Any Shows taken down to to Viewers' Protest?

Do we know which serials (across channels) were taken down due to Viewers' protest and found guilty of mocking public, cultural sentiments?

Asking this because, the only barometer for a success is the TRP and wonder if there can be a correlation.

From what we have seen here and snippets from Social Media, hey detest the show or seem to be enraged about it. How is it still the top show?

Television is a strong and medium And can influence impressionable minds.

How is there no protest against the horrible, regressive ideas shown on the show.?

There was a show called Pehredaar Piya Ki which showed marriage of a 20 year old girl and 10 year old boy. Promos were also shot in bit offensive manner...show got lot of negative publicity and notice by government as well...It got closed in a month of airing in 2017

Nope! I dont think PH care? Wehn I messaged Ketki (the director), she replied back to me saying why are you still watching the show. So you can see that they sre very confident about part of group that they know will watch the show no matter what. They don’t care about us.

I stopped watching many months ago, and it was because of the same reason you gave above. I was communicating with Bhavana the writer and Ketki the creative director - they both on different occasions told me in clear words to stop watching because it seems I was not the audience they were targeting and that I was free to stop watching and that's what I did - Seriously some of us on the forum were here when the pandemic hit and Anuj joined and then after the wedding it was all downhill. I've stopped watching, just see some insta updates and forum updates here and there and still don't have any inclination to watch this shit show - every person in this show has an EMA and there is no sanctity of marriage - relationships.

We are definitely not the target audience - really not sure who watches this show - there is no continuity, the main reason why Anuj left is never discussed, Choti left, why did anupama let Choti go, none was ever explained, does Anuj have mental health issues - .... totally all up in the air and never tie loose ends so fedup

IPK was shut down when the ml actor left the show and they even hired another actor to replace him. Fans were so mad they refused to even entertain the idea a new guy for the fl and the ml character ending. The ph basically scrambled to finish up the show in the end. The show was one of the biggest shows at that time and the fandom is still crazy about the pair even now star even did a special series on the show a few years later with most of the og cast. The show was not doing anything wrong track wise but the actors wanting to leave and characters ending especially the lead did not sit well with the audience. Personally I felt the show had lost steam by then and it was better to end it on a good note rather than drag tracks and ruin anything and adding a new guy would have tainted the shows immense popularity. ASR and KKG will always be an iconic pair for many.

I was quite upset when the show went off air, but now seeing Anuj and Anupama completely butchered, I am happy that the show ended on a good note leaving good memories instead of dragging and spoiling the essence.

the craze for the leads so so much that the ph finally had to make a decision even though the new guy was already shooting. I always felt the show was kind of done tracks wise and anymore dragging would ruin the show coz they did veer off many times and some characters were ignored but overall it was better to shut it rather than letting it drag on.

Star plus even had a ticker blaming the ML for the closure over the last episodes, such was the uproar 😡

I agree, Tiana, closing was way better than ruining the essence of ArHi. Could have been done more gracefully though 🙄
