Rakhi (and Barkha) because they have done something about their lives in their limited capacities.

Not until recently, even maternity leave was only for 3 months. That too on child birth. Flexi working was unheard of.

Families opening up to share the load as well is slowly growing phenomenon.

Facilities, househelp, equipments (like even vacuum cleaners, dishwashers and washing machines becoming mainstream) are only popular in recent times but ALL come at a price that may or may not be affordable.

So women have not had it easy and cannot in anyway be Judged or Underestimated.

I know of and am absolutely proud of some of my teams' best performers being married women (returning mothers), some of who are in joint families and some who are soon-to-be mothers. Who equally well manage their homes.

Sorry to say, this is gross disservice to us working women.

I have mentioned clearly, these Services come at a price that not everyone can afford. Besides, many facilities are becoming popular now after many many decades. As for supportive families/husband that too is now happening but it has taken time for people's mindset to change.

In many cases, depending on working hours of the couple, it may be impractical to have a househelp, so, either the woman or (in current times, sometimes) the couple decide to do the household work themselves.

I do not need documents and surveys on the net when I have been witness to the changes in the last couple of decades within my own sphere.

I fail to understand what is being proved by calculating the amount of work women do in/outside the house, joint family etc.

For those who think that working women definitely needs a maid/help for household chores. That is a misconception. I have been doing it for several years now. Like someone said, I live in a county where hiring help is not easy. But, I’m not stupid to think that I am unique or have superpowers. There are millions of women like me or who might be going above and beyond the norm, but never beg for sympathy or have any grand expectations.
